Harvest Blessings - Two Page Thanksgiving Scrapbook Layout

Thanksgiving is approaching fast and I'm excited for it! It's one of my favorite holidays, if not "the" favorite. I love the time with family and sharing traditional recipes with them. I want my grandkids to experience all the food and fun!

I'm sharing  a Thanksgiving layout from four years ago. I'm not sure how I skipped these when posting. I have a lot of catching up to do!

I'm not sure which paper collection I used, but it may be from Simple Stories. Love all of these faces around the table. So much has changed, and it's hard sometimes to wrap my brain around it all.
My hubby, the turkey carver extraordinaire! We usually have enough leftovers for a few additional meals. I love that!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Now my mouth is watering for some chocolate pecan pie.

Tourin' the Town - Two Page Scrapbook Page

Here is my second to the last layout for our Wyoming trip! These photos were taken from the restaurant on our last night in Jackson Hole. It was fun to eat right down town.
We had lots of critters eyeing our food!
Do you like using patterned paper? It's my favorite. Sometimes it looks a little busy, but I can deal with that. I just try to break it up with some solids and embellishments. The paper is Recollections and Simple Stories "Happy Trails". The title, journaling and all embellishments were created with my Cricut in Design Space. I don't use stickers very often, but sometimes these little alpha letters are just the ticket.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. One more Wyoming layout to share!

Midway Geyser Basin - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

I'm back with another layout from our Grand Tetons trip. I can't believe this was 4 years ago. I'm very slow to post layouts, but I'm getting it done now!
This layout is from the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone! It was so crowded! It was the middle of Covid and people were trying to get out into nature, even with throngs of others. It didn't bother us, though, because we were outside. It felt normal to be out traveling. It was frustrating to find decent parking, though.
The paper is from Close to My Heart "Timber" and Simple Stories "Color Vibe". I created my own title, skooching the letters together and welding to just have one piece to attach. I'm not sure how we survived the years of attaching separate letters (alpha stickers!) before we could create and design our own titles! It was brutal! The Adventure Outside stamp is from Close to My Heart and was inked with a StampinUp marker.
I used some denim self adhesive washi tape for additional texture. I wish I would have matched the title color to this shade of blue. You know what they say about hindsight...

Thanks for stopping by for my last few layouts from the Grand Teton! Have a great weekend!

The Mountains are Calling - Two Page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Hopping on again to share another travel scrapbook layout from the most beautiful, Jenny Lake, in Wyoming. The scenery is beautiful on it's own without us in the foreground, BUT it's a must to prove we were there, right? 😂

I used patterned paper and wolf card from Heidi Swapp "Wolf Pack" collection, Simple Stories "Happy Trails" woodgrain design, and Close to My Heart "Aurora across the page horizontally. The decorative tape (brand?) is such a simple way to elevate the design of the page. The title and mountain range embellishments are from Design Space along with the journaling. Each photo was matted in blue to help them pop off the patterned paper.

I hope you are inspired by this page in some way! Maybe you'll scrap some of your trips, or maybe you'll plan a future trip to the Tetons! I highly recommend it.

Let's Go Fly a Kite - two page summer scrapbook layout

We just came back from a work trip in Florida.  It was hard to escape the excessive heat and humidity, but it made the pool feel that much more refreshing!

Are you enjoying your summer? It's slipping away quickly.

I decided to take a little break from posting my travel pictures to a summer layout featuring my adorable grands! They're the best. I love that this layout helps me hang on to the memories of this day from 2020.

I love the accents on this page, from the kite to the clouds!
The paper is Simple Stories "We are Family" and Close to My Heart "These are my People", along with some Recollections cardstock.
My favorite part about the page (aside from my beautiful grandchildren) is the simple layout, and the fun embellishments.
We had a great day flying a kite, playing with fairy gardens and Hot Wheels, and soaking up some rays.

Hope you are inspired to be creative today, or to spend some extra time with your grands. Have a fun week!

Remember - One Page Scrapbook Layout

In February, 2021, we made a quick trip to Florida for a double Memorial Service for my treasured Aunt and Uncle who both died from Covid within 9 days of each other. I'm so glad we took the time, and used some of our travel points to be there with our beloved family!! I hadn't seen some of my cousins in years. Hopefully the next time we get together it will be for a cousin reunion or something more fun! However, I know my Aunt and Uncle would have been pleased to see us gathering together in their honor. They were beautiful people, who loved their family well and lived a beautiful life together. They are dearly missed by all who were blessed enough to know them!

