Garter Toss - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Pages

How is everybody doing out there? How are you handling the social distancing and possible isolation that is happening in our country right now? While it can be a very unsettling time, I'm choosing to stay positive and trying to make the most of it. We are working from home, which is awesome, but the reason behind it does make me sad. Praying our nation will get through this together and that we will stand united, taking care of each other along the way.

On a more joyous note, I'm sharing another two page wedding layout from my son and DIL's wedding a few years back. I was so grateful to be able to put a wedding album together for them.
Sorry for the weird variation in color on the photographs of these layouts. The sun must have been coming in the window where I was shooting these in a way that I didn't notice until now.  I love the ease of using washi tape! I used 2 different woodgrains along with a floral to ground the photos on this page.
As you can see, my son and the boys had a great time together! Crazy kids enjoying their big day. They will look back on their wedding day with such great memories!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your extra time at home means a little more craft time for you. I'm hoping I can be a little more productive this week myself. Blessings  and safety to all of you!!
Remember to look in on your neighbors and take good care of each other.

Bouquet Toss - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

We're getting down to the last few wedding layouts from my son and daughter-in-love's wedding album. I hope you are finding some inspiration in these multi-picture, double layouts.
I just love the look on her face as she's getting ready for the big toss. So cute!!
I didn't add a lot of embellishment to this page, but hopefully just enough to bring out the pictures, sentiments, and memories of their big day.  Since this page was all about the single ladies, I added a doilie and some mini punched flowers to go along with the pink matted pictures. The larger layer of the bottom flower was cut from a scrap of patterned paper that I had in my stash.
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great rest of the week!

Blessings and Toasts - Two Page Wedding Layout

Yes, I even scrapped the blessings and toast. The photographer captured their reactions in these photographs, but I wish could scrapbook videos as the toasts were quite funny.
On top, we have the bride who's changed into her dancin' shoes! So fun!
On the right side (above) my oldest, roasts/toasts his baby brother (the groom). As always, he was quite comical and had the place rolling. I love these boys together!
There were so many moments to capture, so I added a few wallets to tell as much of the story as possible - 9 pictures total. Again, I tried not to go overboard with embellishments to let the pictures steal the show.

Thanks for stopping by and hanging in there through all the wedding layouts. Even if you never plan to do a wedding album, these layouts can be used to inspire you with photo placement on a page. Sometimes that is the hardest part for me. Think of it as a sketch.

Have a great week!

Family is Forever - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

The lighting outside of the chapel after the ceremony was so amazing. There were some clouds starting to roll in, but it couldn't have been better for the outdoor family pictures.
I kept the layout simple, matting the photos in the same color as the bridesmaids' dresses. The pretty floral was perfect to add a little pizzazz and balance the page, along with the owl embellishment that came with the paper.  I am so happy that my DIL's sweet Grandma was able to be there for the wedding and for this precious photo. Sadly, she has now passed on, but this page will help keep her memory alive.
Are you lovin' this title? I thought it was perfect for the page. I sized it in Design Space to fit the corner of my page and cut it with my Cricut in colors to match the wedding party. I also used my Cricut to write out the quote.
Oh my word, I love owls so much! I know the craze is pretty much over, but I don't care.😍
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a very crafty and productive week!

"Here Comes the Bride" - Two Page Wedding Layout

And...Here comes the beautiful bride! She's a beauty inside and out!
I can't even tell you how hard it was to choose the pictures for this album. They must be super photogenic, because they were all beautiful. The beautiful flower girl is my granddaughter  from my oldest son and daughter-in-love. She is a delight. That dress, though! She is so precious! The boys are nephews of the bride.
I am pleased with how this layout came together. I've had the journalling cards in my stash forever, and they seem to tie this entire layout together. I love the light taupe matting on the pics to help the photos take front and center on the white card stock.  I mixed black and white photos with color all the way through this album. It was a bit of a challenge, but after awhile it came easier to me. In addition to spreading the black and white photos across the pages for balance, I'm kind of anal about making sure the people in the photos are looking towards the center of the page, rather than looking off the edge of the page. Combine those design standards, and I can drive myself a bit crazy with my photo placement. 😜
I took some close ups so you could see more of the details. Aren't they a lovely pair?? I hope I did these photographs justice.
I adore this black and white of the bride. She looks so deep in thought, confident, and ready to tie the knot!! The photo of my son below as she walks down the aisle! He was getting a bit emotional. I love that moment of all weddings, and love to watch the groom's expressions.
So happy to share these layouts with you all. I hope you are enjoying them. Thanks for stopping by.

