Happy Halloween - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

How are we almost through October already! I can't even handle how time is flying, but here we are only a few days before Halloween.

Here's a Halloween layout from a few years back. I love purple and orange together, but only for Halloween layouts. πŸ˜€

I will always remember these fun Reece's eyeball candies. They were so much fun and I haven't seen them since. Look how little my grandbabies were here! This was from 2018, so much has changed in the last four years.
For this layout I used a mix of pics of my fall decor, along with pics of the family celebrating. I also used a mix of tags and plaid Halloween themed paper.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Enjoy your week! May you have enjoy your treats with hopefully no tricks!!

Happy Halloween - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

It's way past time to post another layout! Time got away from me!!

Halloween slipped by so thought I'd make a really quick post and share this older layout from 2017 (I think). I'm trying to do so much better about adding the dates to my layouts. I missed this one, though...Scrapbook fail!

I really like the purple and green together for Halloween pages. Neither of these papers are actually Halloween designs, but they work!
I usually have quite a few pictures on a page, so this layout worked pretty well for 8 pictures, especially with a few of the smaller size pictures in the mix.

Hope you enjoy this super simple layout. Have a scrappy week!

Halloween Treat bags

How was your Halloween? Do you make special treat bags for your favorite Trick or Treaters? I try to make something cute for my little grands every year. Even if it's as simple as using a brown paper sack and drawing a silly face or Jack-O-Lantern on it. This year I cracked open my Cricut !
The owl is for the little Miss and the Bat (or is it Dracula?) is for the little Mr.
I found this bat bag in Design Studio. It fit perfectly on a 12" mat and one sheet of 12x12 cardstock with a scrap of green. I may need to buy a bigger mat and enlarge the bag for next year...They may need more candy?? πŸ˜„ I did change the eyes and the mouth on the bat. I think he will like it!
For the little Miss, I used the same bag design, but found a cute owl for the front. It was pretty easy to size the owl to the proper size for the front of the other bag. I ran it through my Cuttlebug to look like feathers. And those little feet!!! 😍 I'm a bit of an owl freak, even though the little Miss is not as excited about them as she used to be.
I used my new StampinUp!'s" Everything Festive" to stamp a cute tag to tie on the side. I wish I would have had black and white baker's twine...I will have to get some for next time!

Our Trick or Treating night was postponed from Thursday until tonight! Isn't that crazy?? We had really strong winds on the 31st and the authorities were concerned, because it was also so wet and rainy, that power lines or trees could get blown down and hurt somebody. Hmmmm....I guess there is a first for everything!! Anyway, I'm looking forward to trick or treating with my favorite 7 and 5 year old. πŸ˜ƒThen they are sleeping over!! PawPaw and I love making memories with them!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Happy Halloween"

When our boys were little we didn't do much to celebrate Halloween. They had their school parties, and as they grew up, they celebrated with their friends. Now that we have grandchildren, we celebrate with them. 😊
This layout is from two years ago. Sawyer was Captain America and Scarlet was, of course, the cutest fox ever. Look how much fun they are having, bringing in their haul of candy!
I wish the weather today was as nice as it was two years back. It could be a little soggy and chilly as we walk through the neighborhood with the kiddos. Today, a new tradition starts! The littles will trick or treat with their Mom's family in her brother's neighborhood and then come to our new house and trick or treat with us! We are loving our new home and neighborhood and we're excited to show off our sweet grands and get to know our neighbors a little better.
Lots of patterns and colors going on here, but it's kind of like scrapping Christmas...You just have to go with it. I really love this paper and the purple and green title! Hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy a fun and safe Halloween!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Trick or Treat"

It's almost time for trick or treat! Each year the whole family walks the streets together with the kiddos to scrounge up yummy treats. I love watching their faces full of excitement. This was 2015, so Scarlet (ballerina girl) was just getting the hang of it and Sawyer (Curious George) was hanging around in the wagon.
I decorated a bag for each of them and packed it full of kid-friendly treats for them to eat later. I know, Grandma should be spoiling with all the candy, but I knew how much they would hauling in that night.
I used a clear liquid that dries like a shiny gel to accent the spiders and bats. You may be able to see it on the close up.
Who knew purple and orange were so fun for scrapping Halloween? Check out my DIL (Minnie) and son (Wolverine)...never too old for Halloween fun.

Thanks for stopping by today! One more Halloween layout to share soon!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Happy Halloween"

Who is ready for Halloween? It's almost time! It's tons more fun now that grandkids are in the picture. We're invited to follow along the trick or treating trail with them and enjoy the experience first hand.

Here's a layout from 2014 of our cute little owl and pirate. Aren't they just adorable? I remember being so excited to find this owl costume on sale at Cracker Barrel. Score one for Grandma!
We had a great time and made some fun memories
I believe the orange paper is from SU, along with some patterned paper scraps, and washi from my stash. The owl was cut with Cricut's Hoot N Holler cartridge. Who doesn't love some bats and spiders too, as long as they're not in my house! StampinUp's bitty banner punch comes in handy for the cutest little banners.
If you stop by later this week, I'll be sharing a Halloween layout from last year. See you soon!

Two Page Layout - "Oink Oink"

Halloween 2013

Last year Halloween was pretty rainy and dreary as you can see from my hair in these pictures. We still got out to see the cutest little piggy, EVER!
This is a super simple layout with six 4x6 pictures going across the page. I love pink and orange together, especially when scrapbooking a furry hot pink piggy! We got her a cute board book and she enjoyed looking through it and hearing Grandma bark like a dog. Who wouldn't, right? The cutesy little pig embellishment was cut with my Cricut and adorned with light pink ball fringe around the collar, and glitter on her cheeks.
Halloween has now come and gone again. I can't get over how fast time flies. It's totally crazy...I wish I could slow it down sometimes. These years are so precious!

This year (2014) we had fun trick-or-treating with our grandkids in our neighborhood. Scarlet is two and a half years old now. She was an adorable owl!! She went to the door, knocked, said trick or treat, said thank you, and then echoed the homeowner and said "your welcome"....Great fun! Our grandson is 6 months old and he was a tough little pirate, complete with drool, smiles, and lots of wiggles. It was the coldest evening we've had so far, so we only went a block or two, but we made memories! I guess you'll have to come back next year to see the scrapbook pages for 2014 Halloween, but I'll give you a little teaser...
We are blessed to have our sweet grandbabies so close! =)
