Two Page Layout - "Life with you is a Hoot"

Here is my final (and favorite) layout from our 2013 anniversary trip to Nashville, IN. What an awesome place to get away together. This log cabin was such a treat. Here we are...still together after 28 years. =)

We totally suck at selfies. Seriously...we took about twenty before we could stop laughing at the horrible pictures and take a few good ones. These turned out pretty cute, though. My husband is such an amazing man, and I can't imagine doing life without him. I'm truly blessed to share my time on earth with him.
The paper is MyMinds Eye and don't you love the zipper ribbon from Close to My Heart? The cute pair of owls is from Cricut's Hoot N Holler.
Have a great day!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Covered Bridges"

Here is another layout from our 2013 anniversary weekend at a log cabin in Nashville, Indiana.

These covered bridges were so beautiful covered with sparkly snow. I know we're all looking forward to warmer weather and it's just around the corner, but snow is undeniably beautiful.
And look at the architecture inside of this bridge. I found it fascinating.
The Coredinations cardstock was watermarked with a circular stamp using VersaMark. The deer stamp is Glitz Design "Finley" popped on a punched scallop circle and embossed, then layered on glitter paper, and silver chevron washi.
The ball fringe adds a little bit of texture. The title is Cricut's Plantin' Schoolbook font.

Two Page Layout - Brown County Indiana

Hello friends! Today I have another layout from our 28th anniversary trip at a beautiful log cabin in Nashville, Indiana.

The shopping area in Nashville has quite a few little shops to browse through. I'm so thankful my hubby likes to shop, even more than I do. We found some great finds and a few Christmas gifts for family while we were there. The little town hums with excitement and tourists all year long, and especially at Christmas time. The snow wasn't much of a hindrance. There are tons of great places to eat with great home-cooking on the menu.

The polka dot paper is My Minds Eye "Cest LaVie" and I used SU designer series to matt some of the pictures. No page is complete without Washi tape and a bitty banner punched from scraps of SU paper, cardstock, and a local map of the area. It's strung on scrappers twine between two SU brads.
The Brown County Indiana die was purchased at one of the local scrapbook shops. I could have spent hours browsing through all of the goodies.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Stay tuned for two more layouts of this snowy weekend in southern Indiana.

Two Page Layout - Dogwood Point

Today, I'm sharing another layout from our snowy 28th anniversary adventure in Nashville, IN. This one shows you the beautiful little cabin and the surrounding area in daylight.

The snowstorm the night before left 10-12" of beautiful pristine snow on the ground. My dear husband had to go out and shovel so we could get out and about. They cabin management team sent their snowplows around to all of the cabins. We were snowed in for awhile and loving it!
We had a beautiful view of the mountains and could see nothing but trees and snow out the window.
The paper is StampinUp! designer series. The title was cut with Cricut's Lyrical Letters and the snowflakes with ArtPhilosohy. Ball fringe, scrappers twine, and a few rhinestones add just enough bling to this snowy layout. The journaling tag is from Echo Park.

If you are ever in the market for a frosty log cabin getaway, make sure you checkout Dogwood Point. Be sure to stop by my blog later this week to see the covered bridges and the cute downtown area.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - Nashville, Indiana

This snowy, sub-zero weather makes me wish I had a fireplace. Nothing like curling up to a toasty fire, with your sweetheart. But here we sit in our cute little house with no fireplace. Thankfully, though, the furnace does a great job of keeping us warm, even though we are lacking the romantic ambiance we desire.

For our 28th anniversary, I surprised Mark and rented a log cabin in Nashville, Indiana. Our anniversary is the first week in December. When we left, they were predicting snow, but we figured we'd drive out of it since we were heading south. Little did we know how much snow we were in for.

If you ever get a chance to rent a log cabin in the snow, go for it! We drove down this long, narrow, snowy lane with the porch light acting as our beacon. Wow! What a great adventure. It was just the two of us in the log cabin perfection!
The paper is Creative Memories and Jen Wilson. The bold aqua, blue and red snowflakes were cut with Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. I purchased the title die at an adorable scrapbook shop in town. I backed the log cabin with brown paper to help it show up better on the snowflake paper.
The fireplace was so warm and cozy!!! The next evening, after sweeping it off, we enjoyed the hot tub out in the snow. It took some convincing to get me out there, but man oh man....it was the best.

Come back later this week for a few more layouts from our Nashville, IN winter adventure.
