Teton Glaciers - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Hello scrappy friends! Hope your week is off to a good start.

I have a few more scrapbook layouts from our trip to the Tetons in September 2020. It was such a trying year! What a blessing to be able to get away and enjoy God's creation at it's very best!

This collection is KaiserCraft "Let's Go". It worked perfectly with my pictures and I wish I had more of it. Having the stamps, ephemera and zip strip from the same collection makes it all so easy to assemble a coordinated page. I designed my title and journaling in a text inside a drawn box with my Cricut. The title font is "Go Canada"
I really like the color of the background paper. It's kind of a stormy blue.
Hope you are inspired to create today! Come back soon! Only a few Teton layouts left to share.

Grand Teton National Park - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

And just like that, the Christmas season is over. We're still decorated here, but that is how we roll. My husband loves to keep things up until his birthday in the middle of the month. I try to humor him as much as possible, because he does that for me.

I didn't get as many of my finished Christmas layouts posted as I would have liked, but I'm moving on to some of our travel photos.

We were blessed to take the most wonderful trip to Wyoming after one of my work trips in the fall of 2020, when almost nobody was venturing out.  The Tetons are truly amazing. I want to go back some day. The scenery is breathtaking.
The title is from Cricut Design Space. So fun to find a title that is perfect and ready to go on your page.

I kept the colors natural to match the beautiful photos. As the journaling mentions, the smoke from several wild fires as visible in all the pictures, but still so beautiful. I can't even imagine it being more beautiful with clear blue skies.

We took nature drives every day. Even when there was no wildlife around, the views couldn't be beat.
I used a natural colored tan scrap, along with some checked Kraft washi tape to ground the photos. Super easy!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello Sunshine - One Page Florida Scrapbook Layout

Here's a sunnier layout from our quick trip to Florida. Last one!! We were able to take a quick trip to the beach to just soak up some of the warmth before flying back to freezing Fort Wayne.

I used my Cricut to journal. It's so worth taking the extra time to do this!! My writing is so awful. I used a Cricut fine point pen and the DTC Bikini Babe font.

The paper is American Craft's "Explore", and Echo Park's "Good Day Sunshine" and "Happy Camper". I love the whimsical cameras and the fun colors. The title stickers are Close to My Heart's "Blue Skies". I used a mish-mash of different products, but love the way they all work great together.

That's the last of the photos from our Florida trip! Thanks for stopping by. Hope these inspire you in some crafty way. Have a blessed weekend!

Happy 7 - Two Page birthday girl scrapbook layout

Why haven't I posted this one yet? We're getting ready to celebrate our granddaughter's 11th!! Oh well, apparently I'm a few years behind. Shocker!

She is spunky, a little sassy, and a lot of sweetness! We couldn't love her more.

I love seeing the expressions on her face and watching her open her gifts. She looks so young here!!

I added some little details like photo corners, file tabs, washi tape, and mixed some patterned paper, along with layering up some of journal cards and embellishments. The aqua twine seems to tie it all together.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Fresh Christmas Tree - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and New Years celebration! I hope you were able to have your family/friends together and just savor your time together. It's been awhile since posting. Time to get back into that!!

My parents are gone now, and it's just me and my brother! We try to make an effort to get together a few times each year, even though we really aren't close. He lives in Michigan and I'm in NE Indiana. We were at his home last weekend for a couple of hours. but these pictures are from when he visited us for the weekend a few years ago after Christmas.

Neither of us are very photogenic here, but nonetheless it is a memory of us together!!
Pretty simple layout. I matted all of the photos on white to help them pop off the darker patterned paper. The title is larger since I didn't have a bunch of photos to use. I used Cricut Design Studio for the images.
Washi tape placed vertically between the papers, a few tags and journaling, plus a little bit of twine and DONE!

Hope you enjoy the after Christmas inspiration! Have a blessed week.

Sunny Days - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Sunny days in Michigan are my favorite!! The lake and sky are so beautiful. We wish we could afford to have a place up there and rent it out part of the time. I mean why not? They make it look so doable on HGTV!! Unfortunately, it always take some money to make some money.

These photos were taken at a lakeside park in Traverse City.

