Pronghorn Antelope - Two Page Travel Scrapbook layout

Hello! Can't hardly believe it is already Memorial Day weekend. It was just March! As I get older, times flies faster and faster. Sometimes it makes my head spin.

I'm back today to share another Yellowstone layout with you. Hope it inspires you in some way.

As we traveled through Yellowstone, we had the privilege of seeing a herd of Pronghorn run across the road. We had enough time to snap some pictures.

The paper and embellishments are from KaiserCraft "Let's Go" collection. I love to buy packs of coordinating paper like this. It makes it so much easier to put a page together without searching for endless coordinating paper and random embellishments.
I remember trying to make this page look a little different. I achieved that... Haha....but I don't think I will ever get used to the upside down pennant. It's really throwing me off. Oh well, I like everything else about the page, so it will stay.

I'm enjoying reliving our trip to the Tetons as I share my scrapbook with you. It was so amazing! The scenery, the wildlife, the mountains! I hope we will have time to go back some day! Highly recommend it...10 out of 10!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your holiday, but most of all remember the reason behind it as you think on these lyrics.

"America the Beautiful"

"O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country love
And mercy more than life."

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Two Page Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hello again! I promised to post a few more Christmas layouts before the season is behind us.

I love the title for this page. It was a lot of work to cut out, but I think it was totally worth the effort, as most good thins are! I also love the fox Washi that I added across the page. It's so cute, but you can see my Cricut was having a little trouble with the cuts.
Do you get a real tree for Christmas? We love real trees, even though they can be a hassle. I've loved the years where our kids and grandkids went along with us to pick it out. After, we'd grab some dinner together. Sadly, our other son and wife couldn't make it in 2020. The grands rode with us in the car and we sang some Christmas songs together on the road.

The pictures above were taken of a home in our neighborhood which is beautifully decked out for Christmas each year. The reflection of the lights on the pond is quite spectacular. This is not one of those "tacky" Christmas displays. It's really beautiful!
So many wonderful memories of Christmases past. So much can change in the scope of a few years. Enjoy every moment with family!

Pumpkin Patch - Two Pager Fall Scrapbook Layout

 Hello! It's been awhile.

I have so many fall layouts to share, and now winter is at our doorstep. But maybe some of you are working on your fall layouts? Here's a little inspiration, either way.

One of our traditions that we've managed to keep up with is taking the grands to the apple orchard and the pumpkin patch.

I'm not sure how it's been 3 years since this particular pumpkin event, but WOW! Once again, time proves to be faster than the blink of an eye.

First...ugh, I wish I had beautiful hand writing. I spend most of my day on a computer now, so I really don't get much practice with writing anymore. Currently, I use my Cricut for most of my journaling because it's just more fun and the results are much more legible.
The pics look a little weird in the photos of these layouts. I'm not sure why, but they don't look like that for real. Anyway, I love the argyle style paper for these fall pics. Hope the layout inspires you in some way.
Have a beautiful week!

Richard Marx - One Page Scrapbook Layout

We don't normally do much for Valentine's Day. Guess we just prefer to stay in, especially when it's chilly outside. But a few years back, my sweet Hubby treated me to a Richard Marx contest right here in town. It was so much fun!! He puts on a great show and, of course, I LOVE his music. It was a great evening together.

This beautiful paper is so pretty!! Full of pink, red, lacey doilies and all things L.O.V.E. I didn't need to add very much, except my pictures and some journaling. I matted the photos in gray, and double matted the photo of me and my Hubs. I wish I would have used my Cricut to journal, but it's at least legible! Why didn't I wear red or pink? 💕

Hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day with those you love! Have a great week!

Family - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Oh how we miss our siblings! It seems like it has been forever since we've been together. We have such a tight bond and really enjoy each other's company.

This layout is from 3 years ago and I'm not sure why I haven't posted it before. It was a pretty simple layout. Really nothing special about the layout, except that I love these humans. :)

I am pretty excited about the title. This is a draw and cut image from Design Space. Love the extra detail of the drawing.
And the little foxy. I love foxes. They are so cute. The banner at the upper left corner is a sticker from a paper pack. I don't love using stickers, but sometimes they make sense for a quick easy layout.
This would be a time that the Cricut journaling would have been handy. My writing is so bad! Hopefully somebody will be able to read this when they look back at it.
I'm my own worst critique, but in hindsight, I would have carried the horizontal banner all the way across the layout. But it's fine...it's all fine. And the beautiful memories of family fun are being preserved for future generations.

Thanks for stopping by!

