Apples - Two page scrapbook layout

We love the tradition of picking apples together. Lately, it's just been hard to get our crew together for various reason. Of course, I love to document the family fun!

This apple picking party was a from a few years back. Honestly, we haven't all been able to do it again since then. Life can be complicated and hard sometimes.

I love the vintage, distressed paper! Maybe because I'm vintage, and also distressed. 😜 As much as I love working with a pack of matching designer paper, I feel accomplished when I can go through my stash and find coordinating scraps that will work together in a layout. That's what I did here. I'm pretty happy with the results.
Apparently, I was having so much fun putting the layout together that I completely forgot to add the date. Ugh! I believe it was Fall of 2020.

I cut the title with my Cricut and added checkered red washi tape vertically to give it some pop. The red and white baker's twine adds texture. I created this way before I started doing most of my journaling with my Cricut, so you'll all have to suffer through my handwriting.

Hope you are enjoying this season. What's not to love, except today it is a little rainy and dreary! Time to break out all the pumpkin and apple recipes, a pot of chili, and sit by the fire.

Apple Festival - Two Page Scrapbook Layout

Fall is my favorite, as I'm sure I've mentioned before.🍎🍁🍂 Today, I'm sharing another fall layout from a few years back. This one is featuring pictures from the Kendallville Apple Festival. It was a beautiful day and I have such great memories from being together as a family.

I am such a sucker for woodgrain paper. Most of the embellishments I used are from a fall stack of paper, including some stickers. I cut the title and swirl with my Cricut. Typically, I'm not a big fan of stickers, but they do make for a quick page that coordinates easily.
I loved the banner on one of the extra paper scraps, so I just cut it out the best I could and slapped it up in the corner. I'm still not sure that I'm a big fan of how it turned out. I added a few word banners which were also from the same fall paper pack.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you have a productive and happy weekend.

Apple of My Eye - Two Page Fall Scrapbook Layout

Fall is my favorite!!! Apples, gourds, pumpkins and everything else. Today I'd like to share a layout from a few years back featuring pictures with our grands from one of our favorite orchards.

Do you put titles on your page? I almost always do. It's another way for me to be creative with my page and make it all my own.
I used some numbered washi to line the edges, and multiple scraps of matching fall themed patterned paper. I do love to mix and match. I only had one sheet of the apple paper, or I may have used that all the way across. Leaving a space between the strips was a new thing for me, but I think I like the effect and also leaving a border all the way around and between, if that makes sense.
I matted the photos in black so they wouldn't get lost on the page. This really helped them to stand out, and also tied in the black printed washi tape. Same idea for the black and white baker's twine around one of the photos.
An apple-picking page just wouldn't be complete without layering up some apples!! Using my StampinUp! scalloped punch, I punched around one of the apples on the patterned paper, then matted it again with the 2" circle punch, then popped it all up on the page using dimensionals.
The orchard and pumpkin picking is one of our fall traditions with the grands. Love them so much! I can't believe this layout is already two years old!! They are growing up so fast! 😢

Hope you enjoy this layout. I have a few more layouts to share for fall as well as a few Halloween layouts. I better get cracking and start posting more often. Have a great week!!

Double layout - "Bushels of Fun"

Our neighorhood trees are just starting to light up with all of the beautiful colors of all. This is definitely my favorite time of year! I do wish it would stay warm for another month or two, though. Hope the color show will last as long as possible.

Last year our family made a trip to the apple orchard. The apples were very picked over, but we had fun. In fact, the weather was really hot and sticky that day. My son and daughter-in-law joined us. I've heard the apple crop is not very good this year, but we may need to go look at the gourds and pumpkins, and buy some cider. I think it should be a new tradition, especially now that our first grandbaby is here to join in the fun of it all!!!

Here's my hubby taking a bite!! I made the banner with my Cricut. It even cuts the holes for the string.

I love any color of woodgrain paper that I can find. Can't get enough!!  I used a pink/red shade for my title as well as the green. I thought the tiny ball fringe ribbon was super cute with the apple theme.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I appreciate you all!! Enjoy your week!!

Now...I'm going to go watch the debates!! =)
