Celebrate - Two Page Hawaii Layout

We always try to end our agent trips with a spectacular, memorable event. Something they wouldn't likely be able to experience on their own. Our final gala dinner event was at the Iolani Palace! What an extraordinary venue!! Unfortunately, it rained and rather than dining in the open air courtyard, we had to rent a huge tent. It was still very beautiful and special!
We used peacock feathers, white roses, and beautiful textured tablecloths for decor. The evening's dress code was sophisticated Black & White!! Everybody participated and showed up looking fabulous! I was able to save one of the menus and peacock feathers. Unfortunately, the real feathers didn't fare so well on the flight, so I made my own.
It was super hot and humid (along with the rain) that night, so I looked pretty "moist" to say the least. Some how the picture of us still turned out okay.
The silver shimmer paper seemed perfect to highlight our special event. I was able to fit several photos on the page and still have enough room for the peacock feather embellishments and menu. I'm not sure if you can tell from the pic, but I covered the feathers with Wink of Stella for a little bit of glimmer. I didn't want to add another color as a shadow to the title, so I used vellum, which ended up looking like a real light gray...the perfect see through shadow.
This is the last layout of the "work" portion of our trip! Next, I'll be sharing a bunch of layouts from our vacation time together in Maui. Hope you will come back and check them out!

Tropical Bouquets - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Layout

Did I mention we had a LOT of rain during our trip to Hawaii. It didn't dampen our spirits too much, though. This layout features pictures from our spouse event. We had a group come in with tropical flowers and teach us how to put together bouquets. We then donated the bouquets to local nursing homes. The ladies seemed to enjoy their time together. And look at these fabulous flowers!
We had spouses lined up at tables in the open air hallway, as well as in the meeting room. So thankful for our time together! The event was planned during the agent's training time to give the spouses a chance to get to know each other and have something to do while their spouses were busy. I was taking pictures in all of the training break out rooms as well as the spouse event.
The paper I chose is from a tropical stack that are basically tone-on-tone patterns. This made it easy to start with an uncluttered look and then add my embellishments. This journalling tag has been lurking in my stash waiting for tropical pics!! I like how it looks on here, even though it's from a different manufacturer.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!

Little Circle Island Tour - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Layout

Our first day of touring with the agents was amazing! So many beautiful views. We took so many pictures. Then around the corner was a view even more amazing.
The tree in the upper right corner was one of the most beautiful trees I've every seen. The shape, the angle, the stone wall in the foreground...it was so cool! I'm not a photographer, so I probably didn't do it justice. On the page below, the upper right picture was taken at Hanauma Bay Lookout. Can you see all the little people down there? We never got down to that beach, but I'm sure it was every bit as beautiful at beach level.
The different colors in the water were just breathtaking. The views made for way better pictures than our selfie, but we had to capture the moment. We were just so blessed to take this trip together and will treasure all the memories with coworkers and agent family!
Hope you will come back as I share my Hawaii layouts! I have lots more to show you. Have a blessed week!

Royal Hawaiian - Two Page Hawaii Scrapbook Page

Summer weather is upon us, and I hope you are enjoying a little more freedom to get out and enjoy the days. Here in northeast Indiana, things are getting somewhat back to "normal". We're living in crazy times, and it really makes me want to get away on a nice vacation! Hawaii maybe? I wish I could go again... right now...but I will have to settle for the memories from last year.

These pictures are from our first morning at the Royal Hawaiian. The Hubs and I got our first chance to check out the grounds in daylight. We enjoyed a nice breakfast together, and then got down to business with pre-program meetings and pulling together the final details for the rest of the group that would be arriving throughout the day.
I love this super distressed paper with these pictures. It looks like old paint, pulled back showing older wood beneath. The decorative travel tape and ticket stub ephemera added a little bit of detail, along with the palm trees.
I tried so hard to find the perfect font for the title that would resemble the hotel sign. This is as close as I could get in Design Studio. It took several tries to get it to cut properly since the font was so skinny where the letters were merged and welded together. But, I finally got it!
I hope this layout inspires you to scrapbook, create, or maybe book a trip to somewhere tropical!! Have a great day! I have lots more Hawaii layouts to share.

A Royal Arrival - Two Page Hawaii Layout

I'm ready for some super sunshiny warm weather. How about you? I think it's time to share some of my Hawaii layouts from our amazing trip last year. It was part work trip, part vaca for us and 100% amazing!  Let's start at the beginning with our arrival!!
One of the perks of my job is to help plan our agent incentive trips. What an amazing blessing this has been for us. Especially Hawaii! We were there 10 years ago, so were super excited to go again.

