Sunshine and Good Times - Two Page Fall Scrapbook Layout

Hello! I have another fun fall layout to share with you today. We took our grandkids to the local sunflower field. We picked some flowers and took some fun photos together.

Aren't they the cutest? We had such a great time enjoying the massive field of sunflowers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a lovely weekend!

Elk - Two Page Scrapbook Travel Layout

Just got back from a work trip to Florida, yesterday. We stayed an extra few days on Amelia Island. The weather was pretty tolerable for Florida. It was actually cooler there than it's been here in NE Indiana!

I'm jumping right back into the blogging routine and have another travel layout to share with you today.

This mountain scenery is unbelievable, in spite of the residual smoke that drifted in from the California wildfires.

The paper is from Close to My Heart, along with PhotoPlay map paper and journaling card of Yellowstone. I used some small strips and banners of some argyle paper I found in my scrappy stash. I love when I can incorporate some of my patterned paper scrap stash into a layout! The washi tape is from Paper Studio. I cut the title from some scraps of woodgrain paper and the elk silhouette out of brown.
Hope you enjoy this and find some inspiration from my travel layouts. Have a great day! It's time for me to go unpack! 😃

Fresh - Two Page Fall Scrapbook Layout

Here we go with another fall layout. This one featuring pictures from a farm market that we went to with siblings during one of our getaway weekends. Most of these pictures are from the Farmer's Market in Flint, Michigan. We enjoyed looking at everything they had to offer. Fun stuff!!

I love the fall paper with the hint of blue! The "fresh" cutout was perfect for the theme, but didn't show up quite as I hoped it would on the patterned paper. I guess I could have backed with cardstock, but I chose to roll with it. Look at all of those beautiful home grown veggies, and the flowers!
I didn't add much to the right side. All of the flowers, banners, etc. were part of the woodgrain patterned paper and worked with the theme of the layout. The donuts were homemade pumpkin spice Keto donuts by yours truly. Everybody really liked them.
More layouts from this weekend to come. I miss my hubby's siblings so much. It's been a rough couple months for many of us and we just need a weekend-long group hug. I'm so thankful for each of them in my life. Do we always get along perfectly? No...but for the most part, it is a time of joy and so much laughter!! We are blessed to have each other.

Apple Festival - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Fall is my favorite, as I'm sure I've mentioned before.🍎🍁🍂 Today, I'm sharing another fall layout from a few years back. This one is featuring pictures from the Kendallville Apple Festival. It was a beautiful day and I have such great memories from being together as a family.

I am such a sucker for woodgrain paper. Most of the embellishments I used are from a fall stack of paper, including some stickers. I cut the title and swirl with my Cricut. Typically, I'm not a big fan of stickers, but they do make for a quick page that coordinates easily.
I loved the banner on one of the extra paper scraps, so I just cut it out the best I could and slapped it up in the corner. I'm still not sure that I'm a big fan of how it turned out. I added a few word banners which were also from the same fall paper pack.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you have a productive and happy weekend.

Wanderlust - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout

The sun is shining brightly here in northeast Indiana. People are calling it "fake spring"😆. Even though it won't last, it's beautiful to feel the sun shining in through the windows. It won't be long, now...Spring is on it's way.

In the meantime, let's enjoy some more calming scenes from Maui! 😎 Remember what I said about the Road to Hana? The road back is also a beautiful adventure! We continued northeastward around the bottom tip of the island. All of the signs instruct you to go back the way you came, but...we wanted a new adventure. The woodgrain paper had the perfect colors to accentuate the landscape. All of the browns, golds, greens and blues make a beautiful background. The washi tape is from another brand, but worked worked well with it, adding a little extra detail. The title was cut with images from Design Space, along with the little wisps of field grasses.

The rustic road signs are also from Design Space. I let Cricut write the "Road Less Travelled", but wrote the others myself and freehanded the highlights on sign posts. I'm pretty happy with the way this layout turned out. It sure makes me want to go back!!
Thanks for stopping my blog today!! Hope you are enjoying some sunshine in your corner of the world!

Adventure - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout

Time to share a sunny and fun layout! These pictures are from our first full day on Maui. We ventured out in the rental jeep to take in all of the sites as we drove up the west coast. We found extraordinary beauty at every bend in the road!!

The color of the water and the sky, the sun and the greenery...it's all amazing! You really need to go! I want to go back already.

I love this tropical paper. I only had one sheet, so I cut off the floral border on the top and the bottom and used them both on each side at the top of my layout. I added a coordinating woodgrain with hints of light blue on the bottom. The title and leaves were cut with my Cricut and the mini flowers were punched with StampinUp punch and topped with a tiny pearl in the center.

