Drive by Safari - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

During May 2020, when Covid was still pushing hard, a local organization created a drive by Safari. We grabbed the grands and took a little cruise through the parking lot at all of the farm animals, along with a few more exotic creatures.

There wasn't a lot to look at, but it was still fun to get out with the kids and just do something! We were not allowed to get out of the car. It seems a little silly now since everything was outside with lots of ventilation, but we obeyed the rules.

I used an older pack of patterned paper for the background and found some coordinating strips of paper in my scrap folder. The flower embellies are newer to my stash but coordinated perfectly. I could have gone with a more kiddy type zoo paper, but I just wasn't feeling that for this layout.
The kids had fun and we stopped for breakfast at one of our local diners that was still open.
I'm loving the purple safari title and the hat that I cut with my Cricut. I topped it with a cute little natural button from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by my layout! Have a crafty week!

Explore - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Today I'm sharing another layout from the sunflower field photo shoot a few years ago. This one features my sweet, and super smart grandson! This little man is such a blessing!

Just look at him! What a little stinker. They were both enjoying all the attention.

This is one for his album. He enjoys looking at his book almost as much as his Sissy. I really need to add to it more often!! Slacker Grandma.

The paper, journaling card and zip strip are from Close to My Heart "Dream Big" collection. I cut the title with my Cricut. I added some little banners and woodgrain pieces from my scraps and the buttons and markers are StampinUp! I added a little bit of narrow sunflower washi tape to attach the journaling card on the side.

This is a really simple layout, but I absolutely love it, mainly because my favorite people are gracing the pages with smiles.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Enjoy this amazing fall weather!

Two Page Layout - "Grandparents Day"

This little girly is our joy and sunshine.😻 Love that she's able to go to a wonderful Christian school where she has every opportunity to excel in anything that she wants to do, while learning about Christ. She has grown and learned so much in the last couple years...It's quite amazing to watch.
It's always worth taking time off work for her daytime school activities....A beautiful photo-op with my favorite girl, seeing her face light up as she spots us in the crowd, and celebrating her accomplishments in every way possible!

Her class played the bells and they did so great! When she was in pre-school, she wasn't very excited about performing, but she seems to be into it now and we are so blessed to be so close and able to attend everything that she has going on at school. We're hoping she'll be a star volleyball player like her Mama! This Grandma played too back in the day! But, she will choose her own activities and we'll be excited to support her in any way that we can...Unless it's baseball, then I'll have to pray for more patience.
You probably recognize the papers from Graphic 45. They were actually given to me by a fellow scrapper who is always generous with her srapping supplies. Thank you, Karen!

Hoping you are feeling thankful and blessed! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Little Lady" and "Little Man"

I just returned from a weekend scrapbook retreat! I got quite a bit done, and I can't wait to show you them! I brought home a cruddy cold with me. Mucinex, Cold Eeze and Kleenex are my besties right now.

Before I share my newer layouts, I still have more layouts from our fall photo shoot (2015) to share with you. This two pager features my two grandbabies! They're the cutest in all the land...
You know me...I love to mix up patterned paper, and this layout is no different. I am happy with how it turned out. Too crazy for you?
Couldn't resist adding the deer paperclip. How cute is this?

two page scrapbook layout - "Celebrate Love"

Here's a fun layout from the night my son and daughter-in-love got engaged. They're pretty cute!!!
My son bought them a photo shoot for Christmas, and then planned out the entire proposal with the photographer. We weren't a part of all of that, but we met them later for dinner with both families.
These two make a great pair and we're so excited that they found each other!
It's impossible to see the sheen here, but I used Wink of Stella on the heart banner to set it off. The photo just made it look muddy.
I probably should have added another wallet size photo to the right, or some additional journaling. I'm trying to make peace with the white space...lol.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I think I have some layouts from the actual photo shoot. I'm not sure I've photographed them yet, but I'll be sharing them here at some point.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Never Grow Up"

Today, I'm sharing some adorable pics of my sweet little grandson! He's four now, but he was two in these pictures. Oh my word...isn't he the cutest thing ever?? You know he is!
He's all boy and not really into posing for pictures, if you know what I mean. He' much rather be exploring, running, and throwing sticks, rocks, etc.
I love how this mix of papers create a young masculine look, but also keeps the focus on the cute pics! Do you like to mix color photos with black & whites? It took me awhile to try it, but now I mix them up often with professional type portraits.
I have more birthday layouts to share, so stop back soon!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout --Happy Birthday layout

These two handsome man boys of mine share a birthday...TODAY! How cool is it that they get to share their day? Well it depends on who you ask. I love it. They used to think it was pretty lame, but now they seem to enjoy the uniqueness of sharing a birthday with a sibling.
Apparently I forgot to put the year on here, but I think it was August 22 of 2016.
I think it turned out pretty cute. the "locals only" embellishment is a rub on. I can't tell you the last time I've used one, but I like how it looks on this grungy page.
I love these boys!! Today you turn 28 and 26!! How is this even possible. You're making me feel old!! Dad and I couldn't be any more proud of you. Can't wait to scrap the pics from today.

