Two page Scrapbook Layout - "Family Dinner"

I remember this dinner like it was yesterday. I'm probably still carrying around some extra pounds from it. We were celebrating together with an "end of summer" dinner before my youngest son went back to college. He's pictured here in plaid with his sweet girlfriend (now wife).
I made baked Hawaiian  Ham Sandwiches, corn on the cobb and the most amazing strawberry shortcake ever. I sliced raised glazed donuts and topped them with strawberries and REAL whipped cream. OH.MY.GOSH! I blame Pinterest!
I get a little nostalgic looking at these pictures from our old house. We moved in there when I was pregnant with my oldest...just a little two bedroom home that we tried our best to fill with love and laughter as we raised our two boys. At the end of last year we sold it and moved into a brand new home that we designed ourselves! It's been fun and we LOVE our new place, but I still get a little sappy when I see pics from that place. So many memories that we will always carry with us. So many fun family dinners on that little screened in porch!
Hope you are all enjoying the last days of summer!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Family by Chance..."

A few years back we set some time aside for a sibling getaway weekend with my husband's siblings. We had a great time together. We stayed up all night playing games and talking. Here's  a scrapbook layout of some of our time together.

If you saw my post from Monday, you'll recognize some of these as the photo that our boys decided to re-enact with their spouses. So funny!
These are some of my favorite humans! We love each other in spite of our faults and irritations.
Looking back at these pics from a few years ago, makes me want to frame a few of these for our guest bedroom. They turned out well!
Love the woodgrain paper with the honeycomb pattern. It reflects the mix of our personalities quite well! The little alphabet stickers are perfect for making a long title take up less space on the page. I try to emphasize the most important words and fill in with the letter stickers.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!! Have an inspired and crafty day!

Two Page Scrabook Layout - "Dream Job"

Hello! Today I'm posting one of the last few scrapbook layouts from my California trip last June.

Have I mentioned that I love my paying job? Well, of course, there are many duties and days that are not my favorite, but overall, I truly love what I do each day. This layout is about one of the fun parts of my job....travelling and meeting planning!
I help plan our company's agent and incentive trips. This agent trip is what brought my husband and I to California for this wonderful and amazing experience. The above pictures are from the welcome night on the patio at our beautiful hotel in SanDiego. After spending weeks and weeks planning out all of the details, it was a blast to see it all play out and watch our agents enjoy themselves and build deeper relationships with each other and our company.
Our agent spouses have developed long time friendships and enjoy their time together. We planned a mini spa morning and made bookmarks for the stacks of books our group donated to underprivileged children in the San Diego area.
Hope you enjoyed a little window into the fun (and very stressful) part of my job! It was a wonderful trip! There was actually very little time to take pictures of the "work" part of my trip, but I think I have one more layout of a bike tour on Coronado Island. Check back in a few days to see it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!

Screamin for ice cream after a day at Silver Lake

Hope everybody is having a great day and is looking forward to a fabulous weekend. It's my birthday! I'm having an extra special day! For now, I'm forgetting about the getting older part of birthdays and going straight to the fun part...family time!

I've been away from my blog for a few days while I was in Denver for a conference. It was a great trip, but it went way too fast. I wish I could have seen more of Denver and less of the inside of a classroom, if you know what I mean.

I missed my blogging while I was gone. I'm actually running a little dry on things to post. When, oh when, do I get to scrap again???? Hopefully next weekend!! I can't wait!

For now, I'm going to post a cute layout of vacation photos taken after a day at Silver Lake, Michigan. We found the cutest little place on our way back from the lake. We had ice cream at Bubba's. We had such a nice time chillin' out together.

The pictures were screamin' for blue and red, so here's what I came up with.

There were birds nesting in a birdhouse right near our table. We had a great time watching them and my hubs got some great pictures. I love the little letter stickers that help spell out my sub-title. Have you ever heard the little saying "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream?" We used to chant that all the time when I was young! I used Cricut cartridge "Lyrical Letters" for the large title (SCREAM).
Love the pictures of Mark sucking on a lemon. Wish the photos had turned out a little brighter, though. You can also see the paper "ribbon" that I folded accordion style here.
Thanks for reading my blog!! Have a wonderful weekend.
