Always Take the Scenic Route - Two Page Scrapbook Travel Layout

Hope you aren't tired of seeing my Wyoming scrapbook layouts. I only have a few more, and then I'll move on. Promise!

Here's a fun layout of the route north of Yellowstone Park. Again, the scenery is amazing. So many beautiful photo ops. We stopped every 5 minutes to take pictures.

Echo Park's "Let's Go Anywhere" paper was fun to use with these pictures. I was unsure of all the black and white pattern, but actually love how it turned out. I used the DTC Shiplap font for the journaling, cut some whimsical pines, and a fun wood road sign (I have no idea what line it's from). I loved mixing these two patterned paper and lining it with the black and white woodgrain washi tape.

Hope you ae having a great week!!

Enjoy the Ride - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Hello again. Here's another layout from our visit to the Grand Tetons area in Wyoming.

For my birthday, we rented bikes for a day! So much fun. I wanted to try out an electric bike. Oh my word...GAME CHANGER! Our path was flat, so I didn't really need it, but it was the perfect time to try something new.

We rode 6 miles to a cute french cafe. We ordered lunch, and sat and enjoyed our coffee in the sunshine. I forgot to even turn on the motor until the way back! Mark was a little sad as I left him in the dust behind me. I've been trying to find a way to justify an electric bike at home since this was so fun. They are pretty expensive, and my current manual pedal bike is new and I love it so much. Maybe some day I'll upgrade to electric. We do have some smaller hills and inclines near our home.
The paper, stickers and ephemera are from the lovely Echo Park's "Good Day Sunshine" collection. Pretty appropriate name, in my opinion. Especially for this particular layout! It was such a great day!!
I added Paper Studio washi tape above the Cricut journaling. The Enjoy the Ride title is also from Design Space. I popped up the center for definition.
Thanks for stopping by! I have so many more travel layouts to share.

Let the Sun Shine - One Page Florida Scrapbook Layout

One page layouts are unusual for me, but I did several from our short time in Florida for a Memorial Service for my Aunt and Uncle in 2021. These photos highlight our view and hotel surroundings.

It's a great hotel, and I hope we will go back again some day. Maybe we'll actually be able to enjoy the pool. It was a little brisk for that this time around. So beautiful to look at, though. We enjoyed watching the pelicans and the ducks hanging out around the little marina.
The paper is from an older stack by Crate Paper called "the Pier". It has a bit of a distressed, vintage vibe along with Echo Park's "Good Day" yellow polka dot. The green chevron washi from Queen & Co made a nice border, slightly overlapping the photos. I cut a few hearts with my Cricut and folded them in half for a little more texture and definition, and tucked the journaling card at an angle under one of the photos.

Thanks for stopping by! I think I have two more one pagers to share with you soon from our whirlwind trip to Florida.

Easter Eggs - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Happy Easter Sunday to you all. Today I'm sharing another Easter layout from 2019.

This title has quite a few layers, but it was really fun to do! I typically pick out a bunch of scrap paper from my stash for this type of thing. I love the way it turned out.
I used a nice mix of springy patterned paper to go vertically across my pages from Echo Park "Sweet Girl" line including the journaling card.
I love coloring eggs with the grandkids. I love to see their creativity and their excitement. Even the big kids still seem to enjoy it. I also love eating the eggs!!
The small flowers on the right were cut with my Cricut and topped with StampinUp buttons.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. We are celebrating Christ's resurrection from the dead! Such HOPE and LOVE that he offers to us if we only accept his incredible gift of salvation!!

Come back next week when I will be sharing the final layouts from my Hawaii album.

Easter Basket - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Easter comes early this year? What a celebration it will be.

Thought I should break from my Hawaii album in order to share a few Easter layouts with you. This one features my most favorite little people. 😍 How can these cuties be two years older already?

I used several different spring patterned papers and various stickers from Echo Park "Sweet Girl".
The birds and title were cut with my Cricut and placed around the page.
I love to mix patterned papers. Do you like the look? This layout was super simple and probably not one of my favorite, to be honest. Mostly because I'm not a huge fan of stickers since I got my Cricut. However, they do make for a quick page where everything matches and falls into a theme. So I use them on occasion and typically mix them in with cut images of my own.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!