I love all of the sunny colors on this layout. The chevron patterned paper started the color party, with the yellow photo matts running a close second. Cricut journaling is so much more legible than my own handwriting. I wish that weren't the case, but it is very true.

As I look back at this layout, I think of more that I might have added and possibly some pops of black, but I'm still proud of it and hope you are inspired in some way by it.

Have a lovely week!

Brave - One Page Scrapbook Layout

Last scrapbook layout honoring my son's graduation from the police academy. This picture was taken the day after his open house celebration. He was all dressed for his first day on the job!

He graduated  in 2020, literally during all of the George Floyd riots! It was a little bit alarming for all of us, but the bottom line is we know that God is in control. We are proud of his decision to serve his community.
I mixed several different patriotic patterned papers. Lots of red white and blue including my decorations on our mantel. I cut the star and the title banner with my Cricut. Wish I would have used my Cricut to journal this one, but guess the future generation will have to deal with my handwriting.

Have a blessed weekend.

Masculine Birthday Cards

Brrrr.....Baby it's cold outside. I wish I could sit home all day, and make stuff. No, really. I'm ready to retire, but my age bracket doesn't quite hit than benchmark yet...Nor does my IRA. Looks like I need to keep my day job. Do you look forward to retirement? The older I get, the more I can't wait!!

Today, I thought I'd share a few masculine birthday cards with you. I honestly, struggle with cards in general as compared to scrapbooking. Typically I browse my Pinterest boards and find something for a jumping off point.

I love this city scene. I think it is super cool. This one was created for one of my nephews. I liked the simple black and white color scheme. The stamp of the city is cut out and popped up with foam squares, but it would also work as super quick one layer card.

I can't get enough of tree stamps. Fall is my favorite, so trees, leaves, pumpkins and the like run rampant in my collection. This was a quick card, but it looks classy. You could add additional layers of colored solid cardstock under the patterned paper, or not...you choose.

This is probably my favorite on this post. Striped washi tape, grungy background stamps, a bit of ribbon, a popped up bright red star, and a graphic birthday stamped pennant. The colors give it a masculine look, but it would be fun experimenting for a similar grungy girly look.

This one is my second favorite and so stinkin' simple. If you are like me, you have a ton of patterned scraps. Grab some with coordinating masculine colors/patterns and cut a mustache either by hand, or on your Cricut. Add some grungy dots and you're done. The men in my life all love their facial hair, so it was perfect.

Explore - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout

I'm literally running out of descriptive words to use for the photos in my Hawaii layouts!! There should be more words for such beauty.

I love the fun distressed tropical paper that I used on top of the white 12x12 cardstock. As you can see, the picture I took of the layouts ended up crooked. It's hard to tell there is a white border all the way around the layout, but trust me. The title is from Cricut Design Space. I like the compass in place of the "O". Perfect for a beautiful day exploring.

I found a cute photo frame in my stash that brings out the lush green of the foliage, along with a journaling card featuring another compass. The loopy twine ribbon adds texture, along with the wispy fern branches.
This was another completely gorgeous day of exploration along the coast. I'm sitting in my craft space shivering right now!! I want to go back some day and soak up all of the sun again.

I hope you are enjoying my Hawaii layouts. I have several more to share, so we'll see you soon!

West Maui Mountains - Two Page Maui Layout

Hello on this happy first day of  December!! Can you believe it? This year has seemed so long and hard, but some how it has flown for me. Here we are 24 days from Christmas. Ready or not, it is coming.

I'm still enjoying sharing all of my layouts from our amazing Hawaii trip last year. It's time to share some more sunshine with you.

What a beautiful day this was. Of course, every day was beautiful! These pictures were from another day of explorations through the West Maui Mountains. The vegetation is so beautiful and lush, and the rainforest type atmosphere was fun to experience.
I used a large floral tropical paper from Kaiser Craft's "Paradise Found" collection for the background and added a layer of a peach which had a much smaller pattern to highlight the photos also from Kaiser Kraft "On this Day". I almost always matt all of my photos. It makes them pop off the patterned papers that I love to use. I used some orange travel washi and journaling cards and chipboard (WeRMemory Keepers "Jet Set")  tucked under the tape along with small title letters with woodgrain design.
I cut some pennants for the right and stamped a directional arrow (Close to My Heart) to add a little detail as well as some twine around the travel cards. I need to use stamps on my pages more often! I have so many that would be appropriate for scrapbooking!
There are a total of 6 digital size pictures here. I love using this size, especially with vertical pictures. They leave enough room at the top and bottom to add some design to the page.

