Tourin' the Town - Two Page Scrapbook Page

Here is my second to the last layout for our Wyoming trip! These photos were taken from the restaurant on our last night in Jackson Hole. It was fun to eat right down town.
We had lots of critters eyeing our food!
Do you like using patterned paper? It's my favorite. Sometimes it looks a little busy, but I can deal with that. I just try to break it up with some solids and embellishments. The paper is Recollections and Simple Stories "Happy Trails". The title, journaling and all embellishments were created with my Cricut in Design Space. I don't use stickers very often, but sometimes these little alpha letters are just the ticket.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. One more Wyoming layout to share!

Teton Glaciers - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Hello scrappy friends! Hope your week is off to a good start.

I have a few more scrapbook layouts from our trip to the Tetons in September 2020. It was such a trying year! What a blessing to be able to get away and enjoy God's creation at it's very best!

This collection is KaiserCraft "Let's Go". It worked perfectly with my pictures and I wish I had more of it. Having the stamps, ephemera and zip strip from the same collection makes it all so easy to assemble a coordinated page. I designed my title and journaling in a text inside a drawn box with my Cricut. The title font is "Go Canada"
I really like the color of the background paper. It's kind of a stormy blue.
Hope you are inspired to create today! Come back soon! Only a few Teton layouts left to share.

Always Take the Scenic Route - Two Page Scrapbook Travel Layout

Hope you aren't tired of seeing my Wyoming scrapbook layouts. I only have a few more, and then I'll move on. Promise!

Here's a fun layout of the route north of Yellowstone Park. Again, the scenery is amazing. So many beautiful photo ops. We stopped every 5 minutes to take pictures.

Echo Park's "Let's Go Anywhere" paper was fun to use with these pictures. I was unsure of all the black and white pattern, but actually love how it turned out. I used the DTC Shiplap font for the journaling, cut some whimsical pines, and a fun wood road sign (I have no idea what line it's from). I loved mixing these two patterned paper and lining it with the black and white woodgrain washi tape.

Hope you ae having a great week!!

Home on the Range - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

I'm back to share another layout from our trip to Wyoming. Hope you're not getting bored with all of these layouts.

It was so cool to see this herd of buffalo in Yellowstone. Even though they are plentiful in the park, I'd never seen this many together, so close. They totally own the road and rightfully so. Everybody wants to see them close up, especially the calves. They can hold up traffic for awhile, but nobody seems to mind!

The paper is Reminisce "Scrap This" and "Get Crafty" along with Kaiser Craft's "Let's Go" collection. The washi is maybe from Recollections. I journaled with my Cricut using the "Dusty Spurs" font and added the buffalo. I love how detailed it turned out, almost like one jumped off the photo.
I remember the title being difficult to cut because the letters were so thin, but I don't remember why I tipped the title word "range". I don't like it now.😜 It's okay to look back and wish something was different. Do you ever go back and change something on your finished layouts? I will definitely fix a date (which my husband seems to catch when I show him), or something else that I got wrong for historical purposes. I try to just use it as a learning experience, knowing not every layout will be published, or a work of art.

Hope you are off to a great start this week! Thank you for checking out my layouts!

View from the Top - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

How do you feel about heights? We rode the Aerial Tram in the Teton Village on my birthday. It wasn't that high, and we loved it. The smoky haze from the wild fires dampened the view just a bit, though.

We caught the tram right in the village, just steps away from our hotel.
The paper is Basic Grey "Periphery" and Paper House with Zaomo washi and twine. I added some ephemera from Kaiser Craft "Let's Go" collection. I stamped the camera, tag and other doodads  with CTMH "Life in Pictures". I created the tag in Design Space and journaled on it. I also designed the title myself.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a crafty week!

Enjoy the Ride - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Hello again. Here's another layout from our visit to the Grand Tetons area in Wyoming.

For my birthday, we rented bikes for a day! So much fun. I wanted to try out an electric bike. Oh my word...GAME CHANGER! Our path was flat, so I didn't really need it, but it was the perfect time to try something new.

We rode 6 miles to a cute french cafe. We ordered lunch, and sat and enjoyed our coffee in the sunshine. I forgot to even turn on the motor until the way back! Mark was a little sad as I left him in the dust behind me. I've been trying to find a way to justify an electric bike at home since this was so fun. They are pretty expensive, and my current manual pedal bike is new and I love it so much. Maybe some day I'll upgrade to electric. We do have some smaller hills and inclines near our home.
The paper, stickers and ephemera are from the lovely Echo Park's "Good Day Sunshine" collection. Pretty appropriate name, in my opinion. Especially for this particular layout! It was such a great day!!
I added Paper Studio washi tape above the Cricut journaling. The Enjoy the Ride title is also from Design Space. I popped up the center for definition.
Thanks for stopping by! I have so many more travel layouts to share.

