Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Hello Fall"

Last week felt more like fall. This week, we're back to summer. That's okay, though. I'd like to keep fall in my future and present, rather than in my past. We all know what that means...winter. Bleh!

Just before the new year, my husband and I moved into our newly built home! It was so very exciting and rewarding after many long years of  getting out of debt, helping our youngest with college tuition, saving, and making due in an 1100 square foot home. We raised our two boys there and had so many amazing family memories there.

This layout features our old home and some of our fall décor from a few years back.

 There was nothing fancy about this home, but we took good care of it. Although, we think it may have been one of the cutest in the neighborhood. It was built in 1954, so it took a lot of time and there was always a project that needed to be done.

 Lower left is my hubby and youngest son. This was before he was married and he still lived with us. We are so blessed that he was so helpful and felt responsible for the yard work. With so many trees, leaf pickup was a huge job each year.

I don't remember where I purchased this paper, but how perfect for the glorious colors of fall? The pictures pop with the dark matting. No need to really journal, except the date. 

Hopefully I will have a layout of our current house to share at some point soon! We've had a ball decorating...And guess what? There are still projects to do! But we are loving it and feeling quite blessed!!

Two new scrapbook layouts - "Dude" and "Picturesque"

Hello! What beautiful weather we're having here in Indiana. Quite a bit chillier than last week, but it's still so great to see all the leaves and flowering trees in all of their glory!

All of the sunshine is inspiring me to share a beach layout from spring break last year. My son was invited to join a family and his classmates in Florida! Lucky! The beach is made of cork. The starfish are from Cricut--Life is a Beach. The wave was cut freehand...I added stickles to the edge to sparkle it up. The pictures are so great of the guys hamming it up for the camera. They crack me up! Ahhhh....Makes me want to go on spring break. What is that anyway? =)

Next is another layout from our New York trip. This church is located downtown Lake Placid. My hubby got some great pictures of it...They were begging to be scrapped. The title font is Cricut--Quarter Note.

I trimmed around the vines on the patterned paper and added to other parts of my page. I also used the bracket border punch.

Wow! Posting two days in a row here. =)

Thought I'd share this layout on my own blog since it was posted today on Multi-photo Scrapbooking blog!! I love this blog because they feature multi-picture layouts from scrappers who want to upload and share their work. Check them out, be inspired, and think about participating in some of their challenges.

So here is one of my favorite layouts that I have been saving for the right moment! I love it because it features my one and only husband who has worked so hard on our little house over the past 20 years. We (meaning "he") only have a few more things to do and then we will sell it and try to find something just a little bit bigger...I need a scrap room! LOL!

Left side shares a 20 year olf photo (left) of him working on nursery for Joel which was our first project, and the picture on the right was taken this summer working on exterior painting.

Right side is here. I should have grabbed a picture of the dining room because he totally renovated that as well. It's a beautiful gold color with wainscoating and lots of beautiful white woodworking. I know...How could I forget that, right? I'll have to point it out in a future layout.

Paper:  Die Cuts With a View black cardstock, Tim Holz antique measurig tapes

Accents:  Srew top brads, machine stitching, "Strength" definition done in various fonts on word processor, Photos in little houses cut with square CM punch, Roofs same square punch, but cut the square diagonally into triangles, faux stitching on roof tops done with black fine tip marker, DIY title cut from sheet of cork using Cricut, and journalling with label maker

Random

Here's another layout I thought I would share with you. On the Rd to Hana, there are random waterfalls everywhere you look. People are stopping and getting out to take pictures all along the way. This layout has a defnite tropical look, but adds a lot of pink and mauves....cools it off a little. I used some sweet cork chipboard letters and I just happened to have the perfect ribbon to match.