Thanks for looking! I have lots more Hawaii layouts to share in addition to some layouts from Christmases past! Tis the season! Have a great rest of the week!

Turkey Treat Boxes

We are looking forward to our Thanksgiving meal with our precious family! How about you? It's a crazy time and many people aren't able to get together this year. Our group is small, but very close and I'm so thankful we can still make it work.

I thought I would take a minute and share these turkey treat boxes that I made for my grands last year. The box is from Design Space. It's called a "fry box". After cutting the box, I ran it through my cuddle bug to make it look like feathers. The eyes are two different circle punches. I cut a few feathers from various patterned paper scraps in different colors,  then free handed a gobble and beak. If you don't like the idea of free-handing, you could easily use a triangle for the beak and enlarge and stretch a comma for the gobble. Remember you can stretch and morph the shapes. Get creative!

Kids aren't always very excited about turkey and all the fixings, so these little peanut butter Ritz crackers gave them something fun to snack on.

Hope you enjoy your family this week!! We all have much to be thankful for...even in 2020.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Play Time - Two Page Summer Scrapbook Layout

Can you believe our summer is fading away so quickly?? Some say this year of virus, Politics and unrest is dragging. To me it seems like the year has flown by so fast!! It's definitely time to share a summer layout from a few years back before I get back to my Hawaii layouts.

I had this fun paper in my stash for quite awhile. I like it with these pictures. The only thing I see now that I'm missing is the date. Dangggit! I do that way too often.

First of all, the concentric circles are perfect, because these two crazies keep us running in circles. I'm glad we're younger grandparents than some, but tell that to my bones!! We had a great time with them and enjoyed every second of the crazy...Having already raised my two boys, I know how fast these years go by and we must make the most of them!!

I cut the clouds with my Cricut. I think I merged and welded two different clouds together to get a nice backdrop for my title and hand drew the accents at the top. The banner down the side was from a scrap and of course, I journaled around one of the circles. I used washi tape to attach the picture to the banner.

Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend. We plan to get some things done and still enjoy some down time.

Honokowai Beach Park - Two Page Maui Layout

This was our first night in Maui. We found this beach to watch the sunset! I'm sure there is not a bad place to watch a Maui sunset, but this was one of our favorites!!

It was a beautiful evening. We watched some local children playing in the surf and running along the beach. We just soaked up all the beauty and snapped some great pictures.

I used plain card stock for the background (pretty unusual for me) and matted all the photos in white for definition. The pennants were scraps from my stash, as well as the journaling card. I cut it down quite a bit to make it fit and matted it on yet another scrap that matched the flowers punched with my SU 5 petal flower punch and layered with a smaller flower from another SU punch. I cut into the center of the smaller flowers and then topped with a small wood button.
It was such a memorable evening and so relaxing!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Lots more Hawaii layouts to share!!

Birthday Boy - One Page Masculine Birthday Layout

The sun is shining in NE Indiana today and I am grateful! I'm still working from home, but I'm loving the sunshine streaming in the window. I even took a little drive just to soak it in through the sunroof. I hope you are enjoying a beautiful day.

Speaking of sunshine 🌞...this man lights up my world in so many ways. He is my rock and my forever love. I don't know what I'd do without him.

I believe all of the paper used is Graphic 45. I love mixing all of the patterns here! It was fun to put together all of the elements for this page. I rarely pull out my mini alpha stickers, but sometimes they are the perfect touch. The sentiment stickers were from another set of paper, but I think they worked well with the style and colors.

Hope you enjoy your day!! Thanks for stopping by!

"Birthday Girl" - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Wow! I don't know how time is flying so fast! Indiana is on a Stay at Home order and I've been working my full time job from home for over a month now. We don't go out unless necessary to pick up supplies, occasional fast food pickup, or even more rare drive to work to handle something I can't do at home.

