Comfort Food - One Page Layout

 Oh boy...there goes Fall! Temps have dipped down more than 30 degrees from last week to this week. We even had snow over the weekend. Wow...I'm just not ready for the "W" season yet.

Time to post some yummy, warm pics of comfort food. This warms me up on the inside...just looking at the pictures. Yes, we are already breaking out the soup pot. Tonight is leftover chilli.

I love my red cast iron soup pot. This is actually my second one. I wore out the first one. My husband looks forward to seeing the red pot on the stove. It signifies something good is about to happen!! He is so easy to please with food. I haven't made very many meals that he didn't like. Soup is one of his faves through the cold months!! It also means, leftovers the next day! WooHoo!

Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Fattening? Yes! I try to eat low carb, though, and this fits in pretty well if I use Keto bread. Anyway...I love the mix of patterned paper that makes my soup pot pop off the page. The eat sign is from Design Sapce, wrapped with black and white baker's twine.

Eat This - Two Page Maui Scrapbook Layout

 Here's a little two page Hawaii inspiration for you. This is my second to last layout to share from my completed Hawaii album of our trip in 2019.

I must admit this is the first time making a burger on my Cricut. Right down to the sesame seeds on the bun. Pretty cute, but I wish I could eat it. Right now...

I created my title to look like the menu. Did you notice that? 

The journaling was written with my Cricut. I should really do this with every layout, because it is so much more legible than my writing...But...it takes so much longer to get it the way I want it on the Cricut and sometimes, I just want to get the layout done. 

The woodgrain tape helps ground the page. I added a cute orange button with an arrow and few little pennants made from scraps to accentuate the photo of us.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Sweet"

Have you ever been to Extraordinary Desserts? It's an upscale, and amazing bakery in San Diego. If you're ever there, you need to at least experience it once.

 I admit, it's way too expensive, but most amazing and one of a kind food is overpriced.  I've never seen such beautiful, and delectable desserts in my life. There was a line well outside the door!

 It's hard to see too much of it with these photos, but trust me that it's worth experiencing.

 The shiny Kraft paper is from StampinUp! I used the Quarter Note cartridge for the title, Birthday Bash for the cake, and Artistry for the "Eat Cake" embelly. The SU 3 flower punch was perfect for the little flowers decorating the cake. I glammed it up with some Wink of Stella.

Two Page Layout - "Delicious"

Have you ever scrapped about a special meal? If you've ever eaten at a Brazilian Steakhouse, it's definitely worth documenting for all time. The hotel we stayed at in Niagara gave us a BOGO coupon for this all you can eat steakhouse. It was a carnivorous event and worth every cent!!

 I made my own journaling tag to fit the center square. I used an embossing folder to create notebook paper with lines for neater journaling. I need all the help, I can get.The striped paper, stickers, banners, and embellishments are from a vintage pack that I had in my stash. I thought the number banners were appropriate since the servers keep bringing you meat to your table over and over, and over again, until you turn over you coaster to red as a signal you've had enough.

I am so terrible with dates. I had to fix the date above to 2011. My husband will catch it every time, but I just don't remember the years. Maybe I should stay more current with my scrapbooking...lol.
