Sunny Days - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Sunny days in Michigan are my favorite!! The lake and sky are so beautiful. We wish we could afford to have a place up there and rent it out part of the time. I mean why not? They make it look so doable on HGTV!! Unfortunately, it always take some money to make some money.

These photos were taken at a lakeside park in Traverse City.

I love all of the sunny colors on this layout. The chevron patterned paper started the color party, with the yellow photo matts running a close second. Cricut journaling is so much more legible than my own handwriting. I wish that weren't the case, but it is very true.

As I look back at this layout, I think of more that I might have added and possibly some pops of black, but I'm still proud of it and hope you are inspired in some way by it.

Have a lovely week!

Waiting for Sunset - Two Page Lake Michigan scrapbook layout

Time for another Lake Michigan sunset? It's always time for a good sunset...no matter where you are when the sun says it's final goodbye for the evening. These are great memories from a family trip we took a few years back.

The kids were clowning around in the sand as we waited for the magic to happen on the horizon. We were taking selfies together and enjoying each others' company.
Both patterned papers and journaling tags are from a stack of beachy paper from We R Memory Keepers. I added some miscellaneous flowers and a Heidi Swapp scalloped paper banner. Using a few wallets helps to work in more pictures.
Hope you are all enjoying your summer!! I haven't scrapped in awhile. I could use a little crafty time to ease my mind. How about you? Do you get much crafting done in the summer weeks?

Happy Place - Two Page Lake Michigan Layout

I was born and raised in the "Mitten State". My open hand serves as the perfect reference showing right where I grew up! Not everybody can do that. :) Even though we've lived in northeastern Indiana for nearly 35 years, we still love visiting Michigan almost yearly for a quick getaway.

These pictures were taken March 2019 at the pier in Ludington, MI. It was pretty chilly and windy, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the view as we stretched our legs. We were on our way home from the wedding of the youngest daughter of my oldest friend.

These aren't the greatest photos of me and my hubby either, but I remember the day and how enjoyable it was to just be spending time together in one of our favorite places.

Can you see how crazy the wind and the surf was in the picture above? These walkers shouldn't have been out on the pier. I'm thankful they weren't blown off or washed away!! We didn't go that far out!
I love spending time away with my man. I'm beyond blessed that the Lord brought us together.

This is a super simple layout with a thin white matting around each photo laid out in a symmetrical grid. I used a scrap piece of paper to ground the photos, and cut a few light gray wispy waves to embellish it. The title is cut with my Cricut. That's it...nothing fancy...just lots of great memories to remember and cherish!

Thanks for stopping y my blog today!
