Hot Shot - Two Page Travel Scrapbook layout
Here's another fun layout from our trip to see Old Faithful. There was a ton of people there and the traffic and parking was crazy, but totally worth fighting the crowd to see this great icon of Yellowstone National Park. Definitely one of those bucket list destinations!
If you follow me, you probably know that I like to have fun with titles and typically create my own layered designs. I found the words separately and picked them out of other Design Space images by using the contour feature. Then layered them and played with the size/scale to see what it would look like on my page. The paper is Photo Play "Old Faithful"...seems appropriate, right? I bought two or three sheets of this so I could use both sides. One side is the all over map of Yellowstone, and the other is the card embellishments. The Kraft flowers are Recollection brand. I even added a few to the left side to embellish the bunch of flowers that were printed on the map paper. The simple arrows are from Close to my Heart "Aurora". I was too chicken to stamp it right on my page, so I used a separate, matching sheet of cardstock. I don't love that look, but I didn't want to redo my page if I messed up. The extra wide map decorate tape is from Zaomo. I never heard of this brand, but I love it.

Fresh Christmas Tree - Two Page Scrapbook Layout
Hope you all had a pleasant Christmas and New Years celebration! I hope you were able to have your family/friends together and just savor your time together. It's been awhile since posting. Time to get back into that!!
My parents are gone now, and it's just me and my brother! We try to make an effort to get together a few times each year, even though we really aren't close. He lives in Michigan and I'm in NE Indiana. We were at his home last weekend for a couple of hours. but these pictures are from when he visited us for the weekend a few years ago after Christmas.
Neither of us are very photogenic here, but nonetheless it is a memory of us together!!Pretty simple layout. I matted all of the photos on white to help them pop off the darker patterned paper. The title is larger since I didn't have a bunch of photos to use. I used Cricut Design Studio for the images.
Washi tape placed vertically between the papers, a few tags and journaling, plus a little bit of twine and DONE!

This is Life - Two Page Scrapbook Layout
Vacations are the best! Who wouldn't wish to be on vacation all the time? Obviously, not a very realistic dream, but they tell me there is this thing called retirement which will be coming some time. The older we get, the more we look forward to enjoying each day to the fullest and not having a daily alarm and work schedule.
Here's a another sunny layout from our Lake Michigan long weekend getaway in September 2018.
Most of the paper is We R Memory Keepers. I had fun finding some Cricut images to add to the page. Probably could have added some more things, but the paper itself had a lot going on.What a beautiful day! Not a cloud in the sky, and that beach!! It was a little bit chilly, but who cares with a view like this!

Toes in the Sand - Two Page Family Beach Layout
Here's another layout from our extended family gathering in Holland, MI, 2018. The west coast of Michigan is one of our favorite places!! We can get up there in 3-5 hours depending how far north we go. It's beautiful any time of year. The beach town options are endless! The more I talk about it, I want to pack up and go right now, but we still need to work for a living. 😄
This layout features us hanging out with my husband's siblings and spouses. We have the best time together!!!!!! It feels like we never have enough time together, even if we are just sitting around chatting and catching up. We don't have to be some place beautiful or glamorous to enjoy being together!
We're old so we usually have to do several takes before we get a good group selfie, especially with the wind blowing. It makes it all the more fun and memorable! As I look at this page, there are a few things I would have done differently. I'm my own worst critic, but I have learned a few things in the last 4 years. My main regret is that the layout feels a bit unbalanced. I think another strip of paper under the pics on the right would help.
Hope you are all having a great week! I will be posting several more lake MI layouts so come back and see me soon!

Covered Bridge - Two Page Scrapbook Layout
Here's another layout of a fun day of one-on-one time with our one and only grandson. We had a lot of fun showing him some sights and just being together.
Yes, the paper has some flowers, but that is okay! I loved the colors of the leaves with the pictures. The rich red really jumps out at me. The little circle letter stickers are perfect for a quick sub-title telling more of the story. I know, without that, I would look at this layout and ask my self, "Where was this bridge"? I don't have a brain for remembering these types of details.

Cherish Every Sunset - Two Page Lake Michigan Scrapbook Layout
Happy Summer! I think everybody is ready to get out and GO!! Somewhere...Anywhere! These pictures remind me of the absolute beauty of our country. We'll be heading up to Lake Michigan next month, and I can't wait!! Until then, I will enjoy reliving these family memories from a few years back.
Holland, MI is one of our favorite Lake Michigan towns. We were amazed by the sunsets we saw during this trip. My husband captured this sunburst picture as we were making our way into the tunnel at Tunnel Park just as the sun was going down.

Aloha from the Lanai - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout
Here is the very last layout from our 2019 Hawaii trip. I've loved reliving the memories from this trip as I've been sharing it with all of you. Given the fact we just got a few inches of snow, these pictures are a welcome treat. I sure hope this is our very last snow of the season here in northeast Indiana!! I'd like to be done with it until December 24!
What better way to celebrate my last share from the album than by sharing our final sunset from this fabulous trip.
If you have been following my blog for very long, you already know how much I love sunsets! I try to watch it every night, if I can! Our new home has a west facing view at the back of the house, and I love watching it sink below the horizon as often as possible. But how grand watching it set from our lanai in Maui!!This paper already had the beautiful tropical flowers in the bottom right corner. I turned one of the pages to put flowers in both corners of the double layout. I also used the bottom identifying strip at the bottom of the paper as the horizontal strip on the page to serve as an anchor for the photos. It's a super simple (and free) way to add something extra to your page. I cut the title with my Cricut in Design Space. This was a pretty simple page, but I really wanted to let the photos steal the show.
Well that is it for my Hawaii album!! I hope that you've enjoyed it and found some inspiration. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Which one was your favorite? Are you planning a trip to Hawaii anytime soon? It's such a great escape!!
