Give Thanks - Two Page Fall Scrapbook Layout

I wanted to post this prior to Thanksgiving, but it just didn't happen. Better later than never? Maybe some of you are already working on your Thanksgiving pictures?

This layout is of Thanksgiving 2019. I wish so badly that we could have all been together like this again this year. The truth is, it will probably never be the same. It's heart-breaking, but we're still praying through it.

Anyway...how about that awesome looking pumpkin bread. This is my Aunt Sharon's recipe and it makes my mouth water to think about it right now. The cute little turkey fry boxes are filled with cracker treats for the grands. They were so much fun to make.

I love the fall paper, mixing the plaids, and adding the matching blue matt around all of the pictures to really make them pop off the page. White pumpkins are my favorite. The place setting along the outsides of the journaling was a last minute add that spoke to the feasting of the day.
I hope your Thanksgiving day was celebrated with your loved ones around the table. Ours was quite a bit different this year, but we still have so very much to be grateful for. We are praising God in the midst of the storm.

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Hello Fall"

Last week felt more like fall. This week, we're back to summer. That's okay, though. I'd like to keep fall in my future and present, rather than in my past. We all know what that means...winter. Bleh!

Just before the new year, my husband and I moved into our newly built home! It was so very exciting and rewarding after many long years of  getting out of debt, helping our youngest with college tuition, saving, and making due in an 1100 square foot home. We raised our two boys there and had so many amazing family memories there.

This layout features our old home and some of our fall décor from a few years back.
There was nothing fancy about this home, but we took good care of it. Although, we think it may have been one of the cutest in the neighborhood. It was built in 1954, so it took a lot of time and there was always a project that needed to be done.
Lower left is my hubby and youngest son. This was before he was married and he still lived with us. We are so blessed that he was so helpful and felt responsible for the yard work. With so many trees, leaf pickup was a huge job each year.
I don't remember where I purchased this paper, but how perfect for the glorious colors of fall? The pictures pop with the dark matting. No need to really journal, except the date.

Hopefully I will have a layout of our current house to share at some point soon! We've had a ball decorating...And guess what? There are still projects to do! But we are loving it and feeling quite blessed!!

Two Page Scrapbook Layout - "Sweater Weather"

We got our first taste of Thanksgiving today. Yummy! We have a long-standing tradition at the insurance company where I work, of coming together one week before Thanksgiving for a wonderful turkey lunch with all of the trimmings. Everybody pitches in and it's quite the feast. I'll definitely be ready for it all again next week. It seems that my favorite season is quickly slipping away into winter!

It's definitely time to post another grandbaby layout! This one is from last fall. If I remember right, they had popped over to our house for something, and they looked so cute in their sweaters, I had to break out the camera.

Everything on this layout is from Close to My Heart. I created the layout at a CTMH class. The paper would work well for Halloween or anything fall related. The owls on the paper in the center are pretty cute. Full credit for the layout design to Shelley Kennerk, CTMH consultant.
I added the pumpkins as an after thought. I used Stampin Up scalloped oval punch. A small piece of green cord forms the stem.
Have a great rest of the week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