One Page Layout - Happy Birthday Gramma

Birthdays are so much fun! Grandchildren definitely make getting old so much more worthwhile. Here's one of my favorite little one-page layouts from my birthday a few years back.

This vintage paper is from Echo Park "This & That" along with all of the stickers and die cuts. I felt it was pretty appropriate (given my age...lol). The title font is from Cricut's Jubilee "stilts" and the lovely pink brackets are cut with Cricut's Art Philosophy cartridge.

I apologize the pictures are a bit smaller than I normally post. Blogger is being dumb and not letting me change them to a large size. Not sure what is going on...but it looks like I need to live with it for now.

Hope your week is starting off well. Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Two Page Layout - "Craft On"

Do any of you love to go away for an entire weekend and scrapbook with your friends? I am a lucky girl and get do this 3 times a year!! Woot! My husband is such a sweetheart and doesn't mind too much when I take off for a weekend of scrapbooking with friends.

The River Retreat House, Perrysville, Indiana, is one of my favorite scrapbooking destinations!! A beautiful old house to relax and enjoy time away with friends. It's totally worth the drive.
So here is my scrapbook page about my scrapbooking weekend. =)
The paper and embellishments are Echo Park's "This & That" collection.
The title is from Cricut's Quarter Note cartridge. Here's a close up of the cute, itty bitty banner. The baker's twine is strung between two brads with a key.
If you ever want a great weekend or time away with friends be sure to check out the River Retreat House. It's a beautiful, relaxing destination.

Two Double Layouts - "Country Girl" and "Good Times"

Birthday celebrations are the best!! My sons share the same birth date in August, so we almost always find a way to celebrate the day as a family.
This year, we made the short trip to Muncie to celebrate on Jacob's turf at Ball State. Cammack Station is one of the local hamburger joints with a vintage vibe and yummy food. There were a bunch of tractors on display across the street, so we took our turn posing on them and letting Scarlet turn the steering wheel.
We got some great shots, even though she wasn't especially smiley that night. She's so adorable with or without the smile. The patterned paper and chipboard embellishments are Echo Park's "This & That". The banner is cut with Art Philosophy and SU's bitty bracket punch.
These pictures bring back so many memories from the boys' birthday last year. It's always a hoot with this family!
These pictures were taken inside the restaurant. The patterned paper from SU fit the vibrant vintage theme of the restaurant perfectly. The title is cut with Cricut's "Paislee" with an orange block out shadow.
The Studio Calico wood grain circle banner just happened to be lurking in my stash. I love it when that happens. I cut the bracket map with Art Philosophy and sliced it in half to use on each side of the collage of photos. The Chevrons were punched out and faux stitched with a fine marker.
I hope your week is blessed and filled with fun family times.

Two page layouts - "Sleepy Head" and "Bundle of Joy"

Hello scrappy friends! I have just enough time for a quick post and today, it's two for the price of one because it's been awhile.

First up is "Sleepy Head". This layout was really out of the box for me. I fell in love with the doodle-look paper and then I had a little bit of trouble trying to figure out how to make it work. In the end, I was happy with it.

Left side:  Most of these doodles were all on the paper. How fun!!I had some leftover glitter tulle for rolling up some fun flowers. They are a little thicker than what I normally put on a page, but super cute.

Right side: I was not in love with this page until I used the texture folder on the red cardstock. That made all the diference. I freehanded some clouds to match the doodled clouds on the opposite page. The pink and red on one page was a bit of a challenge for me...but now I am pleased with it.
Here's a closeup of the tulle button flowers. I used clear gemstones, but colored them with sharpies for more of an impact.
Here are the two sides together. My grandbaby is such a DOLL!! We sure are enjoying her.

Next up...Bundle of Joy. This layout is from when she was fresh out of the NICU. I believe it was our first visit to their house after they brought her home....so fresh and sweet!!

Left:  Most everything on this page is from the Bundle of Joy paper pack (Echo Park). I added the Tim Holtz washi tape and the lace at the top. These are my two boys lovin' on Scarlet....Proud papa Joel is in the upper right and lower left. Uncle Jacob sure does love her too. =)

Right:  More borders and embellishments from the Bundle of Joy pack. I love these pictures of my son and daugher-in-law standing on the front porch of their home with their new and precious bundle of joy. They were so happy to bring her home!!! It brings tears to my eyes just remembering all of the emotion.

Here are the two sides together.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Have a great weekend!
