Rescue Bots - Birthday Banner

My daughter-in-love asked me to help with my grandson's birthday party by making a banner. The theme was Rescue Bots!! He lives and breathes Rescue Bots!
I found the images on Pinterest and printed 2 copies each on white cardstock.
Then came the laborious task of cutting around the outside of each character. Then I cut another layer of whichever body part I wanted to accentuate. Above I popped cut a second layer of the character's right arm, head and chest. I used foam dimensionals to pop them out.
I cut Happy 5th Birthday out with my Cricut and large letters to spell out his name.
The banner pieces were also cut with my Cricut and I layered the white on the larger black piece. The Cricut image also cut the holes at the top for the string.
My grandson was pretty ecstatic about it!! It's now hanging in his bedroom (minus the first Happy Birthday piece). It was a labor of love, but I had a great time doing it, and love how it turned out. The smile on his face, was priceless.
I also created a banner a few weeks later for my sweet granddaughter with L.O.L. Dolls! Oh my goodness! It's so cute! I will be posting it some time soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Happy Birthday"

Wow...I sure have been holding out on all of the birthday layouts. Here's a layout of my grandson's 3rd birthday.
Lots of pictures, but also a little bit of white space. I love all of the colorful stars.
This little dude makes my heart smile. He is a sweet boy and doesn't like to disappoint, but he can be ornery! And the energy level....Wish he could share that with his Grandma!
My son's fiance (now wife) asked my daughter-in-love to be one of her Bridesmaids during the party. Of course, this was a highlight of the day! I love them both, and we feel blessed that our son's have found the love of their lives. We've watched with joy as our boys have grown up and turned into amazing husbands!
Super simple layout, but the stars and the title set it off for me. Hope you find some inspiration and have a scrappy week!
