Two Page Layout - "Summer Smiles"

It's going fast!!! The hot summer days are almost behind us. I want to enjoy every last one before wonderful fall is upon us. I love all of the seasons that we are able to enjoy here in Indiana.

Here's another family layout from a few summers back. My son and his beautiful family have a fun backyard complete with a pool to enjoy with the kids! What a blessing they are to us!!
I used a crazy collection of paper on this layout. Sometimes I get carried away with my patterns and colors! Half way through my layout, I usually think I'm a little crazy. I typically end up liking them more later; however, this one still not so much! The pictures are a precious memory to me and that is what it's all about. So...I'm posting it anyway.
Some of the paper is Crate Paper "ThePier", and the rest is scraps that I had on hand. The journaling card is Doodlebug Design. The title font is Cricut's Lyrical Letters.
Thanks for stopping by!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Cooling Off"

Summer is slipping away so quickly! Don't get me wrong...I adore the fall and it's my favorite, but summer...Where did you go?

Do you like scrapping summer time fun? I love the bright sun shiney colors! Here's a layout of some family swim time from a few years back. Love my family so much!
The pictures were taken at my husband's sister and brother-in-laws' home in Michigan. It's great when we're all there as a family and the weather cooperates for us to get in the pool together.
Bazzill cardstock and a scrap of polka dot paper were the foundation for this layout. The washi is from Studio G. I didn't even mat these photos, but by leaving a little bit of space between them all, the pretty blue framed them nicely. I topped it off with a green title and banners on the right punched with StampinUp! bitty banner. Easy peasey!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!!! I should really try to post 3 to 4 times a week so that I can get caught up!! Maybe I'm scrapping too much?? No...that can't be it!

Two page layout - "Mini Golf"

Who likes to paly mini golf or "putt putt" golf as we used to refer to it. I totally stink at this game, but it's always a good time with friends and family if I can set aside my competitive nature.

Last summer when we were in Traverse City, we stopped at our favorite course and had a little bit of fun. I should have saved the score card. Ha...I probably would have thought to save it, had I won? =)

Our son was with us too, which always makes our time extra special! The paper is StampinUp. Have you ever tried using your "real dial size" feature on your Cricut so that your letters are exactly the same size? I used it here and it gives the title a more unique look. It also helps you fit all of your letters neatly into a certain space on your page.
I'm just now noticing my cute shoes! My silly dog decided to use one as a chew toy shortly after this trip. =( I miss having these shoes to wear. I look at these pictures of myself and cringe a little bit. I've lost 45 pounds since then (actually, since June 2013).
I had fun with the banner going horizontally across the page. Add a length of ribbon and a few buttons and there you have it!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!! Our weather is beautiful. I think it's time to walk the dog. =)

Two page layout - "Pentwater Pier"

It's official! Summer is here for real. We have the hot, muggy temps to prove it. My husband and son are out working on the house. Dinner is in the oven so we can all eat something yummy and healthy when they come in. I definitely have time to post a layout before folding the laundry. =)

With summer in mind, here is a layout from a quick weekend getaway last summer. Our first stop when heading up the west coast of Michigan is usually Pentwater or Ludington.

I punched flowers with StampinUp! five petal flower punch. The leaves are punched from Kraft and helped add to the beachy look.

This burlap ribbon is my favorite. I can't remember where I purchased it. The burlap is held together by a plastic mesh to keep it nice and neat and a little see-through. The patterned paper strips and some of the flower layers are "Down on the Boardwalk" by We R Memory Keepers.

I've scrapped Pentwater pictures before, and they probably look similar to these....What can I say, we really like Pentwater and always take pictures. They're too cute not to scrap, even though the day was a little overcast.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Stay cool!

Double layout "Lake Michigan Mini Vacation"

Time to share another layout of my son. He's so photogenic and he's very patient with us constantly taking his picture. Our oldest son is married now, and they aren't always able to join us when we head out for a long weekend. So....he's our main target. Every once in awhile we give him the camera so he can shoot some of us.

The patterned paper and stickers are from Creative Memories. I picked these up at a crop I attended last year (on sale...yay). The mini sun stamps are from StampinUp! I just love all these pictures of my handsome son. We are so blessed with such great kids!! I cut the title with my Cricut, with either the Jubilee or Lyrical Letters cartridge.
I found a stamp in my collection that I used as rays around the striped circles. The "picture perfect" sticker is Creative Memories.
Here are both pages together. This layout went together fast and easy!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a great week!

"Enjoy Life" summer layout

Ah....the weekend, finally! Hello Friday!

Today, I want to share a fresh summer layout of our vacation last year. I added it to my son's album just last week before his party. I've scrapped some of these pictures for our family album, but Jacob wanted last summer represented in his album too. I love that he cares!

I love the bright green cardstock and the way it makes the pictures pop. I also matted each photo on white for even more definition. The patterned paper is from the Teen Angst collection. It has a little shiny stripe in it. I've had this orange felt "laugh" sticker in my stash for probably close to a year! So fun to finally use it! The circular stamps were purchased on the clearance rack at Michaels. This was the first I'd used them, but so perfect for the layout. Also cool that my scrappy friend had a circle punch the perfect size to punch them out! I love it when that happens!
I used the Notebook punch to put a little detail on the edge of the strip going across the middle. I cut the sun with my Cricut and layered it on another patterned paper cirlce behind the title (Graphically Speaking). Again, I used some smaller wallet pictures in order to pack them in (11 pics) and still have the space to get a little creative.

Here's a closeup of the journallng and layering. I mounted the "Be You" stamped cirlce onto a larger patterned paper cirlce and fringed the edge all the way around. It turned out kind of cool!

Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful weekend!