Three California Dreamin' Scrapbook Layouts

Here's a few layouts from our 2015 trip to California. This was a work trip, but we managed to have some fun at the same time.
This was our beautiful hotel. Very comfortable! Couldn't ask for anything else, except to take all the sunshine back home to Indiana.
Don't you love this tropical floral paper? The colors are amazing.

Here's a layout showing off the outside grounds for our hotel.
They had a walkway over the Pacific Coast Highway which took you right down tot he beach.
I think it's time for another CA trip. You can't really beat the weather and the views.

Here's another layout of the hotel grounds. Loved our stay there. I spent much of the time a little stressed out due to being the meeting planner, but what a place to be stressed!
The pool, fountains, and flowers were gorgeous!
I wish I'd had a little more time to sit on the beach, but since I was there to work, I can't complain.

Thanks again for stopping by my blog. See you soon!

Two Page Layout - Birthday layouts!

Hello! It's been a very long time since I've posted. Since my last post, my Mom passed away, my son got married and we gained a beautiful daughter, we sold our home and moved into a brand new home. It's been kind of a blur since then! Hope you  are doing well and enjoying a little less "crazy" in your life.

I have so many layouts to share, and I'm starting with some birthdays.

This is my adorable grandson, who is now 4! I'm so far behind on posting my layouts. I love this boy paper, and especially the bright solid green. Color is my inspiration!
He has the best smile and basically never stops going!

And another layout of one of my sweet friends who was turning 50 at the time! Life marches on!
We've been friends for 30 years now and have had a ball moving through life together.
It was actually a surprise party that her husband planned for her with a little bit of help from her friends. I was blessed to help as she does so much for me and my family!
Thanks for not giving up on me ever posting again...LOL! I hope to be back on a more regular basis now. Did I mention my new home has a craft room just for little 'ole me? I'm so excited and can't wait to get it all set up!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Zoo Day - Fun Day"

Here's another zoo layout from a few years back. Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
My sweet Scarlet tickling the orangutan's chin. She's so adorable. It was a fun way to spend time as a family before Jacob (and girlfriend Katie) went back to college.

We have a great zoo in Fort Wayne. It ranks up there as one of the best children's zoos in the country. #FWproud

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Seaside Stop"

I think this is the last layout I have to share of our California trip in June, 2015. It was a fabulous trip!! We're heading back for a business trip next week, but there won't be much time for sight-seeing, so I probably won't take very many pictures.
I adore this paper from We R Memory Keepers. The California journaling tag is from Echo Park wrapped with Karen Foster Scrappers floss. The burlap flowers are Paper Studio.
I punched several different size mini flowers with my StampinUp punches and layered them up to create different flowers. The title font is called "Seaside".
Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out the last of my California layouts. Have a lovely day. The sun is finally shining here in NE Indiana, and I'm loving the warmth!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Pier House"

Here's a layout of the beautiful hotel where we stayed in Key West! It was an amazing room and property. We really weren't ready to come home after being spoiled!!
This pretty paper is from Close to My Heart's (My Reflections) "Skylark". The letter stickers on the subtitle are from October Afternoon. Many of the embellishments were printed right on the paper, so I simply added a few strips of paper, some burlap flowers with button centers, and the subtitle. Easey Peasey!
If you ever need a place to stay in Key West, you'll have to check out the Pier House. They're right on the water. Even though we didn't have a water view from our room we had the most beautiful balcony. We spent a lot of time out there with our coffee in the morning, and playing cards together at night.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Hope 2017 is off to a great start for you.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Plaid Tidings"

Last Christmas (2015), we were able to get together with the entire Leonhardt extended family at Mark's sister's home. Her two boys were both there, one of which came from Texas with his wife and two little boys! We had great fun together!!

We'd planned in advance to try to take a giant family photo of all of us together, not knowing when we'd all be togehter again. LOL! We all brought a plaid flannel shirt for the occasion! What a hoot!! The kids don't always cooperate, but that's no big deal.
We invited Santa and Mrs. Claus, who told us the Christmas story from the Bible. We also celebrated family birthdays that we'd missed being together for. The infamous group photo is below under the title. All except my grandson, Sawyer, were pretty excited about the picture, hence the empty chair and him crying in his smiling Mom's lap. I love it! She's learning to roll with the punches and is such an awesome Mom to our grandchildren. as you can see the picture under the star, he was pretty happy to sit in Santa's lap.
We had a great time together! I hope that we can all be together again soon!!
The paper is again Heidi Swapp. I love the black and white bakers twine tied around both pages. I managed to get 9 pictures on here and tell the whole story. I still had room for some cute house and tree embellies. The funniest thing is that I came up with the title for my page way back when we decided to wear the plaid shirts, long before we were even together! I love it when that happens.
Merry Christmas to you and your families!!! Jesus is still the reason for the season! Take time to remember the greatest gift we've been given. Christmas blessings to all of you!
