This is Life - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Vacations are the best! Who wouldn't wish to be on vacation all the time? Obviously, not a very realistic dream, but they tell me there is this thing called retirement which will be coming some time. The older we get, the more we look forward to enjoying each day to the fullest and not having a daily alarm and work schedule.

Here's a another sunny layout from our Lake Michigan long weekend getaway in September 2018.

Most of the paper is We R Memory Keepers. I had fun finding some Cricut images to add to the page. Probably could have added some more things, but the paper itself had a lot going on.
What a beautiful day! Not a cloud in the sky, and that beach!! It was a little bit chilly, but who cares with a view like this!
These pics could probably be taken anywhere on Michigan's west coast, but I believe this was in Holland while we were there with Mark's siblings.
Matching paper makes it so easy to layer up a layout. Everything matches and you really can't go wrong.

Hope this brings a little sunshine to your day!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Isla Verde Beach"

Have any of you been to Puerto Rico. There are some beautiful spots. Our hotel was on Isla Verde Beach...an amazing location. This is why I picked this place for our meeting location.
This is the view from the deck of the restaurant where we ate each morning.
If you've never been to Puerto Rico, you should maybe check it out sometime.
This is a super easy layout with mainly washi tape for embellishment. I try to use some wallets when I have so many pictures to fit on a layout.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Seaside Stop"

I think this is the last layout I have to share of our California trip in June, 2015. It was a fabulous trip!! We're heading back for a business trip next week, but there won't be much time for sight-seeing, so I probably won't take very many pictures.
I adore this paper from We R Memory Keepers. The California journaling tag is from Echo Park wrapped with Karen Foster Scrappers floss. The burlap flowers are Paper Studio.
I punched several different size mini flowers with my StampinUp punches and layered them up to create different flowers. The title font is called "Seaside".
Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out the last of my California layouts. Have a lovely day. The sun is finally shining here in NE Indiana, and I'm loving the warmth!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Beautiful Cambria"

After following the beautiful Big Sur (Pacific Coast Hwy 1) we landed in Cambria for the night. I found the FogCatcher Inn on line and fell in love with it. I couldn't wait to see it in person. It didn't disappoint!! Nothing fancy, but a very relaxing and beautiful room with a view and a fireplace.
The view out the window was amazing. We walked on the boardwalk along the beach for awhile and just listened to the waves roll in. It was truly a destination in and of itself.
I wish I could say I added all of the beautiful shells and coral on this page, but it was all printed on the paper when I bought it. After adding my pictures, journaling and title, I didn't feel like I needed to add anything else. I could have stamped and embossed some shells, cut them out and popped them up, but I liked the simplicity and decided that "done" is good. :)
The paper is from Sandy Lion "Coral Reef" and the title is from Art Philosophy and Lyrical Letters. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! More California Dreamin' pictures coming soon.

Two Double Page Scrapbook Layouts - "St. Augustine Beach" and "Rise and Shine"

Finally, here are my last two layouts from our St. Augustine trip. What a great family trip. I hope we can do this again sometime soon.

Yes, I packed I a lot of memories on this layout. We had so many beautiful pictures, I couldn't help myself.
I used My Minds Eye Collectable, Bazill cardstock and a strip of Stampin Up designer series paper. I'm loving the beachy vibe with the greens and blues.
The burlap flower accents are from Little Yellow Bicycle. I was so excited when I found these on the clearance rack! They stick up quite a bit, but it helped to take off the foam strip and use a flatter adhesive.
I crinkled up the strip of paper used across the center of the page. When adhering it, I purposely let it fold over itself just to add some texture and definition. The title is cut with Cricut's "Jubilee"
The last layout is features the beautiful sunrise off Vilano Beach right out the door from the beach house we rented. We had to get up pretty early to get these shots. It was the one and only day we saw the sunrise. I'm not going to lie... we went back to bed for a few more hours. =)
The textured cardstock is Bazill with strips of My Minds Eye, Authentique and Stampin Up. The Washi is We R Memory Keepers and Pink Paislee.
I used a Close to My heart stamp set for the oval journaling tag and cut the outline and the blue flourishes with Art Philosophy cartridge. The title font is Cricut's Jubilee.
My favorite part is the pair of palm trees cut as a silhouette with Life is a Beach cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by again today!

