Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Go Blue"

We are originally from Michigan, and we are true blue University of Michigan fans. My husband sometimes gets free tickets from work which makes him a very happy man. He loves the game and the time with his sons, friends, or whoever he decides to bring with him.
As you can tell this was a colder game in November of 2014. They look a little cold, but they still had a great time watching Michigan beat Indiana.
I used a bunch of scraps for the embellishments on this page. This is one reason I save my scraps. Sometimes they will give me the inspiration I need for the page. Normally I wouldn't have used green for  U of M page, but the striped piece had green, so I thought, why not? You can only have so many maize and blue pages, right?

Thanks again for stopping by my blog.

Two Page layout - "Big House"

I'm not a huge fan of watching sports on TV, but I occasionally will watch college football. Even better when we get the opportunity to actually go to a game. Last year, we were lucky enough to get tickets to see University of Michigan in the "Big House". It's a whole different atmosphere when you are right there in the middle of all of the hype!

It was a treat to have our boys there with us. The weather was great and the Wolverines actually won this game!! They've had a rough couple of seasons.
The ruler canvas tape is from Little Yellow Bicycle and the title font is Cricut's Birthday Bash. The football was cut with Sport's Mania. The lovely ticket banner is from Recollections.
Goooo Blue!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Team Spirit"

Here is another BSU football layout from last fall. Go Cardinals! Chirp Chirp!!

BSU won with the help of the amazing Charlie Cardinal keeping the team spirits high!
I love the various colors of blue stars on this green paper!! The team colors are red and white, but who says you can't branch out a little and use some other complimentary colors?

This was a super simple layout using a grid with Washi tape leading the way across the page. The red ruler tape is so fitting for football in addition to the grid paper. Thanks for stopping by my blog again. Enjoy your week.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Love My Team"

Where has the time gone!?! September is almost over and fall (my favorite!!!) is definitely in the air. It's time to break out the back to school, homecoming, and football layouts!

Last fall was my son's Junior year in college. We had fun with him at BSU on parent weekend. The bright colors always make a fun scrapbook page.
This Creative Memories cardstock was a nice back drop for the vibrant pictures.
Here's a close up of the upper left detail complete with red washi ruler tape and dry embossed banners.
The game is always entertaining and the weather was perfect!
Do you use many stick pins on your pages? I sometimes forget I have them, but I like the extra detail this star pin adds to the title.
It's hard to believe that my baby has grown up and is already into his senior year! How and when did this happen?? I know every Momma feels this way...He's such a great kid and we are so very proud of the young man he has become.

Come back Thursday for another college football layout!

Two double layouts - "2 Years" and "We Love our Charlie"

Where does the time go? My oldest son and beautiful daughter-in-law just celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary, and my youngest son is heading off for his Junior year in college! Time just keeps flying along, doesn't it?

In honor of my great kids, I have a couple of layouts to share with you today. First up, is a two page layout featuring pictures of my son and daughter-in-law a year ago on their 2nd anniversary.
Aren't they cute! We are so proud of them! The patterned paper and paper banner are Basic Grey's "Clippings" and Little Yellow Bicycle. My scrappy friend got me this collection for my birthday and I've had a lot of fun with it. I adore the banners!!
The title is Cricut's "Plantin Schoolbook" (an oldie but a goodie) and the heart is from "Sweethearts". I love these kids and their goofiness.
In honor of my youngest going back to BSU, here's a layout of pictures from the football game on parent weekend last October. Isn't he cute?? He's the tall one with the great teeth!
I had a lot of great pictures to fit on these pages, so I kept it simple with black and red matting, a few embellishments like the red washi tape, and a little snip-it of ribbon. It was breast cancer awareness week, so I added a little dash of pink since there was so much of it in the photos.
As always, family weekend and the football game were tons of fun. I'm sure we'll be down there again this year snapping more photos.
Here are the two pages together! Go Cardinals..."Chirp-Chirp"!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a great weekend!!

Family Weekend at BSU - 2 page scrapbook layout

Hello! It's Thursday, already! I've been so busy at my day job lately there just hasn't been much time for blogging. I've missed it...Thought I'd post one of my favorite recent layouts today. My youngest son, Jacob, is in his first year at Ball State University this year. It's been hard having him away!!! It's only an hour from here to there, but we don't just jump in the car and drive down there on a whim. He is really enjoying his college experience and making us very proud.

In September, we attended family weekend at BSU! We had a lot of fun! We spent the night at a nearby hotel and just spent time together.  This page features pictures from the football game. I love the color scheme!!

 Here's the left side.
That's our oldest son and daughter-in-law pictured with my husband. She is newly pregnant, so we'll be first time grandparents next May or June!!! Exciting!! It was so great they could join us for the weekend. Our kids are pretty close, so I don't think he would have missed this time to be with his brother for anything.

Here's the right side featuring the college man himself sporting his red hat and scruffy beard! LOL!
I hid some of the journalling here in a flap behind one of the pictures. As you can see, the clips turn allowing the flap to be lifted. I will definitely do this again because it was so stinkin easy.

Here's a closeup of the triple layered title which I popped up.  I love the way the tiny red sticker letters coordinate with the colors and graph paper.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great crafty week!
