Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "I Left My Heart in San Francisco"

Our last views of San Francisco were the mighty Golden Gate bridge. This time we viewed it from Bakers Beach and Fort Point.

 What a fun and beautiful destination!!! I hope we will be back some day.

 The paper is "Trend Setter" from Fancy Pants along with the button and banners. The title font is Lyrical Letters.

I will probably throw in some miscellaneous family posts before I continue with our California Dreamin' vacation album. Hope you will stop back to see the rest of our trip down the Pacific Coast Highway, the Sequoias, Hollywood, and San Diego.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Cable Car"

The iconic San Francisco cable cars!! Need I say more. We waited in line for an hour and a half, but it was worth the wait to check this off my bucket list.

 Part of the wait involved the cable car system being down for repair, but the rest was just a mass of humanity wanting to take their turn. It was fascinating watching them turn around slowly at the end of the road. I was praying nobody would fall out as we went up the steep hills. The views from the top were amazing too.

 I struggled with my color choices on this layout! Not sure what I was thinking actually. I'm still not sure about it, but I dislike it less than I did.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Pier 39"

Another San Francisco "must see" is Pier 39. We strolled in and out of the shops, nibbled on amazing mini powdered sugar donuts, watched the seals sun bathing, and people watched.

 We also experienced our first In and Out burger on the way! Yummo...we were starving.

 Check out the picture of my husband as he was buying a bag of Trish's mini donuts!!! This photo cracks me up. Can you see him? He's the only person facing my direction. :)

The paper is again from Simple Stores "Life Documented". The title font is Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook, along with alpha letters from October Afternoon. The other embellies are from Studio G and Studio Calico.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Golden Gate"

She's a beauty!! You must check her out from a few different angles. Depending on the time of day, and your angle, the amazing Golden Gate bridge can look completely different, but always beautiful. This was our first view of her.

 I do love the way the sun was gleaming from behind and slightly under the bridge.

 The paper is Simple Stores "Life Documented". Love the wood grain camera on the paper. I didn't have to do much extra embellishing. I hand cut the banners at the top and used my EK Border circles punch to tie them all together. Easy Peasey. I believe the title font was cut with Cricut's Plantin Schoolbook.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Lombard Street"

When we were planning our California trip, we knew we had very limited time in San Francisco, and wanted to fit in as much as possible. We rented a vehicle, so I was super excited to check out the famous Lombard Street known for it's sharp zig-zag path on a hill.

 Look at that view from the top! The hair pin turns were a little harrowing because the street is super narrow. Everybody drives super slow with cameras hanging out the windows of their cars. It doesn't last too long, but the experience is totally worth it.

 The paper is Basic Grey "Out of Print" layered with a muted green chevron print from another stack. Cricut's Lyrical Letters 2 worked well for the titles (two different styles) which were tied together visually with the teal velvet circle border tape.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Road Trip"

Last year we took an amazing trip to California. We took so many great pictures, that I decided the trip deserved it's own album.

We flew from Fort Wayne to San Francisco, but the main event was a business trip in San Diego. We rented a vehicle in San Francisco in order to really get out and see the area.

 The hills of San Francisco are no joke...and neither is the traffic, but it was fun to get the lay of the land and develop a plan for the next day. We were only in San Francisco a day and a half, so we had to make use of every minute.

 The paper is Pink Paislee "Indigo Bleu" and MME "Cut and Paste". The chipboard, journaling tag, and shiny elements are also from Cut and Paste. The title is from Cricut's "Going Places" cartridge.
