Two Page Layout - "Super Dad"

Father's Day is here! I hope you are honoring the Dad or Father-figure in your life. If you still have your Dad here in this world with you, that is something to celebrate. I found a layout from Father's Day 2015 that I never posted. Once I found it, I drafted and scheduled a post for today so that I wouldn't forget again!

So much has changed in 4 years since these pictures were taken. Our little grandson is now 5 and nothing babyish about him anymore. Time sure does fly. I know this was one of my hubby's favorite Father's Day because he received this cornhole game made specially for him by our two sons!!! We play this game so much every summer. Our boys put a lot of work into it and it's been a source of joy for all of us. I'm the only one who kind of sucks at playing it, but I play anyway!
I love this license plate paper and the red ruler washi tape. Perfect for the masculine layout.
So proud of the men in my life!! My father is now gone, but my husband is a great role model for manhood for our two boys as they start their families and take care of their wives, children and their homes.
My hubby spoils me rotten and I'm forever grateful to God for helping us find each other!

Enjoy your day!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Happy Father's Day"

Next week is Father's Day!!! I hope you are able to celebrate with your Dad or another father figure in your life. Father's are the unsung heroes of the family.
When Mom and Dad work together as a team, it's a beautiful blessing designed by God. My hubby is the love of my life, and he is an amazing Dad to our two boys even though they are now grown. He raised them to be strong, faithful, dependable and to love their future wives unconditionally, to treat them like a Princess of great value. My husband does that for me, and most of the time I don't deserve it. Neither of us are perfect, but we never give up on each other in those tough times. Now my oldest boy is also a Daddy of two precious little ones. I watched him take on the role of husband at a young age, and now he is an amazing Dad who loves his family well.
Father's are such a critical person in our lives. I lost my Dad a few years back (about two months after these pictures were taken) and it's such a feeling of isolation. Once we're grown, we think we don't depend on them as much anymore, but you realize when they're gone, the sense of security, continuity and safety that is lost. He was always there for me and now he's not. When my father-in-law passed away, I remember my husband and I asking each other, "Who is going to pray for us every day, now?"
Now I'm getting all sappy and wiping away the tears, but that's how it is when we remember somebody we loved dearly. So let me distract myself by telling you about the supplies I used on this layout. The paper is MME Kraft Fun Day and the pictures are matted in Bramble. The title is cut with Cricut's Father's Day cartridge. The wood accents are from Bo Bunny.

Enjoy your family today and make some fond memories together.

Father's day cards to share

While I was making my graduation cards, I  decided to go ahead and make Father's Day cards while I had my mess scattered around. Here's what I made.

The stamps are all brand new from Stampin Up! I had the paper in my stash. I cut the letters and the penants with my Cricut cartridge "Birthday Bash" and bakers twine to string it all up. If you look closely you will see the embossing on the sides created with VersaMark ink and clear embossing powder...an easy subtle effect.

I made a black style and a brown since we are blessed enough to still have both of our Dads!

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. I'm personally not ready for Monday yet, but am very thankful for a good job that I love that helps to pay the bills and support my obsession...=)