One Page Scrapbook Layout - "Up in the Attic"

The attic in our old home was a place of great mystery. Our grandkids were so intrigued and curious every time we pulled down the stairway to take something up or down. They were dying to see what was up there! Just before we moved out of our home, we gave them the opportunity to go up and check it out.
Their Daddy helped them up and down since there aren't any railings to hold onto. Look at the terrified look on their faces! I guess it wasn't nearly as much fun as they thought it might be. 😏 They took a quick look around up there at the stacks of boxes and they were done!

This probably seems like a silly thing to scrapbook, but it's just one more memory of our home  and our moving days that I'm trying to preserve. Our boys (now grown) were up and down those steps so many times during the moving process!! They just kept bringing boxes down....so much STUFF!! They were such good troopers about it. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think about how much help they were to us!! They kept us moving forward and were so entertaining in the process. I wanted to curl up in a ball and make it all go away, but their maturity, perseverance, and sacrifice just kept us going until finally it was all done! We really can't thank them enough. I've never been more proud of the amazing young men they've become. And...did I mention my daughter-in-laws!!! Holy cow! They were hoisting furniture, boxes....all in sub zero weather, blowing snow and wind!

We're incredibly thankful and blessed to be in our new home. Yes, we still have an attic, but this time with a real stairway and a lot less junk!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Little Lady" and "Little Man"

I just returned from a weekend scrapbook retreat! I got quite a bit done, and I can't wait to show you them! I brought home a cruddy cold with me. Mucinex, Cold Eeze and Kleenex are my besties right now.

Before I share my newer layouts, I still have more layouts from our fall photo shoot (2015) to share with you. This two pager features my two grandbabies! They're the cutest in all the land...
You know me...I love to mix up patterned paper, and this layout is no different. I am happy with how it turned out. Too crazy for you?
Couldn't resist adding the deer paperclip. How cute is this?

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Happy Together"

Young love! These two are married now, but were just dating (seriously) at the time of our family photo shoot. With each family picture we took, we made sure we took one without her in it. I felt terrible doing it, but honestly, you just never know if they're going to last. If they don't last, you're likely not to hang any pictures with her in it. Yes...it happened before, so I was a bit gun shy.
Katie was very understanding about it. Thankfully, we never had to post the pictures without her in them! We never even printed them! She's a keeper and we are so blessed with two wonderful daughter-in-loves.
They celebrate their first anniversary this weekend!! Woot! So excited to watch them grow together in love as their future unfolds. They're so great together!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are enjoying all the layouts from this photo shoot. I'm enjoying reliving the memories as I post them.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Sweet"

These two cuties...They have my heart! Here's another layout from their birthday photo shoot.
They argue and fight, but deep down they kind of like each other. :) We're so blessed to have them living so close.
This pictures are about two and a half years old now! Gulp!! They're growing up so fast, and this Gramma is trying to keep up and stay relevant in their life.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Family"

Here's a layout of one of our many visits with my Mom before she passed. My son, daughter-in-love and grandkids were able to make the trip as well.
My grand daughter picked a dandelion for me, so I put it behind my ear and we posed for a picture together. I always look better when she's in the pic. She's just the best and my heart overflows just thinking of the blessings of being called Grandma.
My brother and I are posing with my mom in the top picture. This was a few years back, so she didn't look terrible here, but she'd definitely started her decline. She suffered from Parkinson's until last October. I still cry when I see pictures or when I think of the wonderful Mom she was to us!
It was a special time with my Mom, and I'm so thankful for every visit that we had with her!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - Family

I'm on a roll posting layouts this week! Here's an older layout with pictures from a family wedding back in April, 2015.
My brother and I (and our spouses) took my Mom to my cousin's daughter's wedding. The destination is about an hour and a half north. My Mom was in mid to late stage Parkinsons and the thought of taking her that far was daunting to all of us. But we did it, without too much trouble. I think she enjoyed herself, although she had trouble smiling and expressing her emotions.
This is probably one of our last "big" outings with her. She passed away last October. I miss her so much! Looking back at these pictures brings back mostly good memories of a day well spent with her and extended family.
I know it seems odd that I don't have a pic of the bride and groom, probably because I don't really know the actual bride that well. But, it was so great to see our cousins on this side of the family!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! We'll see how long my posting streak continues.

One Page Scrapbook Layout - "End of the Road"

Last layout of our trip!! Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. Eventually, you hit your vacation budget, use all of your paid time off work, and have to come home. 😢 It was an awesome anniversary celebration!

