Angry Pepper - One Page Layout

We ate at the Angry Pepper while we were in Florida. What a fun place! We really enjoyed the food and the nostalgic decor.

This is my wonderful husband, enjoying his food. He's the best!! Always up for an adventure with me.
The paper is again part from a vintage stack from Crate Paper "the Pier". The banner at the top uses tags and tickets from Recollections and the red button from Jillibean. I tied a little red, white, and blue baker's twine in one of the Kraft tags where I journaled.

Just a simple layout, featuring some great memories with my husband while we were off on our Florida adventure. Thanks for stopping by. One more Florida beach layout to come!

Sunny Days - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Sunny days in Michigan are my favorite!! The lake and sky are so beautiful. We wish we could afford to have a place up there and rent it out part of the time. I mean why not? They make it look so doable on HGTV!! Unfortunately, it always take some money to make some money.

These photos were taken at a lakeside park in Traverse City.

I love all of the sunny colors on this layout. The chevron patterned paper started the color party, with the yellow photo matts running a close second. Cricut journaling is so much more legible than my own handwriting. I wish that weren't the case, but it is very true.

As I look back at this layout, I think of more that I might have added and possibly some pops of black, but I'm still proud of it and hope you are inspired in some way by it.

Have a lovely week!

Hippity Hop - Two Page Easter Scrapbook Layout

Happy Easter to all of you! What a glorious day of celebration! I missed our church family, but celebrated "in spirit" participating in the live stream service.

I have another Easter layout to share with you today! These pictures feature our grand babies with their Easter baskets in 2018.
I was so giddy when I found the image of the chocolate bunny with a bite taken out of his ear! I had to use it on this page. Isn't it cute??
These two are just the cutest! I can't believe how much they've grown and changed over the past two years. They are the sweetest! I think the paper choices, while bold, are a little more toned down than the previous post! The pink strip of paper across the middle helps to calm it down, along with the muted vintage floral paper along the bottom. I added real lace trim as an accent under the pictures. The StampinUp! mini flower punch and mini pink brads for the WIN. I scattered these across the page to highlight the pictures.
I may post a few more Easter pages this week, because I still have several I haven't shared.

I pray that your resurrection day is blessed beyond measure! Thanks for stopping by today.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Jordan River"

Here's another Israel layout! My husband decided to be baptized in the Jordan River with many of our group. It was an amazing experience for everybody.
One of our agents is from Israel, and his family still lives there. His Dad is a Pastor and was happy to do the honors of baptizing our group!! You may wonder why I didn't get baptized. I was one of the hosts/planners of the trip, so I felt like I needed to be helping out. Probably a lame excuse! Honestly, I was also a bit afraid of the muddy water, and doing it in front of a group of my peers.
My husband loved the experience! We were both baptized in our teen years, but this was meant to be a symbolic experience, being baptized at close to the very spot where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.
16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” - Matthew 3: 16-17

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Big Kids"

Watching your kids grow up and become awesome adults is a major blessing! We snapped these photos of our sons and their wives enjoying Christmas last year.
Our grands were already done opening and were playing with their gifts. Now it was time for the big kids to enjoy theirs.
These two boys are such a delight to us. We are so proud of who they have become and LOVE spending time with them just getting caught up on their week. They both live nearby and we can see each other often. That, alone, is a blessing!
I used super simple embellishments on this page. The gifts are simply rectangles with bakers twine tied around them and the poinsettias were made with StampinUp's 5 petal flower punch, doubled up with wood buttons in the center. For quick leaves, I used the same 5 petal flower punch with green paper and cut into multiple leaves and tucked them under each flower.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! More Christmas layouts to come!

two page scrapbook layout - "Celebrate Love"

Here's a fun layout from the night my son and daughter-in-love got engaged. They're pretty cute!!!
My son bought them a photo shoot for Christmas, and then planned out the entire proposal with the photographer. We weren't a part of all of that, but we met them later for dinner with both families.
These two make a great pair and we're so excited that they found each other!
It's impossible to see the sheen here, but I used Wink of Stella on the heart banner to set it off. The photo just made it look muddy.
I probably should have added another wallet size photo to the right, or some additional journaling. I'm trying to make peace with the white space...lol.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I think I have some layouts from the actual photo shoot. I'm not sure I've photographed them yet, but I'll be sharing them here at some point.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Priceless"

I'm taking a little break from the California Dreamin layouts to show off our adorable grandbabies. :) These two are too much fun! They keep us young! We love them so much.
We are so grateful to be near both of our kids and our grandkids! What a blessing to be part of their every day lives. These photos were taken during one of the many times where we watched them for awhile to give their Mom and Dad a well deserved date night. Not sure how we got started with playing in the kitchen sink water, but that was great fun! I remember my youngest loving to do this too.
Sawyer was getting into the action too, splashing around like his sister.
What great memories from that day. We tried out the tricycle and took a walk around the block with the wagon. It was only March, so it was still a little chilly.
I didn't write down the supplies, but I know the red chevron is washi tape and the cute little flowers are punched with SU triple flower punch. The red banner strip was folded by hand in a random fashion to give it some extra texture. The journaling tag is Art Philosophy and the title die cut is Graphically Speaking (priceless).

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. The next post will be our first stop on the Pacific Coat Hwy (Big Sur) at Carmel by the Sea. See you soon!

Two Page Layout - Count Your Blessings and

Hello! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! How is it even December, anyway? The last few months have completely slipped away from me.

Last year, our immediate family celebrated Thanksgiving at our house. We all have so much to be thankful for. Some years are definitely tougher than others. I lost my Dad last year and it was my first Thanksgiving without him, but I try to remind myself that there are so many who would be ecstatic to have anything close to what I would call a tough year. We have a beautiful, loving family and not only do we get along, but we have fun together! I love them all so much!

Here's my layout from Thanksgiving 2014.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Stay warm!
