Adventure - Two page Travel Scrapbook Layout

Here's another layout from our Grant Tetons trip in Wyoming (2020). Every day was such a beautiful adventure for us!

There is so much wildlife to see in their natural habitat! And the landscape itself is something to behold.
Simple clouds and sun were an easy add to the page. Actually, the sun all the way behind the clouds would have been more accurate for this particular day. 😕

The stamps are the Close to My Heart "Aurora" set. Instructions are given to cut the paper in the right size to frame the stamp. Love this!  I used the CTMH Sapphire ink pad, and also cut a slightly larger mat. The Sapphire ink pad must have been nice and juicy and it came our really bright. I used the square punch (Creative Memories) to cut around the antler stamp. I journaled with my Cricut in Design Space and placed a bracket shape around it, attached and cut/wrote all at the same time, and placed a larger mat to frame the journaling.
The paper is Heidi Swapp "Wolf Pack". The photo corner punch (StampinUp!)  is what actually makes the page for me. It's funny how one little element can be a game-changer.

I really love the plaid with the birch bark paper. The navy mountains were also cut in Design Space to sit on top of the plaid and create a place for my title.
I really like this layout, and LOVE the green and blue together, especially the plaid. I certainly could have layered additional embellishments around the pics, stamps and journaling, but I didn't want to cover up all the pretty paper. 😂

Have a great weekend! I hope to share some more layouts with you next week.

Sunny Days - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Sunny days in Michigan are my favorite!! The lake and sky are so beautiful. We wish we could afford to have a place up there and rent it out part of the time. I mean why not? They make it look so doable on HGTV!! Unfortunately, it always take some money to make some money.

These photos were taken at a lakeside park in Traverse City.

I love all of the sunny colors on this layout. The chevron patterned paper started the color party, with the yellow photo matts running a close second. Cricut journaling is so much more legible than my own handwriting. I wish that weren't the case, but it is very true.

As I look back at this layout, I think of more that I might have added and possibly some pops of black, but I'm still proud of it and hope you are inspired in some way by it.

Have a lovely week!

This is Life - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Vacations are the best! Who wouldn't wish to be on vacation all the time? Obviously, not a very realistic dream, but they tell me there is this thing called retirement which will be coming some time. The older we get, the more we look forward to enjoying each day to the fullest and not having a daily alarm and work schedule.

Here's a another sunny layout from our Lake Michigan long weekend getaway in September 2018.

Most of the paper is We R Memory Keepers. I had fun finding some Cricut images to add to the page. Probably could have added some more things, but the paper itself had a lot going on.
What a beautiful day! Not a cloud in the sky, and that beach!! It was a little bit chilly, but who cares with a view like this!
These pics could probably be taken anywhere on Michigan's west coast, but I believe this was in Holland while we were there with Mark's siblings.
Matching paper makes it so easy to layer up a layout. Everything matches and you really can't go wrong.

Hope this brings a little sunshine to your day!

Ioa Valley - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Layout

Hawaii is one of those places that will take your breath away around every corner. Iao Valley Rainforest was so beautiful and lush!! We took so many pictures, but for the sake of keeping our entire trip in one album, I only picked a few for a two page layout.

The green foliage, white puffy clouds, and bright blue sky were so beautiful, it was hard to take it all in at once!! You could feel the humidity in the air, after all it is a rain forest. It was so pristine and beautifully kept up.
All of this paper came in one beautiful tropical stack. I think I used most of it for my Hawaii album. I love using a paper pack because they all pair together so well, it's hard to go wrong.
I cut some puffy clouds, and a layered sun, and added some ombre teal decorative tape with gold hearts. Seven full size pictures (digital size) was a good fit for the page, but they still don't do justice to the views.
We enjoyed our walk through the rain forest, and if we ever get back to Maui, we will definitely visit again.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Pool Time"

As promised, here's my pool layout. 😀 We have so much fun together! This pool looks so inviting right now with the heat wave we've had going on. Guess we need our own pool. 😎

