Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Sugar & Spice"

Here's another very similar layout to the one I posted yesterday. One of these is for our family album and the other is for my grand daughter's album.

 Different papers and embellishments, but very similar design and layout. That makes is so much simpler to do the second layout. 😊

 Which do you like better? I guess I'll find out once I post it on Pinterest and see how many times they're pinned. I like them both for different reasons. I do really like the flower embellishments that I made for this one.

I think I've posted all my layouts from this fun little photo shoot of my grand children. I might have a few more birthday layouts from last year. Maybe I'll post those next. You'll have to come back tomorrow and find out.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Family by Chance..."

A few years back we set some time aside for a sibling getaway weekend with my husband's siblings. We had a great time together. We stayed up all night playing games and talking. Here's  a scrapbook layout of some of our time together.

If you saw my post from Monday, you'll recognize some of these as the photo that our boys decided to re-enact with their spouses. So funny!

 These are some of my favorite humans! We love each other in spite of our faults and irritations.

 Looking back at these pics from a few years ago, makes me want to frame a few of these for our guest bedroom. They turned out well!

 Love the woodgrain paper with the honeycomb pattern. It reflects the mix of our personalities quite well! The little alphabet stickers are perfect for making a long title take up less space on the page. I try to emphasize the most important words and fill in with the letter stickers.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Then and Now"

I'm sure you've all seen the great pictures of people recreating their baby pictures as adults! So hilarious! My husband and I were at a sibling getaway with his siblings in northern Michigan. We were taking lots of pics of ourselves. Some were silly and some were serious, because you just never know when that picture will be the last of all of us together, right? My two boys and their wives decided to recreate not only our picture which we had posted on Facebook, but also to recreate some pics from their own childhood. I found these side-by-sides of them on Facebook the next day. I still can't stop laughing every time I see them.

 These boys of mine and their beautiful wives are keepers for sure! They are either making me laugh my head off or making me cry...for real! Most of the time, it's joyous laughter, though!

 Aren't these pics of their childhood photo re-enactments just the best!! My boys are 6'4" tall. I just can't stop laughing at these strapping boys being so silly together.

 I especially can't stop laughing at the bottom right photograph. It's clear that my youngest son, Jacob isn't flexible enough to get his foot all the way up into his big brother's crotch anymore. Too funny! I really wish they could have found some snazzy red and white striped pj's for him to wear for the re-enactment! 😂😂😂

 And now, about the layout...I love the way it turned out with all the colors and layering of patterned paper and simple embellishments with buttons and snipped paper circles.

My heart is so full, looking back at the old pics and also laughing about the new memories they made re-enacting them together!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "So Sweet"

Here is the last, most precious layout from our Fall 2013 photo shoot. She's such a sweetheart, even when she's not full of smiles.

 Just look at that sweet face. Oh my goodness!!

 The My Minds Eye paper continues with this last layout of our family photo shoot. I love the beautiful designs in this set of paper and embellishments. I may need to buy more. I used some lace and purchased sticky circles to make the lace flowers topped with a button and scrappers floss.

Two Double Scrapbook Layouts - Fall Family Photo Shoot

Can you believe we are just as close to 2030 as we are to the year 2000? How is this possible? Time keeps ticking away, and the new years keep arriving with surprising regularity. Each year I'm reminded that we need to make the most of our time here on earth. Lets make each day count, because we will never get it back.

Do you have any snow yet? We had a green Christmas here in Indiana. I will miss the pretty fall foliage until we get some snow on the ground. Fall is still my favorite time of year and I adore all of the great photos we got during our Fall 2013 photo shoot. (Photo credit to Just Shoot Me Photography).

 This is a super easy layout with My Mind's Eye paper and embellishments.

 If you look closely at this tree you'll see the letter "L" carved into a heart. We didn't do the carving, so somebody else was looking out for our perfect photo shoot.

 Our sweet grandbaby is now 2 and 1/2 years old. She and her new baby brother put the sunshine in our lives!! We are so honored to be their grandparents.

It was raining the morning before our photo shoot, so my hubby and I decided to check out the area to see if it was muddy and if the leaves had started to change yet. Of course, we took a few "unofficial" pictures as we checked out the park.

 The paper is from Fancy Pants, Close to My Heart and StampinUp. I used StampinUps Fall Foliage stamp with a darker grey ink to create the leaf watermarks on the woodgrain paper. I was pretty happy with the look. The title is cut with Cricut's Lyrical Letters "jumbo".

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Our Boys"

Being a Mom is one of my greatest blessings! The responsibility of being a Mom changes through the years as does the relationship with your chidren as they grow up. However, even as they find that special someone, get married and have children, they will always be my absolute pride and joy!

Here's another layout from our fall family photo shoot of 2013. These are our boys! We couldn't be more proud of the young men they have become.

Most of the paper, banner, and chipboard accents are My minds Eye "Lost and Found".

 
 The "Boys" title is from Graphically Speaking and the word "our" is Kate's ABC's cartridge.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Family" Fall Photo Shoot

Here's another layout from last fall's family photo shoot. This is my oldest son and his precious family! I am so proud of them!!!

 They are such a great pair, and they are making a fabulous home for our sweet grandchildren. Our newest grandchild is still a bun in the oven at the time of these pictures.

 The patterned paper is all My Minds Eye "Lost and Found". I can't get enough of these colors because they are so great for fall! Most of the embellishments are from the same packet of paper, but I layered them up with scalloped punches and brads.

The title is cut with Cricut's "Going Places" cartridge. There are several jumbled letter titles in this cartridge which have made it a worthy purchase. Look at our sweet granddaughter! She's so adorable. We are completely smitten. ;)

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Priceless" Fall Family Photos

Last fall, we took a couple of hours and got some great family portraits. For me, the memories of the shoot itself are just as great as the fabulous photos you get.

It had been rainy all day and I thought we might have to cancel the photographer, but it cleared up half an hour before we got together. The park wasn't too muddy, so it all worked out beautifully.

 I used My Mind's Eye "Lost & Found" because of the rich, traditional blues and gold that matched our clothing perfectly. Most of the embellishments were included with the MME paper pack.I added a few additional punched flowers and a punched "bitty banner" from StampinUp.

 I love the moss on the roof of this building! It was the perfect setting and our photographer is a friend which helped us relax a little. But seriously, how could she go wrong with this ridiculously good looking family??? :)

Double Scrapbook Layout - "Family Matters"

Wow...Summer is about gone and I don't feel ready for fall yet. Don't get me wrong, fall is my absolute favorite time of year, but the summer just got here!

I'm still thinking about sunshine, sunburns, and sand between my toes. Here's another layout from our St. Augustine family vacation to share. Maybe this will help summer time live on awhile longer.

 These are a few more shots of our family pictures on the beach. Some of Mark and I and the rest of this whole crazy, beautiful family that we started together so many years ago. Look how we've grown! My favorite part of this page, aside from the pictures, of course, are the little flowers punched from an old map.

 Just punch away at an old map with a scalloped circle punch, spritz them, wad then up, then unfold them and let them dry. A Stampin Up brad popped in the middle finishes them off.

I added some more of the "outtakes" with some flip flaps over the picture in the upper right hand corner. I attached the extra photo flaps to the outside of the protector, after I photographed the layout so, unfortunately, they aren't shown here.