"Walk this Way" - Two Page Wedding Layout

Sorry for the recent delay in posting. We've been busy hosting Christmas gatherings and putting away all the decorations. It's such a big job! I'm so thankful that my husband is so patient and proactive with it all. I'm not sure what I would do without him. 😍

Now it's time to get back to some more of my son and daughter-in-love's wedding layouts!
As each beautiful pair walked through the doors, I remember the excitement building as everybody waited for the bride to enter!! Oh the feelings I had that day! There was excitement and joy for my son marrying the love of his life, there was shock and amazement that this day could be here already (wasn't he still 5 years old??), and there was raw grief from the loss of my Mom the day before. So many feelings from one end of the spectrum to the other. The joy of the wedding won out for most of the weekend, but I sure had my moments trying to pull myself together.
I had a little fun with the title as I did with many of the layouts from their wedding album. For me, titles add so much, but I know many don't do the title thing. That's okay too.  I matted all of the photos in a crisp white to break up the gold on the page. The strip along the bottom in the color of the the bridesmaids' dresses helps anchor the page. I added some additional banners to bring in the color of the groomsmens' suits, and a few strips of plaid patterned paper to tie it all together.
Thanks for looking! More to come!!

"We Gather Together" - Two Page Wedding Scrapbook Layout

Hope you all enjoyed your holidays! They go way too fast. We are still decorated for Christmas, partially because we have extended family coming to celebrate this weekend. I thought I better get in a quick post before things get crazy with preparations.

This is another wedding layout from my son and daughter-in-love's wedding in the fall of 2017. The pictures are the parents being ushered into the ceremony.
This layout is not one of my favorites for some reason. Well, first of all, I am in it. 😜 Secondly, it's kind of pale, but I do think it works well with the pictures. The title makes it for me. Hope you like it. You know, they can't all be our favorites, right?
I managed to fit 7 pictures on this two pager and still had some room for design elements. Most of the design is part of the patterned paper. I added some decorative tape and a key that I had in my stash. The horizontal tape across the bottom helps to tie the pics together and ground them a bit. The key is just for fun. The chandeliers bring a bit of elegance to the page to highlight this treasured moment in time. The Mom's are highlighted with striped matts and color photos. I used black and white for the rest of the pictures. Do you ever mix black and white photos with color photos on the same layout?
Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you are enjoying these wedding pages! You'll have to come back to see some black chandeliers on a later page in the album. 😍

Family of the Groom - Two Page Wedding Layout

Merry Christmas Eve to you all! I'm continuing to post my son and daughter-in-love's wedding album layouts. They are such a beautiful pair and we are so happy they each found each other!
Here we all are, trying to look cute for our pre-ceremony family photos. I look back and think why did I buy this dress? Oh well, it is what it is and I'm my own worst critic. Everybody else is lovely, though and oh so photogenic.
For this layout I used a mix of wood grain paper and a petite floral. After all, they are wedding photos. The beard, mustache, and tie are quite fun to put with the floral! A little bit of washi tape along the edges of the floral, again, make it a little more manly.
I adore the picture of our grandbabies smooching on their Uncle Jacob! What could be cuter!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are enjoying the wedding album!! It was so fun for me to put together for them.

Family of the Bride - Two Page Family Wedding Layout

I've been so busy with Christmas preparation and appointments that I haven't posted for awhile. Today I'd love to share with you the Family of the Bride layout for my youngest son and Daughter-in-Love's wedding in the fall of 2017.
The left side is the bride's immediate family. Aren't they all so photogenic?? Each of the pictures make me smile.
The upper right picture is us with the lovely bride to be! She's a keeper for the whole family! The journaling block was written with my Cricut. I love to use Bible verses, especially for a wedding.
I love mixing patterned paper like this, especially when I happen upon two different brands in my stash that work not only great together, but with the pictures. I searched Design Space for a shape that would work well with the flourishes on the patterned paper. I was pretty pleased with my find and cut them in a pumpkin color.

Thanks for stopping by. Next up later this week will be the grooms family (us)! Blessings to you all as you are probably scurrying around like me with all of your last minute projects, shopping, baking, wrapping....and enjoying!!

Daddy's Little Girl - Two Page Wedding Layout

Here's a layout of my beautiful daughter-in-love's "sneak peak". She wanted to let her Dad be the first to see her in her dress before the ceremony. It was a very sweet moment for the two of them. I love these photos. She has a very close relationship with her Daddy. What a blessing for both of them!
The left piece of paper is flipped over purposely so the flowers would come down from the top to help frame the photos. I cut out the 3 flowers (bottom left) from another piece of paper in order to have them in both bottom corners as well as the top.  I lined up the pictures in grid format, and used a scalloped border punch around the bottom edge. That's it! Pretty simple.
I cut the title with one of the fonts in Design Space after kerning the letters so they touched and welding each word so that it cut as one word. It's definitely worth the effort.
Hope you like the layout! It's been fun sharing their wedding layouts with you! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Next up with bee the family pics taken before the service.