These pictures are from time with our extended family in Michigan two summers back. We don't get to see our TX family very often, so it's always a special time together when they are able to join in the fun.
Doesn't this look inviting? I used some fun patterned paper for the title to jazz up the plain background. The washi tape and white puffy clouds seemed like the perfect addition. I doodled around the edges of the clouds and sun with a white gel pen. The center of the sun is popped out with dimensionals.
These pictures are from two years ago and so much has changed since then. It is so bittersweet to see them all grow up. My youngest son wasn't even married yet in these pictures, my Mom was still alive, and my youngest grandchild wasn't even in pre-school yet. Time sure does fly!!
Feeling super blessed by my family!! Hope you enjoyed checking out my pool layout. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrapbook Layout - "Sunset Views"

Here's a layout from our trip to Northern Michigan last year. The sun was setting while we travelling up the coast, so we stopped at the nearest harbor we could find to catch the last rays fading behind the horizon.

It was a gorgeous night! I'd never heard of Bowers Harbor until that day, but it was beautiful!
I love the silhouettes of my son looking out towards the lake. This was his last vacation with us as a single guy. He's getting married next month! We hope to take a trip there with our kids, their spouses and our grandchildren in the next few years.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Mallory Square"

Are you longing for some warmth and a beautiful sunset? Maybe this will help. Just looking at the colors in this layout brightens my dreary day.
Key West was the destination for our 30th anniversary trip December, 2015. We had such a great time and are so blessed to be able to take time away together. Mallory Square is the spot where Key West tourists and locals go to watch the sunset. They have a nice shopping area, ice cream, street performers, and people watching. Our hotel was quite close. It's also where the cruise ships dock. We got some awesome fresh guacamole from one of the \vendors in the square. They made it right in front of us...Oh man...It was great, and I'm not a big fan of guac!
I have no idea the brand of this lovely paper. I typically make notes on the back of the supplies I've used on the layouts, but alas, I forgot on to do so here.
I used the StampinUp bitty banner punch for the banner along the bottom, and freehanded the two longer banners, and topped them with a brad.
Hope you can feel the warmth of the sun and the colors on this layout. It's pretty cold and dreary here in Indiana. It's actually been raining. Normally we have snow and ice in January, but I'm not going to complain. Thanks for stopping by! Now I want guacamole!

Two Double Layouts: "Sunny Outlook" and "You & Me"

What a great Sunday I'm having. Our youngest son sang on the worship team at church, and our oldest son, his wife, and our new grandbaby surprised us by showing up!!! I love those kinds of surprises!!! He works Sundays, but took the day off so he could be at church for his brother's last day to serve on the worship team before heading back to BSU. We are so blessed by our kids, especially now that they are young adults. They never cease to amaze me!! It has to be God's doing, because Mark and I couldn't have raised them to be so awesome by ourselves...Trust me on that!

We haven't had much of a chance to get away together this year. This layout is from a long weekend getaway to Lake Michigan last summer. This is our youngest son who will be a sophomore at BSU this year. We took turns behind the camera.

Apparently I forgot to write down the supplies that are used here, but I know the yellow paper and the paper with the large polk-a-dots is StampinUp. I cut a circle for the sun with my Circut, but cut my own freehand triangles for the rays.

The title was cut on my Circut and I used matching buttons on the "o's". I dated it with my new Smashbox date stamp.

Then it was our son's turn behind the camera and he shot some of me and my hubby. The papers here are Bazill cardstock and StampinUp "Sweet Pea" stack. The orange tape is "Great Escape" from We R Memory keepers.
The "Fabulous" tag is from Smashbox and the layered up flowers were cut with Art Philosophy cartridge, plus a few fabric flowers I bought at the store.
I added some additional journalling around the edge of the mat.
Here's a couple close ups of the flowers.

Thanks for looking at my blog!! Have a happy Monday.
