Sometimes, I'm disappointed to find out that pictures of an extra special event didn't turn out like I thought they did. I almost didn't scrap them because I felt like they were too dark and blurry, and I didn't like the way I looked in them...You know how it is. Then I thought about the fact I didn't know when we would see these forever friends again. It's already been two summers since we've seen them. In this case, I decided preserving the memory of our time together was more important than how we looked, or the quality of the photos.
"Friends Always" - I didn't make a note of the brand of paper, but I believe it StampinUp designer series paper with 7 Gypsies washi tape. The scalloped circles were cut with my Cricut machine and cut down to the length of the photo.
The paper butterflies are also from StampinUp. I inked them with red and blinged them up with clear gemstones that I colored black with a Sharpie marker.
I used coordinating patterned paper for the title.
It's a little unusual for me to only use three pictures on a layout, but the extra journaling helped fill some space. I'm so happy I scrapped our friends! She has been one of my best friends since we were four years old! Love you, Nancy!
While we were in Traverse City visiting our friends, we made our favorite stop at Moomer's Ice Cream.
"Moomers" - The woodgrain paper is Close to My heart with herringbone print on the reverse. The ice cream cone and letters are from random scraps.
Moomers has fabulous ice cream and you can hang around outside and watch the cows in the field. The polka-dot paper was the closest I could come to a cow print. :)
This is another super simple linear layout. I can almost taste the ice cream now.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. If you live anywhere near Traverse City, stop in and have some ice cream at Moomers for me. Yummy!
Beautiful, as always! I love the Moomers layouts.