Fantasy of Lights - Two Page Christmas Scrapbook Layout

I'm on a roll here with posting my Christmas layouts from a few years back. It's been fun reliving the memories as I share my layouts with you.

I love the paper with this layout. It reminds me of vertical light strings. I added the simple evergreens with white "snow", and cut a few strands of mini lights to drape across the top. Love when you can save the free pass and use it for the title!
I had the two glittery scraps (journaling background and horizontal piece) that match your layout perfectly. I love to use scraps!

I hope you are inspired by this layout. It's such a busy and exhausting time!! Here's to getting everything done and then being able to relax and enjoy the magic and peace that follows.
I'm planning to post a few more, if I can squeak in the time.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas - Two Page Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hello again! I promised to post a few more Christmas layouts before the season is behind us.

I love the title for this page. It was a lot of work to cut out, but I think it was totally worth the effort, as most good thins are! I also love the fox Washi that I added across the page. It's so cute, but you can see my Cricut was having a little trouble with the cuts.
Do you get a real tree for Christmas? We love real trees, even though they can be a hassle. I've loved the years where our kids and grandkids went along with us to pick it out. After, we'd grab some dinner together. Sadly, our other son and wife couldn't make it in 2020. The grands rode with us in the car and we sang some Christmas songs together on the road.

The pictures above were taken of a home in our neighborhood which is beautifully decked out for Christmas each year. The reflection of the lights on the pond is quite spectacular. This is not one of those "tacky" Christmas displays. It's really beautiful!
So many wonderful memories of Christmases past. So much can change in the scope of a few years. Enjoy every moment with family!

Peace and Love - Two Page Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Here I go with the first of my Christmas layouts to share this season.

Do you scrapbook chronologically? That is typically the way I do it. It keeps things in order and that seems to be less confusing for me. Otherwise, I'm wondering what is done and what isn't. Ugh...that's just how I roll and it works for me!

As you can see I am posting at least a few years after the pictures were taken. I'm really only a year to year and a half behind in actually scrapping my photos....It just takes me awhile to take photos of my layouts, and then post them here. These last two steps, are my least favorite and they tend to sink to the bottom of my at home "to do" list.

Anyway, here's my first Christmas layout post of 2023! It is December, after all!

I love watching our boys and their girls opening gifts. They seem to have fun with it, just like the little kids. I just read the date and this layout is actually from Christmas 2019!!!
So much has transpired in the last almost 4 years. I love my family so much, even through the many ups, downs, and shock losses that occur along the way.
Since I do scrap chronologically, I tend to get tired of all the Christmas paper and traditional Christmas colors. I used olive cardstock here and a smaller scrap of some untraditional looking Christmas paper. I really could have added some embellishments here now that I look at it 4 years later. To be honest, Christmas photos are my last types of photos to scrap. I love Christmas, though!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope your Christmas preparations are bringing you joy instead of stress and anxiety! I'm trying to keep the reason for the season front and center this year. God sent his son to save each one of us! Unconditional love given for a world that doesn't deserve His mercy and grace.

Teton Village - Two Page Travel Layout

Here's another layout from our Wyoming trip in 2020. The Teton Village is just outside the entrance for the Teton National Park. Our group stayed at The Terra Hotel. It was beautiful and we loved our stay there. In fact, I'd like to book another meeting there in the future with one of our groups. There were lots of other accommodations available, as well as some shopping and eateries. Of course, the Teton Mountain Range is the most scenic back drop for the entire area!

This was a pretty simple layout. All pictures were matted on white for definition and I added black and white washi tape to highlight a few of the pictures. I like the black and white with the green plaid patterned paper.
I created the title in Design Space and cut it with my Cricut along with Mr. Moose. The dark green banners on both sides of the layout help to anchor the photos. Circut journaling for the "win", so that future generations can actually read it. I also added a few black and white tickets from my stash

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a lovely rest of the week!

#grandmalife - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

We are very blessed to have our two grandchildren living within 15 minutes of us. Many grandparents have to travel so much farther to enjoy their littles. We sometimes pick them up from school, take them for donuts, to the park, or the Dollar Store. Sometimes they also get to stay up late, eat popcorn, watch movies and spend the night at our house. This is from a overnighter a few years ago. Time is a thief!

I used an assortment of patterned paper and layered them up pennants together going one way across the page. Double layering the pictures is not real common for me, but I love the extra emphasis it adds with this layout.
We have so much fun with these two!! We have our moments of struggle, as well, but that is all part of it, and worth it all!
I used an oval scalloped punch to frame up the "memories" embellishment, a white jelly roll pen on navy for the date, and the Cricut for my bullet journaling. The hearts were cut with my Cricut and added to the left of each bullet point. One of the zip strips from the bottom of the patterned paper was perfect for tearing and adding to look like Washi tape at the top of a picture.

I like how the layout turned out and love the smiling faces on these pages . Hope you are inspired in some way. Have a crafty week.

