Shine - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Oh how I love fall. Are you ready?? Could fall last forever, please? Time to share some fall inspiration with you.

We took the kids to the sunflower field for a fun photo shoot a few years ago. I'm so far behind in posting, but I love reliving all the memories as I look through them all.
Grandkids are just the best, aren't they??
My sweet, beautiful Scarlet!! She is my girl fix. I've never been blessed with a sister, or a daughter of my own, but I've got this girl! I created this layout for her photo album. It had been a year or so since I had added any pages. She is always so excited to look through her book.
I didn't use the typical fall themed paper. I knew she would enjoy these colors, though. The paper is PhotoPlay "Memory Lane" and Pink Paislee by American Crafts "Again and Again". The
journaling card is Vicki Boutin. CTMH glimmer brushes came in handy for the center of the sunflowers.
Thanks for looking!! Enjoy your week.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Bixby Creek Bridge"

The Big Sur (Pacific Coast Hwy) is home to some of the most beautiful sites I've ever laid eyes on. The rocks, cliffs, beaches, and absolutely gorgeous blue water stretch up and down the coast for as far as your eye can see.
The Bixby Creek bridge is a beautiful site to see from all directions. I took so many pictures, but none of them really do it justice. We ventured out to the edge of the nearby cliffs to try to get the best angles. Of course, my husband ventured much farther out than I did.
One of the most beautiful sites we saw while in California, but there are so many more...
The paper and chevron washi from Pink Paislee Indigo Bleu made a nice backdrop to show off the beautiful pictures. The navy herringbone washi is from Studio G. The StampinUp! five petal and triple flower punches made quick work of the flower accents topped with miscellaneous brads. The title font is Cricut's Jubilee.

Thanks for stopping by and taking this California photo journey with me.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Road Trip"

Last year we took an amazing trip to California. We took so many great pictures, that I decided the trip deserved it's own album.

We flew from Fort Wayne to San Francisco, but the main event was a business trip in San Diego. We rented a vehicle in San Francisco in order to really get out and see the area.
The hills of San Francisco are no joke...and neither is the traffic, but it was fun to get the lay of the land and develop a plan for the next day. We were only in San Francisco a day and a half, so we had to make use of every minute.
The paper is Pink Paislee "Indigo Bleu" and MME "Cut and Paste". The chipboard, journaling tag, and shiny elements are also from Cut and Paste. The title is from Cricut's "Going Places" cartridge.
Our trip was about 10 days long! I'll be posting more soon from my California album, so feel free to stop back soon and check out the rest of our travels.

Two Page Layout - "Maid of the Mist"

Hope you've had a relaxing weekend. Mine has been very unproductive, due to recovering from the stomach flu.  I must be getting old. It's taking me awhile to bounce back, and I'm so impatient. Hopefully I'll feel stronger tomorrow and be able to get back to work.

I love Niagara Falls. Have you ever been? My husband and I went September of 2011. The Maid of the Mist is an amazing boat ride that takes you up close and personal with the falls where you can experience their beauty and power with all of your senses. Even with the raincoat, we were drenched, but it's so worth it to hear the roar and see the water churning. These pictures of us were snapped prior to the boat ride (pre-drenching).
The patterned paper is Pink Paislee's Indigo Bleu, including the journaling tag. This is a pretty simple picture grid. I had so many great pictures, and it was brutal to keep this to one two-page layout.

I hand-cut the banner and wrapped scrapper's twine between two brads for a nautical feel. The bits of scraps, tags, and die cut key near the title came in a package of odds-and-ends purchased at JoAnn's. The title is from Cricut's Jubilee cartridge.
The design allowed for seven 4x6 pictures in addition to two wallets.

I look back at these pictures and realize how far I've come with my weight loss journey. I'm still on this journey of losing weight and getting healthy, but seeing this picture of myself back then is such a great reminder that I don't want to go back that direction.