We had such a blast exploring. It never got old! We went out wandering almost every day.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope that you are inspired in some way. Have a great week!... I should really be working on Christmas cards. 😊

Breakfast - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Layout

These pictures represent a beautiful start to a most perfect day! We started at a cute little place for breakfast called Moose McGillicuddys. The restaurant sits right across from the ocean. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed a gentle breeze and an amazing view! The food was yummy too!!

The patterned paper is pretty bold, but that doesn't usually stop me!! I like the vintage vibe it gives off... like wallpaper. I added a strip of wood grain paper and a petite yellow floral, along with darker decorative tape to anchor the photos and give it some horizontal definition.
I found a small scrap of patterned paper for the pineapples. The title label is popped up off the page, layered with a simple Hibiscus, and covered with Wink of Stella for a gentle sparkle.
So tell me what you think? Is it a little crazy? If you open the picture you can read the journaling, but at this distance it looks a little messy on the woodgrain paper. That may have worked better on a journaling tag in white? Anywho...I won't go back and fix that now. Aside from the journaling, I really like the way it turned out.

Hope you are all having a great week so far!! Fall is in the air, and I'm pretty excited about that. How about you?

Happy Birthday - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

These boys of mine are the absolute best!!! What an awesome joy and blessing it has been to raise them. Yes...they actually share a birthday so it's the best day ever!!

Today is their big day again and another celebration of their life! This layout features their birthday celebration from two whole years ago!! Proof that time is still flying way too fast. They are now 30 and 28!! Good grief! 😖

We always gather as a family to celebrate, even though it's tough to find a good day that fits everybody's schedule. We always make it happen!! There is always cake. I made this one from scratch and it seems to be a big hit...Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cake. It's pretty dang good.
They used to complain a bit about sharing a birthday, sharing a bedroom, sharing friends at a small Christian school. They had to do a lot of sharing, but we think they turned out all the better for it. They are so much fun and such a joy to be around.
This page was super easy with wood grain paper and two small strips of fun, striped birthday paper! That is pretty much it. The title and balloons were cut with the Cricut and I added some mini numeric stickers to show how stinkin' old they are.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wish my sweet boys a happy happy birthday!!!

Celebrate - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

Here is the last page of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding album! I've been sharing these pages for several months now and we've finally come to the end. :)

They had so many great pictures during the reception, it was really hard to choose just enough for a two page layout! I trimmed a few of them down to 4x4 in order to pack a few more in. Wallet size pics are also a good choice for a page like this with so many awesome pictures to choose from. You will notice I mixed color pictures with black and white throughout this album.
Oh to be this young again!! 😍 They had such a great time celebrating. My son was part of an a Capella group at Ball State and many of them were at the wedding. I kept waiting for them to all break out in song for us, but the upper right picture is the closest they came. Look at all that hair!!
The paper here is a metallic wood grain! It's hard to see it in these photographs, but it is so pretty! One of those papers you almost hate to use (or is that just me??)!
I cut some banners to use down the center of the project to highlight the picture of them dancing together and added a little bit of twine around the banners for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out this wedding album. If you'd like to see all of the layouts for this wedding album in one place, you can find them on Pinterest: My Scrapbook Pages - Wedding

Stay safe and enjoy your additional time with family during the days and weeks ahead!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Smile Smile"

It's really heating up in northeastern Indiana. This is the perfect evening to catch up with my blog! I have so many summer layouts to share with you.\

Here's one form a few years back. Our extended family got together at my husband's sister and brother-in-laws home in Michigan. So much fun with siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins! They have a lovely pool, so they're home is a big, big draw in the summertime. Getting us all there at the same time is the hard part!

I used the circles to echo the circular window in the clubhouse. I didn't really want to cut these pictures into circles, but instead I used the circles as an accent. I also journaled around the cirlces.
Aren't they cuties? The girl and the blondie are my grandbabies!! The other two handsome boys are my great nephews!! Love them all and it's so fun to see them play together since the great nephews live in Texas. They really don't get to see each other very much.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Stay cool! I'll be sharing a few more layouts from our family's extended weekend together over the next few days. Don't forget to stop back!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Finally - Dream Home"

If you've been reading any of my posts, you know we moved into a brand new home a year ago. It's been a wonderful experience for us! Something we'd dreamed of doing for a very long time.
These pics were taken about a week before moving in on December 29, 2017. The moving experience was one I don't ever want to repeat! I hate moving, but moving in sub zero weather is just ridiculous! However, it was totally worth it to get into our new home and start enjoying it.
It's been a fun year of decorating, getting organized and starting some of our own projects that we took on. My husband loves a project (or five). Unfortunately, he doesn't have a lot of time to actually make them a reality, but we'll get there and in the meantime, we're loving our new place and making lots of memories here.
Thanks for checking out our new place. Stop back soon!

Two Page Layout - "Tomorrow will be..."