Double Scrapbook Layout - "Family Matters"

Wow...Summer is about gone and I don't feel ready for fall yet. Don't get me wrong, fall is my absolute favorite time of year, but the summer just got here!

I'm still thinking about sunshine, sunburns, and sand between my toes. Here's another layout from our St. Augustine family vacation to share. Maybe this will help summer time live on awhile longer.
These are a few more shots of our family pictures on the beach. Some of Mark and I and the rest of this whole crazy, beautiful family that we started together so many years ago. Look how we've grown! My favorite part of this page, aside from the pictures, of course, are the little flowers punched from an old map.
Just punch away at an old map with a scalloped circle punch, spritz them, wad then up, then unfold them and let them dry. A Stampin Up brad popped in the middle finishes them off.
I added some more of the "outtakes" with some flip flaps over the picture in the upper right hand corner. I attached the extra photo flaps to the outside of the protector, after I photographed the layout so, unfortunately, they aren't shown here.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! More sunshiny layouts from St. Augustine are yet to come.

Two double layouts!! - Family Beach Vacation photo shoot

I hope that you and your family have taken time to enjoy a vacation together recently. Last May, we splurged on one week at a beach house in St. Augustine, Florida. What a treat! We made some great memories together. We planned in advance to take some family photos, so we set the theme and everybody packed an outfit for the photo shoot.
The paper is My Mind's Eye "Collectible". The title is cut with Cricut's Art Philosophy.

We didn't really know any photographers in the area, nor did we want to spend the money for a professional, so my husband took them! We love how they turned out and all the memories they bring back.
This is my oldest son (above), his beautiful wife, and our precious grandbaby! We had a lot of fun together. It was so great to have all of us under one roof. They have a beautiful baby boy now, so maybe we will have to go again soon!
Next up (below) is my youngest son and his (then) girlfriend. Here's where it gets tricky...All these beautiful photos that we'd love to display, with these two beautiful, photogenic people. But it's a little awkward since she is no longer part of the family. We enjoyed our time there together, though, so I still scrapbooked them all. Now that a little time has passed since the breakup, the memories are still sweet.
Aren't these pictures fabulous? The weather had been so windy and a little unpredictable the whole week. But this evening, there was a perfect couple of hours just as the sun was getting lower in the sky. The clouds rolled in as we were finishing up. Thanks, God!
The die cuts are also from MME "The Sweetest Thing" collection and the title is cut from the Jubilee cartridge. I adore this sunny woodgrain paper (MME Collectibles)!!  I wish I had more!
These layouts are some of my favorites!! My hubby did such a great job with the pictures and we had fun in the process. I have several more to share with you...another day.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you can soak up a few rays this summer.

Two Page Layout - "Beach Bums"

Our family vacation to a beach house in St. Augustine was amazing! We brought home some spectacular beach pictures, and they were some of my favorite photos to scrap.
This gorgeous woodgrain heavy duty cardstock is Authentique Heidi Swapp. It was perfect for these sunshiny beach pictures of my precious family. The washi tape is Pink Paislee's "Indigo Bleu". I used a blue matt for the pictures in the center of the double layout and used Fiskar's postage stamp edge punch.
The gulls, pelican, and title came from Circuit's Life is a Beach cartridge. We saw so many pelicans, gliding along the shoreline. The lizards were entertaining and we even saw a few spiders, which I refuse to remember in a scrapbook page.
We had so many amazing pictures, that it was extremely hard to narrow down the ones I wanted to scrap. The grid design of this layout and varying the size and shape of the photos really helps to pack them in with style.
The Basic Grey circle banner was a cute nautical addition to the upper right corner of the layout.
The tags were from a sheet of miscellaneous tags in the DCWV travel stack. I used a hole punch and some twine to complete the layered look.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I'll be posting more layouts from our time in St. Augustine over the next few weeks.