Breakfast - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Do you scrapbook your food? Food photos are a big thing for some, but not really for me. Unless it is a fun and memorable experience that I want to document!

On our way home from "Up North" we stopped at this wonderful restaurant for breakfast. I loved the yummy traditional breakfast food (including crispy bacon), yummy lattes, and the fun vintage decor.

To fit with the vintage vibe, I used some Ombre geometric paper for the background. So fun! I can't think of a better use for this last bit of paper from Glitz "Finley".  The button is cut like a prism and I'm sure it's going to stick out in my album, but worth it! The little mini alpha stamps are an easy way to add the name of the restaurant as a subtitle - Anna's House, Holland, MI
I love all the little knick knacks on the shelves. No, I wouldn't want them in my own house, but the decor made this place special and memorable. It was a wonderful blend of new and old. Look at "Flo" on the ladies room door. She's perfect!
The Scotch washi tape seems to tie it all together well. I especially like the title and coffee cup cut with images from Design Space. I used my Cricut to journal since I had a rather small space and wanted it to be legible. 😀

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope your week is off to a good start!

Silent Night - Two Page winter scrapbook layout

Hello again! Yes, this is my second post this week. :) I'm on a roll.

These pictures were taken the evening of Christmas Day 2019. The back of our house looks so much better now. We now have beautiful Craftsman style posts with stone bases and some additional trim up in the peak. Much better than the crooked lumber holding it up in this photo.  The underside of the covered porch is still unfinished today (much to my dismay), but it will be finished some day!

I love the Kraft paper with Christmas wording, even though this was obviously NOT a white Christmas! I found the woodsy stick images including the title in Cricut Design Studio. It was all one image, but after cutting, I moved them around on my page to accent the photos.
I added a few strips of scrap Christmas paper and wrote out the journaling with my Cricut. I love that feature, since my handwriting is terrible....per everybody in the family, except my husband who has gotten pretty good at deciphering it after 37 years of marriage.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you find some inspiration for a crafty weekend!

Comfort Food - One Page Layout

Oh boy...there goes Fall! Temps have dipped down more than 30 degrees from last week to this week. We even had snow over the weekend. Wow...I'm just not ready for the "W" season yet.

Time to post some yummy, warm pics of comfort food. This warms me up on the inside...just looking at the pictures. Yes, we are already breaking out the soup pot. Tonight is leftover chilli.

I love my red cast iron soup pot. This is actually my second one. I wore out the first one. My husband looks forward to seeing the red pot on the stove. It signifies something good is about to happen!! He is so easy to please with food. I haven't made very many meals that he didn't like. Soup is one of his faves through the cold months!! It also means, leftovers the next day! WooHoo!
Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Fattening? Yes! I try to eat low carb, though, and this fits in pretty well if I use Keto bread. Anyway...I love the mix of patterned paper that makes my soup pot pop off the page. The eat sign is from Design Sapce, wrapped with black and white baker's twine.

Thanks for stopping by. This post has primed my tummy for Chilli! Bye!

Sleepover - Two Page Scrapbook Layout - Grandchildre

Being a Grandma may be one of the few things that gives me purpose lately. Helping them navigate their young lives and hopefully passing on a legacy of strong family, unconditional love, and faith in the Lord. My two crazies...keep me sane...even when I'm feeling discouraged.

Don't get me wrong, these two give me a run for my money sometimes! I love the creativity and the smiles captured here during one of their sleepovers. Hot Wheels, fairy garden fun, coloring, reading on the porch, making chocolate chip cookies, eating them, and bedtime stories!
I love this water color distressed paper. The photos are matted in a light blue to help them stand out on the paper. I found some closely coordinating flowered and numbered paper for the brackets and banner strips. Lastly, I added a few directional stamps along the edges. Using my Cricut for journaling is a Godsend because my own writing is awful. I wish I could write this neatly with my own hands.
The title is from Design Space. The layering helps give it dimension, along with the chunky baker's twine bow tied vertically around the entire left page. Simple, with lots of fun pictures that bring back memories of a few years back. That's what it is all about...keeping the memories close in our hearts.

Hope you are starting to enjoy the beautiful early summer weather! It's not my favorite season, but I do love temps in the mid-70's!

Have a blessed week!

This is How I Roll - Police Academy Two Page Scrapbook Layout

We celebrated my son with a party at his home. We had a great group of people show up to show their support for his new role and sacrifice for the community. I'm so grateful for these photos and the great memories that still linger in my heart from this day.

Scarlet got into the photo booth and her expressions crack me up! She's so serious!

I used  a lot of different red white and blue patterned paper, and some miscellaneous police stickers. I matted all of the pictures on white to help them pop off the patterned paper. My Cricut did the journaling for me so all can read my thoughts and emotions for this major life event.
Super fun and simple layout. Hope you are inspired in some way.