Last fall was a very bittersweet time for our family. The bitter....My Mom was in the end stages of her battle with Parkinson's disease. What a horrible thing to watch your Mom just waste away. It's a very slow and painful process to watch. She didn't seem to be in pain, thankfully! The sweet...my son was getting married to his forever love and we were all super excited and blessed for her to join our family.

The hardest part was that these two major life events collided in one weekend. My Mom passed away on Friday October 13, the day before my son's wedding. My brother called to give me the word as we were pulling into the venue for the rehearsal dinner that we were in charge of. Well, you can imagine the rush of emotions and anxiety knowing that I had to pull myself together in order to be ready for the rehearsal dinner guests.
Some how, by God's grace, we pulled it off. The venue looked cute and the food was yummy, and really that's all anybody cares about anyway, right? I was riding on my happy emotions and was able to let joy rule the day and the rest of the weekend.
As happy as I was/am for these kids of mine, I knew we were becoming empty nesters. I was experiencing the feeling of being parentless and childless all at the same time! My kids and all of the family visiting for the wedding helped me push on through the sadness.
The wedding was beautiful! I'm working on their album now and will start sharing those layouts soon. I do love this layout, but it still brings tears to my eyes as I remember the roller coaster of emotions that were going on inside of me that weekend and for weeks afterwards. I really didn't have much time to actually grieve. Remember...we were building a home, getting ready to sell our home, pack all of our belongings, and move at the end of the year. I was literally too busy to think about my emotions for very long.
Yes, there was loss, but I also gained a daughter-in-love who is beautiful inside and out! Yes, my youngest son left the nest, but they are very happy together and a Mama can't hold on to her babies forever. That's the way God intended it to be. There have been many changes for my husband and I since last fall, but we are so very happy in our new home and enjoying all of the settling in and decorating.

Whew...longer and more emotional post than normal, but thanks for reading. Have a wonderful weekend!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "All MIne"

Fall is back! We lost it to winter for about a week, but hopefully it's back for awhile now. Just in time for a few more fall layouts. It is my favorite time of year, so I can't help myself.
This man is my rock. He is the most patient and kind man I could ever ask for in my life. He's a wonderful husband, Dad, and PawPaw. I'm a very blessed woman to call him mine! And then there are these crazy, fun-loving, non-stop, beautiful grandchildren of ours! My cup overflows...😻
I can't get enough of these colors and the blue distressed woodgrain background paper. It really pops the orange in the leaves and in our clothing. The banners are all random paper scraps that I've saved. My scrap container comes in handy for layouts with banners. I love when I find a bunch of patterns and colors that all work together. A little washi tape and ribbon...and done.
I think I have one more fall layout with the whole family to share with you soon...and then next up will be Halloween. :) Thanks for stopping by today.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Smile"

This little guy is getting so big. I love watching him grow up, but not too fast. He's full of life and promise! I can't wait to see the plans that God has for him.

We're so proud of my son and his family. I've posted other layouts that featured my granddaughter, but this one is all about Sawyer. He is one and a half in these pictures, but now he is four! Guess it's time for family pictures again?
Our photographer did such a great job. She was so patient and fun!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Believe it or not, I have a few more layouts from this photoshoot. :) Love my family!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Seaside Stop"

I think this is the last layout I have to share of our California trip in June, 2015. It was a fabulous trip!! We're heading back for a business trip next week, but there won't be much time for sight-seeing, so I probably won't take very many pictures.
I adore this paper from We R Memory Keepers. The California journaling tag is from Echo Park wrapped with Karen Foster Scrappers floss. The burlap flowers are Paper Studio.
I punched several different size mini flowers with my StampinUp punches and layered them up to create different flowers. The title font is called "Seaside".
Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out the last of my California layouts. Have a lovely day. The sun is finally shining here in NE Indiana, and I'm loving the warmth!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "LaJolla"

Here's another layout from our 2015 trip to beautiful, sunny California. Looking at these pictures makes me long for sunny warm weather!
LaJolla is a beautiful little seaside town that we consider to be a "must see" if you are near the San Diego area. There are some great shops and eateries in town, a pretty beach, and sea lions to watch on the rocks below.
The paper is Kaiser Kraft's "Sea Breeze Collection" and the fence is cut from narrow strips of Close to My Heart woodgrain paper. The fence was a little time consuming, but I love the way it turned out. I laid down a length of hemp cord (Hemptique) and glued the strips of paper on top of it to hold the hemp in place, creating the look of a distressed beach fence.
The banner is punched with StampinUp's bitty banner punch. I used a small hole punch along the top and wove white string through it to create the banner.
The title font and seagulls are from Cricut's Life is a Beach, and the grass along the fence is Wild Card.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I have one more California layout to share in the next few days, and I think the show and tell from that trip will be done. Time to go back!!