Here's one page layout of a few pictures we took during the Memorial Service.

Not only did they love their family, but they loved each other dearly and set such a great example of loving each other through thick and thin!
I used the lovely paper from Simple Stories "Heart". It was absolutely perfect for this occasion. I layered up some of the ephemera, stickers and embellishments to accent the beautiful photos of my sweet cousins, and my Aunt and Uncle. The dark black with the gold hearts was a nice anchor for the other coordinating patterned paper. The gold metallic accents were a nice touch. The large "remember" sticker made a perfect, and easy, title for the page.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It was a super quick trip to sunny Florida, but I have a few more layouts to share with you later this week from our sunny visit. Be sure to stop back!

Wander - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

We were able to blend business and pleasure with this trip to Michigan in summer of 2020. Each year, I need to update one of my insurance designations and when I see the class offered in northern Michigan, it's a no-brainer! The conference was at a quaint resort in Boyne Highland. My husband was able to go explore, while I was in class all day. Lucky guy not having to endure the classes.

I had a fun new pack of paper to use from Simple Stories called "Simple Vintage - Great Escape". It's chock-full of mushrooms, ferns and other woodsy type paper and stickers.
I love how realistic the artwork is and the beautiful natural color scheme. I just kept layering things up using the map side as a strip along the outside edges and flipping the paper to make banners from the woodsy plant side. This set of paper is gorgeous and if you take pictures outdoors, you must have it!
I used a few pops of red to accent the red roofline of the conference center and a title made of Kraft paper.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I always love to hear your comments if you have anything to share with me. Happy crafting!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Key Largo"

We're wrapping up the holiday season. Hope your Christmas was lovely and full of love!

I'm itching to share the layouts from our 30th anniversary trip to Key West! I think it's time to see some warm layouts.

We flew into Miami and rented a vehicle to drive through the Keys. Our first night was, obviously, in Key Largo.
We had a great meal at Skipper's Dockside. It had just finished raining lightly, but we were able to eat outside under the canopy. Their key lime pie was, by far, our favorite on the entire trip! The crust made it really special!
But you're probably not here to read about my pie experiences... This layout was really simple with so many of the embellishments already on the paper from Simple Stories. I simply matted some pictures, and added them tot he page. I used Washi tape on some of them to continue the look of the Simple Stories paper.
Hope you will stop by and see more from our Key West trip. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Just Chillin"

Some of our best times are just hanging out for our designated family night, which is usually Sunday evening. We share something yummy for dinner and then hang out together and play with the kiddos.
We take turns going to my oldest son's home or having everybody under our tiny roof. I think these pictures are from a few different occasions January/February 2015. Why didn't I date it??
The paper is from Simple Stories "Snow Fun". The font and snowflakes are from Cricut's Art Philosophy, along with some stickers from Simple Stories. I love the white American Craft ball fringe and rhinestones to accent the snowflakes.
I love these crazy people we call family!! It's such a blessing to realize that my husband and I expanded our family with our two boys, and now they've both chosen that special lady in their life, and we also have two grandchildren. The two of us have become eight! I just can't wait to see what the future holds for these precious little ones!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Pier 39"

Another San Francisco "must see" is Pier 39. We strolled in and out of the shops, nibbled on amazing mini powdered sugar donuts, watched the seals sun bathing, and people watched.
We also experienced our first In and Out burger on the way! Yummo...we were starving.
Check out the picture of my husband as he was buying a bag of Trish's mini donuts!!! This photo cracks me up. Can you see him? He's the only person facing my direction. :)
The paper is again from Simple Stores "Life Documented". The title font is Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook, along with alpha letters from October Afternoon. The other embellies are from Studio G and Studio Calico.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I have two more layouts to post from San Francisco, and then we'll be on to the beautiful Pacific Coast Hwy (aka Big Sur). See you soon!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Golden Gate"

She's a beauty!! You must check her out from a few different angles. Depending on the time of day, and your angle, the amazing Golden Gate bridge can look completely different, but always beautiful. This was our first view of her.
I do love the way the sun was gleaming from behind and slightly under the bridge.
The paper is Simple Stores "Life Documented". Love the wood grain camera on the paper. I didn't have to do much extra embellishing. I hand cut the banners at the top and used my EK Border circles punch to tie them all together. Easy Peasey. I believe the title font was cut with Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook.
Are you enjoying the California layouts? I'm reliving it all by posting them. Hope you will stop back again soon as I share the rest.