We had quite a delay in our home town airport, so by the time we arrived in Honolulu it was after 10:30 pm Hawaii time. But because our travel partners are so good to me, they still had their car ready to transfer us to the hotel...the Royal Hawaiian (aka Pink Palace). What a beautiful place!! Unfortunately, you can tell how tired we were from the pictures. Tired, but super excited!!
We received beautiful leis, chocolate covered strawberries, and beverage cups. Aren't those strawberries almost too cute to eat?
I think this gorgeous patterned paper was perfect for the photos. I matted the photos on black, added a row of pink decorative tape, and cut leaf outlines to tuck in behind some of the pictures. The leaf outline echos the leaves in the patterned paper. Of course, after I was finished with the layout, I decided to add the little pink crown to the title. You can see it better in the top picture. I thought it was appropriate since we felt like King and Queen! I added a little spark with some Wink of Stella.
I hope you come back as I share more of our amazing adventures. We're just getting started. 😎

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Bar Harbor Inn"

Our trip to Bar Harbor was more business than pleasure. I plan our offsite meeting for the company i work for, so occasionally I get to tag along and make sure things go as planned. As fun as it is to travel and see new places, I get a little stressed about the responsibilities that go along with it. This was a fairly low stress meeting. We stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn, and we enjoyed it immensely.
The view from the inn was pretty amazing. We arrived in the dark so couldn't see much until morning. I came down for the meeting, walked into the restaurant which has a full view of the harbor and was stunned by the eerie, yet amazing, view with the fog that had settled in around the harbor. I will never forget that amazing first glimpse!
Now about the layout...Once again I will say how much I love to mix patterned paper. I like how the colors and patterns play nicely together. I added a few rustic elements with the hand stamped blue banners on each side, the pine trees, and the purchased mini banner.
Here's a close up of the journaling and the embellishments. Do you like to mat with colored card stock? I don't always think about it, but I like the way it turned out.
More from Bar Harbor coming up soon! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Blessed"

It sure feels like fall today! Fall is my favorite, for sure, but it's barely September. The crisp air puts me in the mood to share some of my layouts from Bar Harbor, Maine.
I found these cute little cork embellies that worked nicely on the page with the tone on tone animal print paper.
There is no place more beautiful then Bar Harbor in the fall!!! The weather was still very nice and views went on forever at Arcadia National Park.
Hope you will stop by tomorrow for more layouts of our trip to Maine!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Isla Verde Beach"

Have any of you been to Puerto Rico. There are some beautiful spots. Our hotel was on Isla Verde Beach...an amazing location. This is why I picked this place for our meeting location.
This is the view from the deck of the restaurant where we ate each morning.
If you've never been to Puerto Rico, you should maybe check it out sometime.
This is a super easy layout with mainly washi tape for embellishment. I try to use some wallets when I have so many pictures to fit on a layout.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "California"

Southern California is one of my favorite destinations. I've been three times and each time is a new experience!

Enjoy this beachy layout and try to hear the waves crashing in!
We are blessed to be able to visit so many great destinations, even if most of the time the trips are work related.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Bike Hike"

This is the second to the last layout from our California trip last summer. We hosted a bike tour on Coronado Island with a few of the agents who were on the agent trip.
What a beautiful day we had! I picked a cruiser bike and it was a pretty comfortable 10 miles with only a few hills here and there. We took some great pictures along the way, and had great fellowship with our agent friends.
Beautiful sites to see at every stop. The paper, paper clip embellishment, and letter stickers are Fancy Pants "Down by the Shore". The title font is from Lyrical Letters 2 and the bike is cut from Going Places.
Hope you are enjoying looking at my California trip album as much as I've enjoyed sharing this trip of a lifetime with you! There's one final "sweet" layout to share...Stop back tomorrow.

Two Page Scrabook Layout - "Dream Job"

Hello! Today I'm posting one of the last few scrapbook layouts from my California trip last June.

Have I mentioned that I love my paying job? Well, of course, there are many duties and days that are not my favorite, but overall, I truly love what I do each day. This layout is about one of the fun parts of my job....travelling and meeting planning!
I help plan our company's agent and incentive trips. This agent trip is what brought my husband and I to California for this wonderful and amazing experience. The above pictures are from the welcome night on the patio at our beautiful hotel in SanDiego. After spending weeks and weeks planning out all of the details, it was a blast to see it all play out and watch our agents enjoy themselves and build deeper relationships with each other and our company.
Our agent spouses have developed long time friendships and enjoy their time together. We planned a mini spa morning and made bookmarks for the stacks of books our group donated to underprivileged children in the San Diego area.
Hope you enjoyed a little window into the fun (and very stressful) part of my job! It was a wonderful trip! There was actually very little time to take pictures of the "work" part of my trip, but I think I have one more layout of a bike tour on Coronado Island. Check back in a few days to see it.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!
