With Sugar on Top - Two Page Christmas Baking Scrapbook Layout

Christmas is just a few days away....so it's time to share another layout!

This was our annual cookie baking time with the family in 2019. Lots of chaos and fun, along with some yummy cookies for everybody to take home. These cut outs just melt in your mouth. It's the same recipe my Mom used through the years, and it is straight out of the old red Betty Crocker cookbook.
I love seeing the joy on their faces!! I hope we can continue this tradition.

Once I figured out the best layout for the pics, it was a super simple layout using strips of scrap paper across the bottom. I used a border punch along the bottom red strip and journaled on it. I found the adorable title and gingerbread cookies in Design Space. Super simple...Hope you enjoy!

Baking Spirits Bright - Two Page Scrapbook Layou

Baking cookies together is one of our favorite traditions. Each year our tribe gets even more creative and enjoys creating their tray of masterpieces together. Even the grands did such a great job. The cookies turn out beautifully.

We made cookies together yesterday, but these pics feature our cookie making from 2018.

This was the first time making cookies in our new home. What a joy to have an island with space to spread out. Our oldest son's family brought their new puppy, so he added to the cuteness factor! The middle bottom picture (above) is my granddaughter seeing the brownie roll out cookie dough for the first time! Priceless reaction!!
Our family brings us such joy!! I'm so glad that they live within a 20 minute radius and we are able to hang out together about once a week! We are blessed! I know many grandparents are separated by such distances. It may not always be this way, so we treasure the time together.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and checking out my Christmas layouts. I have a few more to share this week. Hope your week leading up to the celebration of our Savior's birth is blessed and safe.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Cookies"

Do you and your family have the tradition of making Christmas cookies each year? We do! I'm actually surprised how much my grown kids seem to enjoy it and this year, the grands were really enjoying it as well. I love our time together!!

This was the last time making cookies at our old house. Such sweet memories there, all packed in around the dining room table. What a mess, but so much yummy fun! When the cookies were all decorated, of course we had lots of frosting left in the tubes so my youngest boy and his wife decided to take care of it for us. Katie squeezed the tube so hard, the top flew off and frosting went all over her face and jacket!! She took it like a champ. What else can you do, right?
I love my family so much!  We just celebrated our first Christmas with these crazies in our new home. What a blast! I love making all of these new memories in our new place. We made cookies last Saturday together and I can't wait to put together a new cookie decorating layout to share.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are up to your elbows in Christmas festivities!

Two Page Layout - "Cookie Monsters"

Whether you are a snow lover or not, there is something about the crisp, clean snow covered landscape that is absolutely beautiful! We got about 6" here in northeast Indiana. It's still very clean and piled up in the streets of our neighborhood since they've been busy plowing the main roads. It certainly hasn't stopped us from being out and about. The Hubs and I have been running around town finishing up our Christmas list. I think we are almost done. =)

It's time to share some Christmas layouts from last year that I have been saving for you! Making the traditional Christmas cookies is usually part of our celebration. In fact, sometimes we make them for Valentines Day, and just because. It's always a little messy, but tons of fun. My youngest son, who lives at home when he's not away at college, still likes to get into the fun.
The Jillibean Soup patterned paper makes a nice background for all of the colors in the cookies. I can't get enough patterned paper! I cut a large bracket map with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge using blue Bazzill cardstock and sliced off a thin portion for the left page, and used the remainder on the right page. The glitter snowflake stickers are from BoBunny and the alpha stickers are Basic Grey.
I added a length of olive ribbon from American Crafts and a cute brown reindeer cut with the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. I added a little blue pearl as an eye for the reindeer, and more glittery snowflake stickers.
Here are both pages together displaying a total of 7 photos, complete with journaling. I didn't make a note of the journaling tag brand, but I believe it is Basic Grey's Aspen Frost.
Now that Jacob is home on winter break, I'm hoping we can take some time to make some of these yummy cookies! I love all of our Christmas traditions!!

I hope you are beginning to enjoy this season of Christmas, and all of the fun family times that come your way! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