Key West is at the southernmost part of the U.S. where Hwy 1 comes to an end. These pics are taken near the iconic landmark at the southernmost point which is 90 miles from Cuba.
The paper is Kaisercraft "Sea Breeze" and Simple Stories wood chevron for the banner arrow that anchors the pictures. I used a couple of different kinds of ribbon down the center and added a little date tag with a touch of ribbon to accentuate the one picture. At the last minute, I added a little slip of ribbon at the top and simply folded it over and topped it with a wood button.  Hope you like this last page of our anniversary trip! If you want to see the rest of the Key West layouts, got to the bottom of this post and type Key West in the search bar. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

One page scrapbook layout - "Joy"

Here's another Christmas layout with Heidi Swapp paper and embellies. It's easy to crank out nice looking layouts with a stack of paper that all blends and is easily layered up together.
We all try to get together and visit my Mom at Christmas. She's three hours away in an assisted living center in Michigan. It's hard to make the trip up there, especially when weather is so unpredictable. She enjoys the craziness of a big group, when we can all make it, although she tires quickly.  It's nice to spend some time with my brother and his wife too! This year my son, Jacob and his GF, Katie came along.
The ribbon is Celebrate it and the floss from Sew Easy. The title font "Joy" is a great find from the old Wild Card cartridge.
Thanks for stopping by! Stop back tomorrow for another Christmas layout!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Noel"

As I look at these Christmas pictures from a few years back, not only has my grandbaby changed tremendously, but both of my boys have also changed. I'm so proud of them and the choices they are making in their lives.
We all try to make it to church together for Christmas Eve service, so it's fun to snap a few pictures in the foyer while we were all dressed up. I have a beautiful family and my life is truly blessed by each of them!
This paper is Photo Play's "Dear Santa". I love the plaid flannel look, especially for my burly boys. The noel die cut is from Jolly Holidays with a SU embellishment for the O.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Definitely more Christmas layouts to come.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Family is Forever"

Do these photos look familiar? This layout is for my grandson's album, and it includes the photos of him and one family photo for him to remember how big his sissy was at this age, and how good looking his parents are. 😉
Sometimes I use the same design, but many times it ends up completely different than the layouts in our family album. I babied this one up a little with the a white scallop border around the photos, but it's still very boyish with the woodgrain, stripes and primary color accents.
Our little man is so stinking precious. He's his mother's mini and he has a precious personality. He's two and a half now and he's definitely giving his parents a good run! He's very active and ALL BOY!
The background paper is from Recollections and the woodgrain from My Mind's Eye and the journaling card is Basic Gray "Capture". The button embellishments are from Studio G, as well as some SU punched scalloped circles.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Imagine"

I'm squeezing in a few more fall layouts before we're fully into the Christmas season.
These beautiful photographs are from a fall photo shoot in 2014. It's taken me a while to get these posted!! What a gorgeous little family! They mean the world to me! This is my son, daughter-in-love, and our two beautiful grandchildren.
I love these beautiful paper and journaling tag from My Minds Eye "Indie Chic". What beautiful way to show off my sweet family. The title is cut from Circut's "Graphically Speaking". I used the SU washi and 5 petal flower punch topped with a brad above the journaling tag.
As families, things are never perfect, but we never give up and we love each other unconditionally. We are truly blessed beyond measure.
Thanks for stopping by my little blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "My Sunshine"

Here's a girlie layout of my favorite little Sunshine. She brings so much joy to our family.
Those eyes...that smile! Could she be anymore adorable?
The paper is from StampinUp and Simple Stories. The pretty pink ball fringe ribbon is American Crafts. The chipboard pieces are from Studio G. The banner, branches, and journaling tags were cut with Cricut's Art Philosophy. The double 5 point flower and the little bitty flowers were created with StampinUp punches.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a lovely and productive week!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Cute as a Button"

April is a special month with our family. Our two grandchildren were both born in April! I find it so ironic, because both of my boys were born in August. We celebrate these two precious little ones!!
These pics are from 2015. This is how I scrap...always about a year behind, and then it takes me even more time to photograph my layouts and get them posted here.
Scarlet is such a treasure! I love her tender heart, and her inquisitive, adventurous spirit. She's her Daddy's little girl, right down to her big, beautiful brown eyes.
The paper is from Embellish by Dena "Happi Boy". The flowers were some I picked up at Michaels and inked the edges a little bit. The brads are from Studio Calico and My Minds Eye. I used the bitty scalloped circle punch from StampinUp! for the center of the flowers and the larger scalloped punch for the number. The ribbon was some from my stash and I love how it matched perfectly and made the layout a bit more feminine since this is for my granddaughters album. The title is from Cricut's "Kate's ABC's".

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!
