Richard Marx - One Page Scrapbook Layout

We don't normally do much for Valentine's Day. Guess we just prefer to stay in, especially when it's chilly outside. But a few years back, my sweet Hubby treated me to a Richard Marx contest right here in town. It was so much fun!! He puts on a great show and, of course, I LOVE his music. It was a great evening together.

This beautiful paper is so pretty!! Full of pink, red, lacey doilies and all things L.O.V.E. I didn't need to add very much, except my pictures and some journaling. I matted the photos in gray, and double matted the photo of me and my Hubs. I wish I would have used my Cricut to journal, but it's at least legible! Why didn't I wear red or pink? 💕

Hope you enjoy your Valentine's Day with those you love! Have a great week!

Never Grow Up - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

It's always a treat to get one-on-one time with the grandkids, one at a time. They are fun together, but it's great to be able to concentrate on each of them separately in a way that makes them feel extra special. These pictures are of our grandson enjoying time with us at the park. It won't be long and they won't want to spend that much time with their "old" grandparents. 😢 This layout is from a few years back.

I love these two fun papers together. They're all boy just like he is.
The numbered washi tape is perfect for a kids layout, and the arrow washi tape plays nicely with the arrowed paper at the bottom of the layout. I added some black and white baker's twine on the date tag and one of the photos for extra texture.
Do you put titles on your scrapbook layouts? It's one of my favorite parts of designing the layout. All of the options in Design Space are so fun to put together and mix and match in my own way. I create and lay it out in Design Space so that I can see what it will look like together and get the sizing correct for the space on my page.

Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy your weekend!

Two Page Travel Layout - Bath House Ruins

Here's another layout from my newly completed Israel scrapbook! What a trip!!
Beit She'an was so fascinating. Beautiful columns, walls, tiles, arches, and a very interesting bath house.
It was super hot (around 108-110)  even though it was still pretty early in the morning. But we made it without melting. I tried to envision the pool that was outside the bathhouse at one time....It would have been so refreshing in that climate.
I would have loved to seen this city when it was still intact and bustling with people.

Thanks for stopping in today.

One page Fall Family Layout

It's a beautiful day and starting to feel like Fall around here! Fall is my fave! I already have my house decorated and ready to celebrate the glory of Fall. There are pumpkins and gourds on my porch... I'm sure I've jumped the gun a little, but I'm not sorry! 🍂

Here's a rare (for me) one pager from the pumpkin patch. This is my oldest son and his precious family!
I love all of the typical fall colors paired with teal! The flowers in the corner are part of the paper, so this was a super simple layout! A little bit of washi and paper strips under the matted photo and that's it! I didn't really feel like this page needed a title, so I broke my "rule" and didn't add one.

Hope you are having a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

More Birthday Scrapbook Layouts

So many birthdays!! I try to tell myself that age is just a number. I'm truly blessed and loving all the life that I'm given. Here's a layout from my birthday a few years back. I don't normally scrap my own day because I'm normally behind the camera...just the way I like it. :)

We usually go to Banditos (local mexican restaurant) because it's free to eat on your big day!
I think my youngest son must have still been at college that year. This is my oldest son, beautiful wife, and adorable kiddos.
I love this crazy family of mine. They are my heart!

And...my sweet hubby's birthday. I'm not even sure if these are all from the same year, but it doesn't really matter.
I made him Key Lime pie in memory of our recent trip to Key West for our anniversary.
This man blesses me every day with his love! I totally got the best guy! Sorry for the rest of you.

And one more...Here's a birthday layout of my two boys who are now grown men. These two...oh boy! So many stories and laughs together. I should explain that they both share the exact same day for their birthday. I'm tricky like that, I guess. They don't always appreciate the uniqueness of sharing a birthday, but I think it's wonderul...lol!
We drove down to spend the evening with our youngest at Ball State and his precious girlfriend (now wife). It's always a party with this bunch. 💗
This seems like it was forever ago. So many changes since then, but all of these great memories still come flooding back.

Thanks for looking at all the birthday layouts. Oh...there's a bunch more, but they'll have to wait for another day.  Thanks for stopping by my blog!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Key Largo"

We're wrapping up the holiday season. Hope your Christmas was lovely and full of love!

I'm itching to share the layouts from our 30th anniversary trip to Key West! I think it's time to see some warm layouts.

We flew into Miami and rented a vehicle to drive through the Keys. Our first night was, obviously, in Key Largo.
We had a great meal at Skipper's Dockside. It had just finished raining lightly, but we were able to eat outside under the canopy. Their key lime pie was, by far, our favorite on the entire trip! The crust made it really special!
But you're probably not here to read about my pie experiences... This layout was really simple with so many of the embellishments already on the paper from Simple Stories. I simply matted some pictures, and added them tot he page. I used Washi tape on some of them to continue the look of the Simple Stories paper.
Hope you will stop by and see more from our Key West trip. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Two Page Scrapbook layout - "Just Hanging Out"

It's that time of year for spring cleaning and window washing. I may need to hire my son to wash ours!
Our company hires college age kids of employees during their summer breaks to help them earn money for their education. It was a great opportunity for both of my boys!! Good money and lots of fun. This is my youngest son rappelling down the building washing windows. He loved it! His Momma was a little freaked out watching him, though.
The paper from Glitz Design reminded me of water running down the windows and pulled out the color of his shoes and his tee shirt. The arrow embellies signal the motion of swinging down and across the wall of windows. I was kind of proud of myself on this one! <me patting myself on the back>
I added a pop of orange with a few chipboard embellishments and a mustache paperclip...so appropriate for my bearded boy. He's obsessed with his facial hair!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Stop back again soon.
