Always Take the Scenic Route - Two Page Scrapbook Travel Layout

Hope you aren't tired of seeing my Wyoming scrapbook layouts. I only have a few more, and then I'll move on. Promise!

Here's a fun layout of the route north of Yellowstone Park. Again, the scenery is amazing. So many beautiful photo ops. We stopped every 5 minutes to take pictures.

Echo Park's "Let's Go Anywhere" paper was fun to use with these pictures. I was unsure of all the black and white pattern, but actually love how it turned out. I used the DTC Shiplap font for the journaling, cut some whimsical pines, and a fun wood road sign (I have no idea what line it's from). I loved mixing these two patterned paper and lining it with the black and white woodgrain washi tape.

Hope you ae having a great week!!

Mammoth Hot Springs - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

I hope you've noticed that I'm on a roll of posting regularly. Hopefully, I didn't just jinx myself.

Today, I'm sharing another layout from our Yellowstone trip from a few years back. This is still one of my favorite destinations so far.

We travelled north in Yellowstone National Park to Mammoth, Wyoming to see the Mammoth Hot Springs and saw the Continental Divide along the way.

Since I failed to journal on my page, 😲 Mammoth Hot Springs is a large complex of hot springs on a hill of travertine adjacent to Fort Yellowstone. It was created over thousands of years as hot water from the spring cooled and deposited calcium carbonate. You can walk along the boardwalk and see all of the interesting formations.
The Close to My Heart cardstock and American Crafts "Wolf Pack" paper were a great combo for this layout along with some woodgrain washi tape. I'm not sure where the "Wander" embellishment came from but I think it was a different pack of designer paper. I cut some cool evergreens for embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my Yellowstone layouts. Enjoy your weekend!

Jenny Lake - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Sorry that I've been MIA for several weeks. I'm fine! Just got out of the habit of posting for awhile.

Here's a travel layout from September 2020 during our visit to the Cascade Canyon in the heart of the Teton Range in Wyoming. Jenny Lake was the most beautiful inland lake we have seen to date! With beautiful pines framing it all around and the majestic Teton mountains as it's back drop, it's absolutely breathtaking! You need to go see the entire area, if you haven't yet. I can't imagine how much more beautiful it would have been had we not had some of the residual smoke blowing in from the California wildfires.
This is one of those destinations where the pictures will always fall short of the incredible beauty you experience in person.
I used a dark olive green shade of textured Recollections cardstock as a backdrop to a fun blue and green plaid from Close to My Heart's Timber Collection. Scotch brand green wood grain decorative tape makes a nice transition around the edges of the plaid. The Aurora travel stamp set, also from CTMH, came through for the perfect embellishment. This is one of my favorite stamp sets so far for travel layouts.

I designed the title myself from 3 different fonts in Design Space. I usually try to connect the words and letters where I can so that I don't have to line up a bunch of individual letters. I just prefer the way it looks to design my own and it's fun for me. The journaling is also written out with my Cricut and designed to fit in the space available.

Hope you enjoy this layout! My favorite part is the plaid paper and the color combo. I like how it brings out the natural beauty of the photos.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Angry Pepper - One Page Layout

We ate at the Angry Pepper while we were in Florida. What a fun place! We really enjoyed the food and the nostalgic decor.

This is my wonderful husband, enjoying his food. He's the best!! Always up for an adventure with me.
The paper is again part from a vintage stack from Crate Paper "the Pier". The banner at the top uses tags and tickets from Recollections and the red button from Jillibean. I tied a little red, white, and blue baker's twine in one of the Kraft tags where I journaled.

Just a simple layout, featuring some great memories with my husband while we were off on our Florida adventure. Thanks for stopping by. One more Florida beach layout to come!

Fresh Christmas Tree - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and New Years celebration! I hope you were able to have your family/friends together and just savor your time together. It's been awhile since posting. Time to get back into that!!

My parents are gone now, and it's just me and my brother! We try to make an effort to get together a few times each year, even though we really aren't close. He lives in Michigan and I'm in NE Indiana. We were at his home last weekend for a couple of hours. but these pictures are from when he visited us for the weekend a few years ago after Christmas.

Neither of us are very photogenic here, but nonetheless it is a memory of us together!!
Pretty simple layout. I matted all of the photos on white to help them pop off the darker patterned paper. The title is larger since I didn't have a bunch of photos to use. I used Cricut Design Studio for the images.
Washi tape placed vertically between the papers, a few tags and journaling, plus a little bit of twine and DONE!

Hope you enjoy the after Christmas inspiration! Have a blessed week.

Eat This - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout

Here's a little two page Hawaii inspiration for you. This is my second to last layout to share from my completed Hawaii album of our trip in 2019.

Hungry? You might be after checking out my layout.

I must admit this is the first time making a burger on my Cricut. Right down to the sesame seeds on the bun. Pretty cute, but I wish I could eat it. Right now...

I created my title to look like the menu. Did you notice that?
The journaling was written with my Cricut. I should really do this with every layout, because it is so much more legible than my writing...But...it takes so much longer to get it the way I want it on the Cricut and sometimes, I just want to get the layout done.
The woodgrain tape helps ground the page. I added a cute orange button with an arrow and few little pennants made from scraps to accentuate the photo of us.
Hope you are inspired by the design! Now...go get yourself a good burger!!!

Have a great weekend and make sure to stop by for my very last 2019 Hawaii trip layout. I promise it won't be food. It will be a lovely sunset layout from our lanai.

"Birthday Girl" - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Wow! I don't know how time is flying so fast! Indiana is on a Stay at Home order and I've been working my full time job from home for over a month now. We don't go out unless necessary to pick up supplies, occasional fast food pickup, or even more rare drive to work to handle something I can't do at home.

Thankfully, I do love being in my home. But, I am ready for things to start moving towards "normal" again!! I know I'm not alone on that feeling. I miss my family, friends and coworkers.

We're all tired of hearing and reading about the virus, so I will move on to something more fun like sharing a scrapbook page! Today, I have another birthday page. This is my youngest daughter-in-love. She's a keeper and we are proud to have her in our family!
She's not a huge fan of being in the spotlight, but she puts up my need to celebrate all things birthday!! I believe this paper is from Glitz design, including the green strip with black owns. I believe that was the edge of the 12x12 paper. I love owls!!
Every time I see pictures taken in our Dining Room, I really want to get our ship lap project started. The wall is not very flattering to those sitting in front of it. Although, when this was taken, it probably had more to do with my old cell phone camera. In spite of the dreary background, she is a beauty and we so enjoy having her in our family.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope your week is starting out great!

Garter Toss - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Pages

How is everybody doing out there? How are you handling the social distancing and possible isolation that is happening in our country right now? While it can be a very unsettling time, I'm choosing to stay positive and trying to make the most of it. We are working from home, which is awesome, but the reason behind it does make me sad. Praying our nation will get through this together and that we will stand united, taking care of each other along the way.

On a more joyous note, I'm sharing another two page wedding layout from my son and DIL's wedding a few years back. I was so grateful to be able to put a wedding album together for them.
Sorry for the weird variation in color on the photographs of these layouts. The sun must have been coming in the window where I was shooting these in a way that I didn't notice until now.  I love the ease of using washi tape! I used 2 different woodgrains along with a floral to ground the photos on this page.
As you can see, my son and the boys had a great time together! Crazy kids enjoying their big day. They will look back on their wedding day with such great memories!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your extra time at home means a little more craft time for you. I'm hoping I can be a little more productive this week myself. Blessings  and safety to all of you!!
Remember to look in on your neighbors and take good care of each other.
