Joyful, Merry and Blessed - Two Page Christmas Scrapbook layout

I just returned from a five day Scrapbooking retreat! It's a crazy time of year to be away from home, but how wonderful to have a break from the craziness of Christmas preparation. I took some time to do Christmas cards and finished up some pages from our trip to Florida for a conference on travel that I attended. Mainly, I chatted with friends and it did my heart good!

Time to share a few more Christmas layouts. I don't have a lot of time for a long post, so I'm going to throw them out here for you and not say a lot. I don't love scrapbooking Christmas pictures. They always seem kind of busy and they look the same to me after a few layouts, but I do them anyway. Every Christmas is different and you never know when you might lose a loved one.
This layout is from our annual "after Christmas" get together with our beloved extended family. We have so much fun together. I feel blessed that we actually enjoy each other's company.

I hope you are inspired to scrap your family Christmas photos! I will try to post a few more throughout the end of the year and maybe into January. There are so many more to share!

Remember - One Page Scrapbook Layout

In February, 2021, we made a quick trip to Florida for a double Memorial Service for my treasured Aunt and Uncle who both died from Covid within 9 days of each other. I'm so glad we took the time, and used some of our travel points to be there with our beloved family!! I hadn't seen some of my cousins in years. Hopefully the next time we get together it will be for a cousin reunion or something more fun! However, I know my Aunt and Uncle would have been pleased to see us gathering together in their honor. They were beautiful people, who loved their family well and lived a beautiful life together. They are dearly missed by all who were blessed enough to know them!

Here's one page layout of a few pictures we took during the Memorial Service.

Not only did they love their family, but they loved each other dearly and set such a great example of loving each other through thick and thin!
I used the lovely paper from Simple Stories "Heart". It was absolutely perfect for this occasion. I layered up some of the ephemera, stickers and embellishments to accent the beautiful photos of my sweet cousins, and my Aunt and Uncle. The dark black with the gold hearts was a nice anchor for the other coordinating patterned paper. The gold metallic accents were a nice touch. The large "remember" sticker made a perfect, and easy, title for the page.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It was a super quick trip to sunny Florida, but I have a few more layouts to share with you later this week from our sunny visit. Be sure to stop back!

Christmas Past - Two Page Scrapbook Layouts

I'm behind on photographing my most recent layouts. This is something I have on my "to do" list while I'm off for the holidays. For now, though, I'd like to reshare some of my favorite Christmas layouts from years past.

These are the sweet little faces of our grand babies helping us find just the right tree. I love that the whole family joins in the fun! I also love the non-traditional Christmas colors of this layout.
Below are pics from one of our extended family gatherings! We always have so much fun together. Presents, games, food and time spent together is the BEST! We feel so blessed to have family that we love to spend time with.
Christmas layouts can be so overwhelming for me. So many pictures, colors and distractions in all of the photos!! I just went with it below and used a lot of wallet size photos scattered randomly. The mainly black background helped tone down all the color, so that I could accentuate it with the title and embellishments. This is my crazy tribe celebrating in our old house for the last time!! :)
Below are my three boys!! I love them dearly! They are especially proud of their facial hair at this time of year. I think they are handsome with or without it! Definitely crazy, but always handsome!
This layout below done in a "Brady Bunch" style grid, is my most pinned Christmas layout on Pinterest.  It was so fun! The 2x2 square photos made space for lots of memories.
Below is another extended family layout which I love, including the family photo shoot with all of us in plaid shirts. I still love the title which I actually dreamed up before we even took the photos!!
Well that is it for my layouts of Christmas past!! Hope you enjoyed! Have a blessed Christmas time with your family! Be sure to take lots of pictures!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Pool Time"

As promised, here's my pool layout. 😀 We have so much fun together! This pool looks so inviting right now with the heat wave we've had going on. Guess we need our own pool. 😎

These pictures are from time with our extended family in Michigan two summers back. We don't get to see our TX family very often, so it's always a special time together when they are able to join in the fun.
Doesn't this look inviting? I used some fun patterned paper for the title to jazz up the plain background. The washi tape and white puffy clouds seemed like the perfect addition. I doodled around the edges of the clouds and sun with a white gel pen. The center of the sun is popped out with dimensionals.
These pictures are from two years ago and so much has changed since then. It is so bittersweet to see them all grow up. My youngest son wasn't even married yet in these pictures, my Mom was still alive, and my youngest grandchild wasn't even in pre-school yet. Time sure does fly!!
Feeling super blessed by my family!! Hope you enjoyed checking out my pool layout. Thanks for stopping by!