Thankfully, I do love being in my home. But, I am ready for things to start moving towards "normal" again!! I know I'm not alone on that feeling. I miss my family, friends and coworkers.

We're all tired of hearing and reading about the virus, so I will move on to something more fun like sharing a scrapbook page! Today, I have another birthday page. This is my youngest daughter-in-love. She's a keeper and we are proud to have her in our family!
She's not a huge fan of being in the spotlight, but she puts up my need to celebrate all things birthday!! I believe this paper is from Glitz design, including the green strip with black owns. I believe that was the edge of the 12x12 paper. I love owls!!
Every time I see pictures taken in our Dining Room, I really want to get our ship lap project started. The wall is not very flattering to those sitting in front of it. Although, when this was taken, it probably had more to do with my old cell phone camera. In spite of the dreary background, she is a beauty and we so enjoy having her in our family.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope your week is starting out great!

Happy Birthday - One Page Scrapbook Layout

This is our beautiful daughter-in-love on her birthday last year. We are so very happy to have her as part of our family. Our sons have both done well choosing their forever love.
She is such a great wife to my son, Momma to our grandkids, daughter, daughter-in-love,  friend and many other roles that she wears so well. She is much stronger than she thinks she is and takes each new day in stride! She is primarily a Stay At Home Mom and I have so much respect for that role. She is adored by her family...and all of us!

Today is her special day and I hope it is the BEST year yet for her!!

One Big Happy Family - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Here's another layout from our Easter celebration in 2018. This was our first Easter at our new house. We decided to take some family pics in front of the fireplace.
I didn't use your typical pastel Easter colors for this layout, but instead used some family-themed paper which really seemed to fit the pictures. Again, the mixing of the patterns is something I adore.
We are so blessed to have our grown kids and grandchildren living in the same town within 20 minutes of our home. I wish our parents had been that close when our kids were young, but we are the ones who moved from our hometown in Michigan to Indiana as a young couple. We had no idea what that would mean once we started our family!  It was a 3 hour trip that we made hundreds of times over the years, and our parents did too. We made it work, even though it had it's hardships.
All of that to say, we are so grateful for our family. They mean the world to us!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a great week!!

Celebrate - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

Here is the last page of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding album! I've been sharing these pages for several months now and we've finally come to the end. :)

They had so many great pictures during the reception, it was really hard to choose just enough for a two page layout! I trimmed a few of them down to 4x4 in order to pack a few more in. Wallet size pics are also a good choice for a page like this with so many awesome pictures to choose from. You will notice I mixed color pictures with black and white throughout this album.
Oh to be this young again!! 😍 They had such a great time celebrating. My son was part of an a Capella group at Ball State and many of them were at the wedding. I kept waiting for them to all break out in song for us, but the upper right picture is the closest they came. Look at all that hair!!
The paper here is a metallic wood grain! It's hard to see it in these photographs, but it is so pretty! One of those papers you almost hate to use (or is that just me??)!
I cut some banners to use down the center of the project to highlight the picture of them dancing together and added a little bit of twine around the banners for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out this wedding album. If you'd like to see all of the layouts for this wedding album in one place, you can find them on Pinterest: My Scrapbook Pages - Wedding

Stay safe and enjoy your additional time with family during the days and weeks ahead!

Family is Forever - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

The lighting outside of the chapel after the ceremony was so amazing. There were some clouds starting to roll in, but it couldn't have been better for the outdoor family pictures.
I kept the layout simple, matting the photos in the same color as the bridesmaids' dresses. The pretty floral was perfect to add a little pizzazz and balance the page, along with the owl embellishment that came with the paper.  I am so happy that my DIL's sweet Grandma was able to be there for the wedding and for this precious photo. Sadly, she has now passed on, but this page will help keep her memory alive.
Are you lovin' this title? I thought it was perfect for the page. I sized it in Design Space to fit the corner of my page and cut it with my Cricut in colors to match the wedding party. I also used my Cricut to write out the quote.
Oh my word, I love owls so much! I know the craze is pretty much over, but I don't care.😍
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a very crafty and productive week!
