Elk - Two Page Scrapbook Travel Layout

Just got back from a work trip to Florida, yesterday. We stayed an extra few days on Amelia Island. The weather was pretty tolerable for Florida. It was actually cooler there than it's been here in NE Indiana!

I'm jumping right back into the blogging routine and have another travel layout to share with you today.

This mountain scenery is unbelievable, in spite of the residual smoke that drifted in from the California wildfires.

The paper is from Close to My Heart, along with PhotoPlay map paper and journaling card of Yellowstone. I used some small strips and banners of some argyle paper I found in my scrappy stash. I love when I can incorporate some of my patterned paper scrap stash into a layout! The washi tape is from Paper Studio. I cut the title from some scraps of woodgrain paper and the elk silhouette out of brown.
Hope you enjoy this and find some inspiration from my travel layouts. Have a great day! It's time for me to go unpack! 😃

Mammoth Hot Springs - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

I hope you've noticed that I'm on a roll of posting regularly. Hopefully, I didn't just jinx myself.

Today, I'm sharing another layout from our Yellowstone trip from a few years back. This is still one of my favorite destinations so far.

We travelled north in Yellowstone National Park to Mammoth, Wyoming to see the Mammoth Hot Springs and saw the Continental Divide along the way.

Since I failed to journal on my page, 😲 Mammoth Hot Springs is a large complex of hot springs on a hill of travertine adjacent to Fort Yellowstone. It was created over thousands of years as hot water from the spring cooled and deposited calcium carbonate. You can walk along the boardwalk and see all of the interesting formations.
The Close to My Heart cardstock and American Crafts "Wolf Pack" paper were a great combo for this layout along with some woodgrain washi tape. I'm not sure where the "Wander" embellishment came from but I think it was a different pack of designer paper. I cut some cool evergreens for embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my Yellowstone layouts. Enjoy your weekend!

Pronghorn Antelope - Two Page Travel Scrapbook layout

Hello! Can't hardly believe it is already Memorial Day weekend. It was just March! As I get older, times flies faster and faster. Sometimes it makes my head spin.

I'm back today to share another Yellowstone layout with you. Hope it inspires you in some way.

As we traveled through Yellowstone, we had the privilege of seeing a herd of Pronghorn run across the road. We had enough time to snap some pictures.

The paper and embellishments are from KaiserCraft "Let's Go" collection. I love to buy packs of coordinating paper like this. It makes it so much easier to put a page together without searching for endless coordinating paper and random embellishments.
I remember trying to make this page look a little different. I achieved that... Haha....but I don't think I will ever get used to the upside down pennant. It's really throwing me off. Oh well, I like everything else about the page, so it will stay.

I'm enjoying reliving our trip to the Tetons as I share my scrapbook with you. It was so amazing! The scenery, the wildlife, the mountains! I hope we will have time to go back some day! Highly recommend it...10 out of 10!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your holiday, but most of all remember the reason behind it as you think on these lyrics.

"America the Beautiful"

"O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country love
And mercy more than life."

Hot Shot - Two Page Travel Scrapbook layout

Here's another fun layout from our trip to see Old Faithful. There was a ton of people there and the traffic and parking was crazy, but totally worth fighting the crowd to see this great icon of Yellowstone National Park. Definitely one of those bucket list destinations!

If you follow me, you probably know that I like to have fun with titles and typically create my own layered designs. I found the words separately and picked them out of other Design Space images by using the contour feature. Then layered them and played with the size/scale to see what it would look like on my page.
The paper is Photo Play "Old Faithful"...seems appropriate, right? I bought two or three sheets of this so I could use both sides. One side is the all over map of Yellowstone, and the other is the card embellishments. The Kraft flowers are Recollection brand. I even added a few to the left side to embellish the bunch of flowers that were printed on the map paper. The simple arrows are from Close to my Heart "Aurora". I was too chicken to stamp it right on my page, so I used a separate, matching sheet of cardstock. I don't love that look, but I didn't want to redo my page if I messed up. The extra wide map decorate tape is from Zaomo. I never heard of this brand, but I love it.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!!