The Most Handsome Groom - Two Page Wedding Layout

What time is it? It's time to share another wedding layout with you! 😎 This one features my youngest son. Hope you enjoy it!!
I used a wood grain paper for the base and a light washi tape, as well as denim washi.
I'm loving the shoes! Maybe I should have laced them with fine twine, or drawn on some laces. I was afraid that might make them look cheesy, but now I'm wondering.😕
I used a block layout to give it a more masculine look, including some wallet size photos for some variation, and a little bit of masculine patterned paper behind a few of the pictures. I created the title with my Cricut in Design Studio by moving the script letters together and then welding them.
He's a little more serious in these pics, since he's got nobody to clown around with. I think he's a dashing groom, if I do say so myself. This was such a fun scrapbook to make. Beautiful subjects sure make it easy!! 😍

Thanks for stopping by. If you want to see the other posted layouts from their album so far, you can search in the bar at the bottom by "Jacob & Katie", or "wedding". I've been posting them chronologically. These were all taken prior to the ceremony, so there are many more to come.

Have a lovely week!!

"Bride" - Two Page Wedding Layout

As promised, here is the layout of the beautiful bride...my daughter-in-love. We are very proud to have her in the family. She fits right in!!
I tried to keep the focus on the beautiful pictures, but thought the white scraping twine and StampinUp gemstone charm added a nice touch. It's been great to have Design Space for quick and easy titles.
Both of my DIL's invited me to come along shopping for their dresses. I treasured that experience with them, especially as a "Boy Mom".  I'm proud of my boys for choosing their better halves so perfectly! They are an answer to prayers that we prayed over our boys since they were little.
The white brick background paper came from a wedding pack, but the bottom section of paper was actually a beautiful scrap. I used a border punch for the scalloped strip placed on top of the wood washi tape. The title and flowers are from Cricut Design Space.
Thanks for stopping by and listening to me gush on my family!

"Team Groom" - Two Page Wedding Layout

Hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. It's probably my favorite holiday!! We were truly blessed with wonderful family moments and yummy food...If I do say so myself. 😄

It's time to share another wedding layout. Today, it's the boys group photos!
Of course, there will be some silliness with this bunch. They all have fun together, which makes a great photo shoot. I love the mix of fonts on the title which left just enough space for the wood mustache. There is no lack of facial hair, man buns, and long flowing locks on these handsome men.
I used a mix of scrap patterned paper across the middle of the page to anchor the photos, and matted the photos in burgundy to help them pop on the wood grain background. The mustache paper scrap banners were another nod to the facial hair, adding yet another touch of masculinity to the "Team Groom" layout.
Again, I must apologize for the darker yellow look on the left side. I will have to be more careful to have more even lighting next time I photograph my layouts.

Make sure you come back for the next post featuring my daughter-in-love, the beautiful bride! Have a great week!! Stay warm and cozy.

Bride Tribe - Two Page Wedding Layout

Here in NE Indiana we already have some snow on the ground. It snowed 2-3" on Monday, and some of it still lingers on the leaf piles and pumpkins. I'm not a fan of snow this early in the season! I'm still not ready to say goodbye to fall's beautiful array of leaves and all things lovely about the season of  harvest. But, here we are...so I'm learning that I don't get to call the shots in the weather department.

Today I'm sharing another layout from my newly completed album of my youngest son and daughter-in-love's wedding two years ago. It seems like they've been together for so long already! I guess time flies when you're having fun, right?
These young ladies are so lovely! What a beautiful wedding celebration! I really wanted the photos to stand out, so I matted them in a light brown and didn't add a lot of other embellishments. I do love the beautiful floral scrap that tied in all of her colors so nicely. I used a strip on both sides of the page at the bottom to ground the layout, and added some banners on the right. And that title from Design Space...I love how it turned out.
This sweet little one is my precious granddaughter and she loves her new Aunt Katie! She's a lot of sweetness and a little bit of sass.😍 I really enjoy the time I have to bond with her. She loves to get into my crafty world and would love to have her own Cricut! I adore spending this time with her. She definitely has a creative flare! I can't wait to see how she uses that gift down the road.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope your weekend is relaxing and enjoyable!!

"Team Bride" - Two Page Wedding Layout

Hope you all had a fun Halloween. It's not my favorite holiday of the year, but I do enjoy seeing it through the eyes of my grandchildren! We had a fun time trick or treating the neighborhood together. Scarlet was a hippy and Sawyer was a lego, but he already took off his costume before I snapped the pic. Somebody told him Legos can be pretty scary when you're barefoot in the middle of the night.😂 Oh, how I remember....
Fall is slipping into winter so quickly! Yikes! I'm not ready to give it up yet.

Thought I'd share some more of my son and DIL's wedding layouts. Here's a layout featuring the lovely "Bride Tribe". They were so photogenic, it was really hard to choose what pics to feature on the layout.
Above is the right side of the layout. Apparently, I forgot to snap a picture of the left side. Sorry about that, but you can zoom in on the pic below if you want to see it more closely. I used a mixture of both black and white and color photos on most of the layouts in the album. I like the contrast of the black and white!
I kept it simple with 3 banners of different lengths going different directions from my scraps. I used the largest banner on the left to balance out the fewer pictures and to highlight the title. The title could have been a bit bigger, now that I look back at this.😞 The antique round brads are from StampinUp! The paper flowers have been in my stash forever and helped to make the page look more feminine along with the blinged up little bitty butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Stay warm out there!
