Sleepover - Two Page Scrapbook Layout - Grandchildre

Being a Grandma may be one of the few things that gives me purpose lately. Helping them navigate their young lives and hopefully passing on a legacy of strong family, unconditional love, and faith in the Lord. My two crazies...keep me sane...even when I'm feeling discouraged.

Don't get me wrong, these two give me a run for my money sometimes! I love the creativity and the smiles captured here during one of their sleepovers. Hot Wheels, fairy garden fun, coloring, reading on the porch, making chocolate chip cookies, eating them, and bedtime stories!
I love this water color distressed paper. The photos are matted in a light blue to help them stand out on the paper. I found some closely coordinating flowered and numbered paper for the brackets and banner strips. Lastly, I added a few directional stamps along the edges. Using my Cricut for journaling is a Godsend because my own writing is awful. I wish I could write this neatly with my own hands.
The title is from Design Space. The layering helps give it dimension, along with the chunky baker's twine bow tied vertically around the entire left page. Simple, with lots of fun pictures that bring back memories of a few years back. That's what it is all about...keeping the memories close in our hearts.

Hope you are starting to enjoy the beautiful early summer weather! It's not my favorite season, but I do love temps in the mid-70's!

Have a blessed week!

Paradise Found - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Layout

After the "working" part of our trip, we took a hopper flight to Maui. Most would have probably wanted to go check out one of the other Hawaiian islands, but we just loved Maui the first time and had to go back!

These pictures were taken when we arrived at the condo we rented for the whole week. Paradise....for a whole week! We had gorgeous views of the ocean from the lanai and breathtaking mountain views from the front door of our condo.
I used a very light pink to mat all of the photos, and teamed it with a pretty light green found in the boat on the right side. The palm tree was an easy cut with my Cricut. I added a few markings to make it look a little more real. I used a black pen to go around the edge of the word Paradise in order to help it pop off the page a bit more. I adore all things wood grain, so this paper was a nice pairing with the large scale beach print on the right.
When I have a large scale print paper that I adore (especially because of the softer colors), it's really hard to cover it with photos.😊 This one worked out well with the 5 photos I used. The palm tree and title on the left helped balance the two pages.
If you've never been to Maui, it should be at the top of your bucket list!! We are blessed to have had the opportunity to go a second time. The first time was 10 years ago! Maybe we can go back in another 10.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Enjoy your day!
