Road to Hana - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Time to dream of paradise! The Road to Hana is more of a journey than a destination. The adventure of the skinny, winding road where there is barely enough room for only one vehicle at a time. The waterfalls, bridges and cliffs at almost every turn. The scenery and foliage bursting with every color of green imaginable. You must start very early so that you will have time to stop, get out, explore, and take pictures, and still have time to drive back in daylight. Getting back in daylight is really, really important. Take my word for it. You do not want to be on that adventure at night!

The watercolor patterned paper reminded me of the waterfalls and it pairs nicely with the blue tropical patterned foliage strip! I embellished the layout with road signs made of Kraft cardstock with white lettering, fern leaves, and highway (Road Trip) sign. The strip of wording along the bottom was cut from the bottom of the 12 x 12 paper. It worked as a nice little detail.
As always, I layered the embellishments in groups of three (odd number) forming a triangle on my page to help draw the eyes across the page. The three pops of bright green leaves help bring out all the greens in the pictures.
Hope you enjoyed this little daydream in paradise! I have several more Hawaii layouts to share, so please come back soon!

Father, Husband, Protector, Hero - Two Page Scrapbook Page

Happy Father's Day to my favorite fathers. My Dad has been gone for a few years, but I still miss him every year. He will forever be my loving protector and provider! So thankful that I can honor my loving Husband and Son on this special day!! Where would the world be without Fathers to lovingly guide and direct us?
My Husband is faithful, loyal, true and loving to me and our entire family. He leads by example and will lovingly correct us when we're on the wrong track. He is my supporter, my encourager, and truly the wind beneath my wings. He makes the world a better place and I couldn't be more blessed to call him MINE!😍
My oldest son is not only an amazing son, but he is also a wonderful Husband to his wife, and Father to our grands. If that is not enough, he is on the brink of graduating (with Honors) from the Police Academy. My son will be a hero/protector to the entire community!! We are chest-popping proud of him! It's a tough time to be a cop! He is faithful to his calling and stepping into harms way to make a difference in all of the violence and unrest.🙌
I adore these colors together, especially for this masculine layout. I cut the title with my Cricut and then used the negative as a stencil to place the letters on my page. The leaf outlines add just a little bit of texture. The hounds tooth navy decorative tape is one of my faves and perfect for this page. I just added a few banners in the corner for balance, and let my Cricut do the journaling for me.

Happy Father's Day to all of the hero/protectors in your life! Let's honor them today for impacting our life. If your Father has already passed on like mine, lets honor their memories today. Even if you didn't have a Dad around, or if he hurt you in some way, take heart! Our Heavenly Father is watching over us and ready to help you.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you". Matthew 7:7

"For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:13

Two Double Page Scrapbook Layouts - "St. Augustine Beach" and "Rise and Shine"

Finally, here are my last two layouts from our St. Augustine trip. What a great family trip. I hope we can do this again sometime soon.

Yes, I packed I a lot of memories on this layout. We had so many beautiful pictures, I couldn't help myself.
I used My Minds Eye Collectable, Bazill cardstock and a strip of Stampin Up designer series paper. I'm loving the beachy vibe with the greens and blues.
The burlap flower accents are from Little Yellow Bicycle. I was so excited when I found these on the clearance rack! They stick up quite a bit, but it helped to take off the foam strip and use a flatter adhesive.
I crinkled up the strip of paper used across the center of the page. When adhering it, I purposely let it fold over itself just to add some texture and definition. The title is cut with Cricut's "Jubilee"
The last layout is features the beautiful sunrise off Vilano Beach right out the door from the beach house we rented. We had to get up pretty early to get these shots. It was the one and only day we saw the sunrise. I'm not going to lie... we went back to bed for a few more hours. =)
The textured cardstock is Bazill with strips of My Minds Eye, Authentique and Stampin Up. The Washi is We R Memory Keepers and Pink Paislee.
I used a Close to My heart stamp set for the oval journaling tag and cut the outline and the blue flourishes with Art Philosophy cartridge. The title font is Cricut's Jubilee.
My favorite part is the pair of palm trees cut as a silhouette with Life is a Beach cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by again today!
